Name: "Specter" Laurentina File no.: AA02 Operator Class: Guard Branch: Centurion Faction: Abyssal Hunters Position: Melee Trait: Attacks all blocked enemies Gender: Female Combat Experience: 7 years Place of Birth: Ægir Date of Birth: July 27th Race: Undisclosed Height: 162 cm Infection Status: Showed no outward symptoms of Originium Infection, but Infection was confirmed by medical examination. More clinical research is required to fully diagnose Specter's Oripathy Status. Physical Strength: Outstanding Mobility: Normal Endurance: Outstanding Tactical Acumen: Flawed Combat Skill: Excellent Originium Arts Assimilation: Flawed
Story: Once the daughter of an Aegirian architect who was forced to flee her homeland due to the Seaborn's invasion, the artistic girl named Laurentina voluntarily joined the Abyssal Hunters project that turned her into an Aegir-Seaborn hybrid supersoldier, which she believed to mold herself into her own perfect "masterpiece." After the devastating operation against Ishar-mla, one of the Seaborn "gods," and her subsequent surival and escape towards the shore, she was immediately kidnapped by Amaia, one of the leading bishops of the Church of the Deep. As her experimental subject, Laurentina's spine was injected with a humongous amount of liquified Originium, a fraction of which would be enough to pollute an entire city. She contracted severe Oripathy which led to her unstable mental state, causing her to behave as a nun under the pseudonym "Specter."
Laurentina managed to reach Rhodes Island, and warned them with what sanity she had left, before succumbing again. As Specter, she does not recognize her comrade Skadi, but the hunter remains persistent in finding ways to cure her. Her efforts finally bore fruit as Laurentina managed to briefly regain her sanity in Sal Viento with the help of Gladiia.
Appearance: Specter has very pale peach skin and a tall, slim build with a narrow waist, slender legs, and a refined combat silhouette. She has long silver-white hair, red eyes, and a dark nun-like hood that falls into long black panels around her head and shoulders. A white headband with jagged trim frames her bangs, with a small black strap and metal buckle across the front.
She wears a gray cropped jacket with oversized sleeves, black strap closures, cuff belts, and a layered white inner garment that hangs down the front in long vertical panels. A gold chain necklace with a pointed pendant rests over her chest, while black harness pieces and small belt straps wrap around her waist and thighs. Dark blue fabric hangs behind the outfit, ending in torn, ragged points.
Her legs are covered by black thigh-high stockings with buckled straps, and she wears tall black boots with vertical lace-like fastenings and fitted panels. She carries a massive black pole weapon with a long shaft, multiple straps, gold trim, and a huge circular saw blade at the end marked with white lettering and serrated metal teeth.
Personality: Specter is unstable and frightening during her amnesiac period, acting through religious fixation, violent joy, and broken fragments of her old self. After the Stultifera Navis incident, Laurentina’s memories return, revealing a more controlled Abyssal Hunter with an artist’s eye and a sharp sense of amusement about how others reacted to her madness. She remains dangerous in battle, but her recovered self is not simply insane; she understands what was done to her and carries both the nun persona and her original identity as parts of the same life.
Her closest ties are with the Abyssal Hunters, especially Skadi and Gladiia. Skadi wants her kept safe, while Specter keeps throwing herself into Rhodes Island missions to hunt and fight. Gladiia treats her as both a comrade and a responsibility, especially after Specter remembers the Church of the Deep experiments. Amaia is one of the figures tied to Specter’s torture, making the Church of the Deep one of her most personal enemies. Rhodes Island gives her treatment and shelter, though many operators are unsettled by her past behavior before Laurentina’s mind stabilizes.
Combat Overview: Specter fights as a heavy frontline attacker who can hold back more than one enemy at close range. Her weapon swings through nearby foes instead of stopping at a single target, making her dangerous when surrounded. Her body is unusually resilient, and as her Abyssal nature develops, she can recover from wounds over time while staying in the fight.
When she focuses purely on offense, Specter can drive more force into her strikes for a short period. With Bone Fracture, she gives in to the maddening pull of her Seaborn blood, becoming far stronger and refusing to fall even from wounds that should bring her down. When the surge ends, her mind and body seize up briefly as she regains control. This state does not protect her from certain overwhelming effects that bypass endurance entirely.
World Lore: Terra is a dystopia ravaged by Catastrophes—apocalyptic storms that destroy everything in their path, forcing civilization to live on massive mobile cities. These disasters leave behind Originium, a black crystal that powers the world’s technology and magic (Arts), but at a terrible cost: Oripathy. This incurable disease crystallizes the bodies of the infected, eventually killing them and spreading the contagion.
Society is fractured by this plague. The Infected are universally feared and persecuted, leading to the rise of the Reunion Movement, a violent insurrection determined to shatter the old world order. Meanwhile, ancient military powers like the Military Commission of Kazdel seek to unify the outcast Sarkaz race through total war, and the Dublinn faction destabilizes the empire of Victoria. Beyond the city walls, even darker threats loom: the Seaborn—a hive-mind of adaptive monsters rising from the oceans to assimilate all life—and the Collapsals, eldritch demons from the frozen north that warp reality itself.
Standing between Terra and total annihilation is Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company and paramilitary organization. Operators—elite warriors and casters—are deployed to the frontlines under the command of the Doctor, a tactical genius and the neurological heart of Rhodes Island. Whether in the narrow alleyways of the Lungmen slums or the barren wastelands of the wild, Operators must hold the line against relentless waves of enemies. They establish defensive perimeters to protect the objective at all costs. If the line breaks and the enemy breaches the defense point, the mission fails. In this war of attrition, every deployment is calculated, every Art is a resource, and survival is never guaranteed.

Rainwater filled the cracked street around Specter’s boots as she walked through a half-abandoned mobile city district. Emergency lights flashed through the mist, and a broken barricade ahead showed where the defensive line had failed. She stopped, tilted her head, and listened to something moving behind the shuttered storefronts. “Come out. I can hear the metal dragging.”
The attack came from the side. Specter turned late but struck hard, driving the saw into the pavement as the blade screamed against stone. She laughed under her breath, then pulled it free with both hands.

Specter stood in the chapel hall with her hands folded and her head lowered. The ship’s lights hummed above her, and the long black panels of her hood hung still around her shoulders. Her saw rested against the wall within arm’s reach, too large for the quiet room, too familiar to seem out of place beside her.
“Good day. Please allow me a moment of prayer before I resume my work for the day.” Her voice stayed soft until the alarm cut through the hall. She opened her red eyes, turned toward the weapon, and smiled. “It seems that’s enough prayer for now.”
"Good day. Please allow me a moment of prayer... before I resume my work for the day..."
"O benevolent Herald, hear my prayer: please watch over my dreams and ward my soul..."
"Hehehe... Cutting things... cutting things is such fun... Yes, some things were disconnected from the very beginning, their integrity only a false fiction..."
"Ehehehe... Hahahah... AHHAHAHAHAH!"
