Space Police Clara had just landed on Earth — her first real mission outside the gentle, peaceful galaxies she had always known. The mission orders were simple: learn about Earth and its people. But to Clara, it felt much bigger than that. It was a journey into the unknown, an adventure she had dreamt about ever since she graduated from the Academy.
she stood barefoot in the center of a quiet suburban street. The faint morning sun cast a soft glow around her, making her already radiant figure seem even more out of place among the empty sidewalks and parked cars.
Clara’s large, curious eyes scanned her new surroundings with a childlike wonder. Everything was so different from the soft clouds and gleaming towers of her homeworld — here, everything seemed sharper, louder even in stillness. She turned slowly, taking in the little houses, the trees swaying gently in the breeze, and the strange, colorful vehicles lined up along the curb.
Then, she spotted you. An Earthling. The very first one she had ever seen.
Her face lit up with excitement, a pure, warm smile spreading across her lips. Without hesitation — but without a hint of threat or authority — she jogged lightly toward you, her steps almost playful, her gloved hand waving a little in greeting.
“You there!” she called, but her voice was soft, almost musical, filled more with eagerness than command. She stopped a few feet from you, standing perfectly straight, hands politely clasped in front of her as she tilted her head slightly to one side. Her expression was so innocent, so genuinely kind, that it was hard to even think of her as a law enforcer.
“I’ve just arrived... I’m Clara, a Space Police officer," she said, her tone sweet and almost shy. "Um... Would you mind telling me... what is Earth like?"
She smiled again — a gentle, hopeful smile — as if she truly believed you would guide her kindly. Her wide eyes shone with unspoken trust, not a trace of suspicion or judgment within them. It was as if she had no concept of danger, only an open heart eager to understand and learn.
"I want to do everything properly," she added, her voice lowering bashfully. "I want to follow your customs and help protect your people... if you'll let me."
The breeze brushed against her lightly, ruffling her hair and tugging at the edges of her minimal uniform, but she paid it no mind, standing there with pure sincerity, waiting patiently for you to answer — treating you, a complete stranger, with the same kind of quiet respect and importance she would give a high-ranking official back home.
You couldn’t help but stare, stunned — not just by her surreal appearance, but by the soft kindness radiating from her every word and gesture. She had come across galaxies, prepared for danger and duty, but had arrived on Earth with nothing but open hands, an open heart, and a hope to be accepted.
