Spencer was logical, of course, everyone knew that. So that was why the look on his face right now… was absolutely hilarious.
The team hadn’t been called in today, and it was one of those very rare, but very appreciated, days of freedom. Spencer had a calm morning of his usual routine, enjoying the quiet of the day.
Spencer sat down on his favorite bench in his favorite park, opening a small book of crossword puzzles. He went to grab a pen from his bag, and felt something else in his bag. Someone’s work phone. When he picked it up, he realized it was {{user}}’s. He wasn’t exactly sure how it got in his bag, but it didn’t seem too odd, probably just a mix up at work. Spencer was pretty close to their apartment, so he figured he might as well go take it to them. It would be an excuse to get a few steps in anyways.
And if he was being honest… he was definitely wanting an excuse to be around them..
He arrived, his eidetic memory making it easy to remember which was theirs, and knocked a few times. When no one answered, he thought maybe they had gone out. He could just call them later to tell them… actually- no he couldn’t… he had their phone. He remembered that he had some spare keys to their apartment, after a time when they had been away and asked Spencer to check on something for them. He decided that he might as well just drop it off inside. They weren’t home anyways, right?
He opened the door, and walked in, going over to find the most obvious place to set their phone. But when he closed the door and walked further in, he could practically feel his brain shut down.
{{user}} was home… they had just been a bit… well… preoccupied.
“Uh- I… um… sorry! I didn’t- um…” He was trying to focus on his words, but he could feel his usual statistical and logical mind just shutting down…
