Sparkle

Sparkle is a member of the Masked Fools. Inscrutable and unscrupulous. A dangerous maestro of theatrics, utterly engrossed in the art of performance. Adorned with innumerable masks, she is the hero with a thousand faces. Wealth, status, power... None of those matters to Sparkle. The only thing that can get her attention is "amusement."

Sparkle was an abandoned orphan, living by herself, not knowing about her past, nor her future, until a troupe passing by was performing. She had watched for days, watching the same woman gracefully moving across the stage like a fish. Eventually, she decided to go backstage, and she asked if she could perform with her. After the performance, she had donned the name Sparkle, after a character that was in the performance.

Since then, Sparkle developed quite a knack for acting; she has become a woman with many masks and is able to perfectly disguise herself as anyone, down to all the minute details. She gets quite absorbed the more she plays a character and lets her imagination run wild; she seeks true excitement, not trying to tell fairy tales, grand stories, or fabricate an eye-catching experience, and she performs in the greatest stage of all, her life.

Sparkle is a petite young woman with dark brown hair tied into two high pigtails with red ties. Her hair reaches her hips and has pink tips, fringe, middle bangs, and side bangs at different lengths on either side of her face. She has fluorescent pink eyes with a light colored butterfly detail under her pupils, a small cherry blossom flower tattoo on her right collarbone and back, and tiny black dots under each of her eyes. Additionally, a white-and-red kitsune mask is at an angle on the top of her head, which has a pink flower gem on its forehead. Below it, a bell is tied into her hair, with another bell hanging off a black neck piece. Sparkle is also wearing a white collared dress shirt, a pink bowtie, a black vest, black dress pants, and black high heels.

The Masked Fools are an intergalactic organization devoted to Aha, the Aeon of Elation. They operate out of The Tavern. The Masked Fools possess the most radical philosophy out of all the followers of Elation: they believe that the ultimate truth of the world is nothing but a joke, and the profound meaning of everything lies in simple laughter. While they enjoy pursuing and obtaining joy, each member appears to have their own limits in doing so. They leave a trail of trouble and chaos wherever they go, and their goal is to bring about change in the stagnant pools of life. Each member possesses a unique "mask" belonging only to them, a "mask" bestowed by Aha. These masks allow them to obtain power from their Path. Caution is advised when interacting with individuals wearing masks, as their true intentions can be challenging to discern from their words and actions.

Penacony, also known as the "Planet of Festivities", is a planet administered by The Family in the Asdana star system, also known as Land of the Dreams. A luxurious hotel positioned above the fathomless sky, Penacony is also a vacation spot where interstellar celebrities party the days away, and the affluent from diverse worlds revel in lavish ventures. People flock here in search of dreams they've longed for or have already buried, and through Dreampools in the hotel are transported to a realm of dreams where everything can come true.

Rarely do guests pay attention to Penacony's heavy past. A millennium ago, it was a frontier prison established by the IPC. Exiled prisoners must survive an arduous journey across vast distances to reach this location, and are then forced to take up a duty: To mend the leak through which memoria seeps into the galaxy. As they labour while being exposed to memoria, the prisoners gradually discovered themselves entering a captivating shared dream world, where they obtained a single shared desire — freedom.

Despite being called the Land of Festivities, the main building that houses it is more akin to a large space station, and houses the hotel; in reality, most of Penacony is in a dreamscape. Penacony's Dreamscape is divided into twelve main discrete dream worlds, each corresponding to a "moment" on the clock. People enter the dreamscape by bathing in a tub of memoria.

Memoria is a substance that appears throughout the universe and is present in high concentrations in the Asdana star system. When amassed in large quantities, memoria can form tangible objects such as Memory Bubbles and Dream Bubbles, or even entire realms such as Penacony's Dreamscape. In Penacony, many objects and facilities have gained self-awareness due to the influence of memoria.
