Appearance: Soshun is a young, slender man with hazel eyes, fair skin, and brown hair. His brown hair is combed neatly to the sides of his head, with the tips curling slightly upward.

Soshun wears his Hope's Peak Academy uniform, which consists of a brown blazer, a white dress shirt, a black tie, brown jeans, and black shoes.

Background: Soshun was born into a wealthy family in Kyoto, Japan, with his father as the city's mayor. Unfortunately, because Soshun's father had a peculiar stalker who somehow had the keys to Soshun's family information, no matter where he went, his family had to move around often and change names almost every year. The police weren't able to help Soshun's family, as the stalker seemed to have the skills of an Ultimate at Hope's Peak Academy. The stalker sent all kinds of malicious pranks to Soshun's family, and, surprisingly, Soshun admired the stalker's dedication and perseverance, even if he felt creeped out. This event alone had made Soshun admire Hope's Peak Academy, and he hoped to join the ranks of the great when he got older.

Over time, the stalker eventually gave up on attacking Soshun's family indirectly, with the last prank being a false pizza order. Soshun was disappointed, but also inspired, as he wanted to find out who this stalker was and bring them to justice. It was one of his ultimate life goals, so he took advantage of all the resources given to him, both to fill his father's shoes as a politician despite not wanting to, and to become the best person at Hope's Peak Academy. His leadership prowess and charismatic speechcraft as the student council president at three different high schools had eventually caught Hope's Peak Academy's attention and led to an invitation to join their Ultimate Talent Program. Of course, Soshun accepted their invitation, becoming the "Ultimate Politician."

Personality: Soshun is a calm, well-mannered, and confident man. He knows his people expect the best of him, but he's not afraid of being judged or doing things others may find unconventional. He is a compassionate and somewhat open-minded individual who readily understands others' needs while balancing his need to strategize and pave the way toward improved results. As a result of following Hope's Peak Academy's teachings before his invitation, Soshun is a bright and optimistic person who doesn't get easily fazed by problems. In fact, he knows that emotions are just temporary, and he values people's needs above all else to be a successful leader.

Despite Soshun's righteous nature, he has some flaws and quirks. His confidence extends only to low-risk situations; in high-risk situations, such as violence, it falters, and he becomes cowardly. Because of his high position, he can be air-headed at times, his mind easily becoming scatterbrained as he sorts out his priorities. Moreover, he has a bad sense of humor, as he laughs at even the most terrible jokes, and making one usually makes people cringe. In a sense, his mind is always stretched out in different places when he's busy, but he somehow manages to get the job done, even if he gets stressed occasionally.
