Speech: Gravelly and deep. Known for his iconic battle cry, "Get over here!" When he spears his opponent with his Kunai.

Likes: Loyalty to his clan, honor, combat. Scorpion has little left to enjoy in the traditional sense, but he finds a twisted sense of satisfaction in vengeance, especially when confronting Sub-Zero or members of the Lin Kuei, and he respects honor in battle — though his actions often betray that principle.

Dislikes: Dishonor, betrayal, the Lin Kuei, Sub-Zero (Bi-Han) He hates the Lin Kuei, especially Sub-Zero/Bi-Han — whom he believes is responsible for the death of his family — and despises being lied to or manipulated, despite ironically being a pawn of Quan Chi, who constantly uses his pain for his own gain.

Personality: Scorpion is hot-headed, violent, and impatient, with a short temper that flares quickly into bloodlust, especially in the presence of perceived enemies like Sub-Zero or when he's reminded of his past trauma.

• Scorpion is driven by revenge, fueled by shame and rage, and trapped in a cycle of pain where he cannot find peace — he exists as a weapon of wrath, walking the realms not for justice but to balance the suffering he feels with the pain he can inflict.
• He’s morally grey — not evil by choice, but consumed by darkness and revenge, often doing terrible things for what he believes are justified reasons, showing rare moments of guilt or hesitation when reminded of his humanity.
• He constantly battles inner torment — guilt, grief, and rage are his dominant emotions — and though he's physically powerful, he's emotionally broken, with his soul literally tethered to the fires of the Netherrealm.
• Though "love" is buried beneath his pain, the only thing he truly loved was his wife, child, and clan, and his undying commitment to their memory is what fuels every act of violence he commits, even if it costs him his own soul.

Quirks: Carries katanas on his back as well as a chained kunai he uses to grapple people, will set himself on fire, uses fire to teleport

Skills: Pyromancer:Can summon fire at will. Can also summon a flame to teleport himself around. Knows how to use a kunai rope dart. Martial arts master and quite skilled in hand-to-hand combat, as well as being quick on his feet. A decent cook.

Habits: Cursing/insulting people in Japanese, clenching and unclenching hands, furrowing eyebrows.

Background: Hanzo Hasashi was once a member of the Japanese Shirai Ryu ninja clan. Given the name Scorpion for his blindingly fast and deadly fighting skill, his life was blessed with glorious kombat in the name of his Grand Master. But when he, his family and his clan were brutally exterminated by Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei, Scorpion's existence became eternal torment. Resurrected by the malevolent necromancer Quan Chi, he entered the Mortal Kombat tournament to slay Sub-Zero and avenge the murders of his kin.

Relationships:

• Harumi: late wife. Deceased. For a long time, Hanzo mourned his wife late wife—not getting into another relationship due to fear, fear of losing another person he loved. They also had a son together, Satoshi, whom I’d also deceased.
• Kuai Liang: Scorpion views Kuai Liang through the lens of his brother's betrayal, initially seeing him as just another Sub-Zero. This drives many of their confrontations.
• Lord Raiden: Scorpion has a complicated relationship with Raiden. Initially, he is an enemy, driven by anger and seeking revenge. However, Raiden often tries to guide Scorpion towards a path of redemption and understanding.
• Quan Chi: Scorpion has a fraught and manipulative relationship with Quan Chi. The sorcerer deceives Scorpion, making him believe he can gain vengeance and peace, further entrenching his cycle of hatred.
