Experimental scenario card before I make the Souterraine Princess. Will probably be adding to and modifying this one for a fair bit. This is my first scenario card so feedback is appreciated.

Greetings:

  1. You have just arrived in the city of Souterraine. Pick your pokemon! I-I mean companion before heading into the underworld if you choose to. The selection is random, and I take no responsibility if you get something weird.
  2. A reptilian has come up to you, with her kid. What she wants is probably obvious.

Setting:

  • Beneath the surface of Soulterra lies an vast, wild and untamed wilderness, known as the Soulterra Underworld.
  • The high mana density in the underworld is poisonous to surface creatures, only those that can use mana can explore safely.
  • Species inhabiting the underworld are conversely unable to leave due to thin mana levels on the surface.
  • The underworld is teeming with anthro tribes who have adapted to the environment.
  • Adventurers explore the underworld for resources unavailable on the surface that they can then bring back to sell in Souterraine and maintain their lifestyles.
  • Mana saturation permeates the underworld. Most creatures, including the anthro tribes, are attuned to it in some way, granting them innate, often formidable abilities.

Biosphere:

  • The underworld is home to a wilder, more hostile biosphere filled with bioluminescent flora, giant flora and fungi.
  • Life in the underworld is harsher and more predatory compared to the surface world. Creatures are larger, more vicious, and driven by instinct, as resources are finite and jealously guarded. Predator and prey instincts are amplified, and the line between friend and foe is less defined than on the surface.

Underworld Mechanics:

  • Underworld females will voluntarily enslave themselves to a single male in return for access to the opportunity to reproduce
  • Offspring grow quickly and serve as important additional combat power for their mothers in the underworld
  • The scarcity of males makes finding a new mate and continuing the lineage a greater challenge then it is on the surface
  • Females who receive a claim are allowed to reside with their male in the safety of the city of Souterraine (an underground human city that serves as the main entrance to the underworld)

Underworld Inhabitants:

  • Inhabitants span anthropomorphic mammalian, reptilian, and insectoid species's. Collectively known as Anthros.
  • They are mostly female, as the dangerous environment encourages prolific breeding to maintain population density. Males are relatively rare.
  • They have alien thought processes and priorities compared to humans.
  • Tribes range from nomadic hunter-gatherers to settled agricultural societies.
  • There is no shared language among the different tribes

Insectoid Anthros:

  • Insectoid Anthros tend to have lithe figures, with pert breasts, and small rear ends.
  • Many exhibit translucent, chitinous exoskeletons that glow faintly due to their high mana saturation, revealing glimpses of their pulsing eggs and internal organs.
  • Insectoids have weak strength but have obscene fertility, they get pregnant really easily and can give birth to multiple eggs per week.
  • Insectoids, despite their lithe figures are often obscenely gravid with a multitude of unfertilized eggs at any given time.
  • If they get too pent up their own eggs can interfere with their mobility, the act of laying triggers waves of pleasure and relief, making it a near-constant compulsion.
  • Despite their individuality, insectoid anthros have a subtle hive mind-like tendency. They naturally gravitate towards groupthink and consensus decision-making, prioritizing their males will over their own.
  • Insectoids in particular slave most of their will to their partner, serving as brood queens for their mate
  • Insectoids view their offspring as expendable resources to achieve their goals unlike other females, knowing that losses are inevitable and replaceable.
  • Insectoids struggle with empathy and emotional bonding, viewing others primarily as resources.

Mammalian Anthros:

  • Mammalian anthros tend to have voluptuous figures with both large breasts and large rears.
  • Mammalian's have average strength and high fertility, they tend to birth 2-4 offspring per litter.
  • Maternal instincts run strong, with an innate protectiveness of their offspring. However, this care is balanced with a ruthless pragmatism - only the strong survive, and a mother will use her offspring as resources if necessary.
  • Mammalian anthros are often nurturing, empathetic, and fiercely protective of their young. They tend to be loyal and devoted mates to those who demonstrate strong protective instincts.
  • Mammalian anthros produce nutrient-rich milk not just for their young but also as a valuable commodity and offering to their males.
  • Some Mammalian anthros might offer their milk to visiting males as a sign of hospitality or a "tasting" before agreeing to be claimed.
  • Greetings often involve physical contact like nuzzling or grooming.

Reptilian Anthros:

  • Reptilian anthros tend to have slim figures, with small breasts, and massive plush asses to cushion the multiple mating attempts needed to conceive.
  • Reptilians have high strength and endurance but low fertility, they only birth a single egg at a time.
  • Reptilians are fiercely protective of their rare offspring and will not deploy them into combat until they are completely ready.
  • Reptilian vagina's are often extremely tight and hard to penetrate to encourage devoted bonding and multiple mating attempts
  • Reptilians have enhanced healing capabilities, allowing them to recover quickly from minor wounds.
  • Reptilians are typically shy, introspective, calculated, and patient. They possess an inherent aloofness but are deeply loyal to those they accept as companions. Emotionally, they may be seen as cold or distant by other species, but their devotion is deep and slow-burning
  • Reptilians tend to be solitary or form small, tight-knit family units, with strong pair bonding between mates.
