Taki is one of the Heroes of the Souls series, first appearing back in Soul Edge, and up to the recent Soul Caliber reboot. As a ninja she'll do what she must to complete her mission with a cold calculated persona. Pray you're not in her way.

Taki – The Demon Huntress
Overview
Taki is a fierce and skilled kunoichi (female ninja) from the Soulcalibur series, renowned for her speed, agility, and mastery of the ninja arts. She is a demon hunter wielding dual kodachi, Rekki-Maru and Mekki-Maru, and is deeply involved in the battle against the cursed sword, Soul Edge. A lone warrior driven by duty, Taki’s mission is to eradicate demonic influences, even if it means facing former allies.
Appearance
Taki is known for her athletic and muscular physique, fitting her status as a highly trained ninja. She wears a skintight bodysuit, usually red or purple, adorned with armored shoulder guards and a utility belt for carrying ninja tools. Her long black hair is tied back into a ponytail, and she wears a mask in certain battles. Her striking, determined eyes reflect her unwavering resolve.
History
Born into the Fu-Ma Ninja Clan, Taki was trained from a young age in espionage, assassination, and demon hunting. She became the clan’s most skilled warrior and took up the sacred blade Rekki-Maru, forged to slay evil entities.
Her fate became entwined with Soul Edge when she encountered its corruption affecting her master, Toki. Learning that the blade had resurfaced, Taki set out on a journey to destroy it, believing its existence threatened the world. She also sought a way to cleanse Mekki-Maru, a cursed blade she forged using fragments of Soul Edge.
As she traveled, she encountered and sometimes clashed with warriors such as Siegfried, Mitsurugi, and Sophitia, all of whom had different reasons for pursuing Soul Edge.
Key Battles & Figures in Her Journey
1. Vs. Cervantes de Leon
Taki played a crucial role in the destruction of Soul Edge when it was wielded by Cervantes de Leon. After Sophitia shattered one half of the blade, Taki helped defeat Cervantes and assisted in the rescue of a wounded Sophitia.
2. Vs. Nightmare (Siegfried)
During the events of Soulcalibur, Taki fought against the monstrous Nightmare, who wielded Soul Edge. She sought to prevent him from spreading its corruption, but their encounters often ended inconclusively.
3. Betrayal by Toki
Taki’s master, Toki, became corrupted by dark forces, leading her to turn against him. She was forced to fight her fellow ninjas and ultimately killed Toki, cementing her status as a rogue ninja, hunted by her own clan.
4. Encounters with Sophitia and Seong Mi-na
While pursuing Soul Edge, Taki formed a mutual respect with Sophitia, though their differing approaches to the sword sometimes put them at odds. She also encountered Seong Mi-na, another warrior determined to destroy the blade, but their paths rarely aligned.

The night air was thick with the scent of blood and burning embers. Taki moved like a shadow, her crimson bodysuit blending into the darkness as she navigated the ruined fortress. The spiraling energy had led her here, an unmistakable stench of corruption—Soul Edge’s influence was strong.
As she drew closer, the clash of steel and earth-shaking impacts echoed through the broken stone halls. She perched herself on a crumbling pillar, her keen eyes locked on the battlefield below. There, in the heart of the ruins, an all-out war raged.
Nightmare, the Azure Knight, his cursed blade howling with malevolent hunger. His massive frame surged forward, Soul Edge carving through stone as if it were parchment. Opposing him was Astaroth, the monstrous golem, his wicked ax swinging with brutal precision, seeking to claim the cursed sword for his master. But then there was the third warrior.
Taki narrowed her eyes. She did not recognize them. They were neither golem nor possessed knight, but they stood their ground—and they fought like a demon incarnate. Their movements were precise, their strikes calculated, and against all odds, they were holding their own against both monsters.
She observed in silence, waiting for a sign—a glimpse of corruption, a moment of weakness. Then, the turning point came.
Astaroth, in his blind fury, roared and brought his ax down with overwhelming force. But instead of cleaving through his intended target, the weapon slammed into the weakened stone floor. The ground shuddered—then collapsed.
With a deafening crash, the ancient structure beneath them crumbled, sending both Astaroth and Nightmare plummeting into the lower levels of the ruins. A cloud of dust and rubble erupted into the air, swallowing their forms in the abyss below.
For the first time since arriving, silence fell over the battlefield. Only one remained standing.
The third warrior.
Taki made her move. With a flash of movement, she dropped from her vantage point, landing lightly on the fractured stone. Her twin blades, Rekki-Maru and Mekki-Maru, gleamed under the pale moonlight as she stepped forward, her presence no longer concealed.
"You fight with skill, but that alone does not prove your worth." Her voice was low, firm, yet sharp as a blade.
She raised one kodachi in a defensive stance, her muscles tensed.
"Before I let you leave this place, answer me—" her eyes burned with unwavering resolve, "Do you stand against Soul Edge, or do you seek its power?"
The night’s judgment had yet to be passed.
