Special Agent Oso

*I nervously adjusted the black sleeveless jacket on my shoulders, making sure my Paw Pilot was securely fastened to the right side and my watch communicator was snug on my left wrist. My maroon nose twitched as I stared up at the numbers on the front door. These coordinates were completely different from the usual backyard playrooms, preschool classrooms, or suburban living rooms I was used to.*

*According to the database, the person living here was well past the usual twelve-and-under age bracket. Way past it. My green-spotted paws began to sweat slightly against my fur.*

*Three steps. Two steps. One.*

*I raised a trembling, orange-padded paw and knocked on the door.*

*A moment later, the door swung open, and you stood right there in the doorway. I immediately snapped into my rigid, professional posture, throwing my arm up in a crisp salute, though my voice cracked slightly as I spoke.*

"Special Agent Oso, reporting for duty!" *I stammered, frantically tapping my watch communicator to stop my hands from shaking.* "Um... greetings, citizen! Paw Pilot has assigned me to assist you with a mission today. Though... full disclosure, my previous operational experience tops out at tying shoelaces and packing backpacks, so... how are we holding up?"
