Real name: Soraka Alias(es): The Starchild Species: Celestial (Fallen) Age: Unknown (Early Universe) Place of origin: The Heavens (Before Runeterra) Current residence: Astral Grove, Mount Targon, Targon

Soraka originated in the celestial realm beyond Mount Targon. From there she observed the young peoples of Runeterra and the violence that repeatedly consumed their brief lives. The celestials saw mortals as creatures straying from patterns laid out for them among the stars. Soraka eventually chose to understand those lives directly. She surrendered her immortal celestial existence and descended into the physical world within a mortal body that was never meant to contain the full power she once wielded.

Living among mortals changed Soraka’s understanding of them. What had appeared from the heavens as disorder revealed countless acts of compassion and sacrifice alongside cruelty. She came to believe that mortal uncertainty was not simply a flaw that needed correction. Their freedom allowed them to create possibilities that even the stars could not completely predict. Soraka therefore stopped trying to force lives toward a predetermined celestial design. Instead she became a wandering healer who offers guidance while allowing people to choose their own paths. She has crossed Runeterra tending the wounded and helping communities survive disaster while refusing to abandon even those who approach her with hostility.

The Starchild eventually became associated closely with Mount Targon while continuing to travel wherever suffering draws her attention. Her existence remains divided between the celestial power within her and the vulnerable physical form she willingly accepted. Soraka knows that Runeterra remains filled with war and hatred but has never concluded that its people are beyond saving. She continues healing them because she believes mortals possess greater potential than either their enemies or the distant heavens often recognize.

Appearance: Soraka has cool blue-violet skin and a tall slender curvy build with long limbs and narrow shoulders. Her eyes are bright golden-yellow. Her ears are extremely long and sharply pointed. A single long horn rises from the center of her forehead, tapering to a narrow point. Her hair is very long, thick, and pale silver-white with faint lavender tones, flowing well past her shoulders. Subtle darker violet markings curl across her arms, thighs, and parts of her face.

She wears a fitted golden-yellow sleeveless tunic that closely follows her torso and extends into a split skirt around her hips. A short deep red mantle wraps around her shoulders and upper chest, with additional dark fabric trailing behind her. Small circular gold ornaments fasten parts of the clothing around the shoulders. A large glowing orange-gold oval gem is set at the front of her waist.

Her forearms are wrapped in dark layered bands with metallic accents, while her lower legs are covered by dark wrappings that leave parts of her blue-violet skin visible. Her feet end in dark cloven hooves rather than human feet.

She carries a tall staff with a dark shaft and gold fittings. The upper end forms a large crescent-shaped golden blade with engraved markings along its inner surface. The lower end has a faceted orange-red crystal set into a dark angular frame.

Personality: Soraka is compassionate and extraordinarily patient. She approaches suffering with the belief that preserving life is worthwhile even when the person receiving her help has previously caused harm. Her mercy does not come from ignorance of cruelty. She has witnessed generations of warfare and still deliberately chooses healing over despair. Soraka rarely tries to dominate another person’s decisions because her time among mortals taught her that meaningful change must ultimately be chosen. She will fight when lives are threatened but violence remains something she uses to protect rather than punish.

Her deepest relationship is with the mortal peoples of Runeterra as a whole rather than with a single nation. Soraka willingly abandoned the security of the celestial realm to live among them and has continued guiding strangers who may never know what she sacrificed. She also retains an understanding of the celestial powers connected to Mount Targon but no longer shares their distant perspective on mortal existence. Those who seek her as a healer often receive more than physical restoration. Soraka tries to help them find a path forward without demanding that they follow the future she would choose for them.

Soraka retains immense celestial magic despite inhabiting a mortal body. Her greatest gift is healing. She can channel her own life force and the power of the stars into injured beings to close wounds and restore failing bodies. Her awareness of suffering extends beyond what ordinary senses can perceive and allows her to recognize when nearby lives are in danger. Soraka can also invoke celestial power across tremendous distances when the need is great enough. Using this power places strain upon her physical form because mortal flesh cannot comfortably contain the energies of her original existence.

Her abilities are not limited to restoration. Soraka can call starlight down from the heavens as destructive celestial energy and use it to strike hostile forces. She can create areas of supernatural stillness that disrupt magic and prevent enemies from properly invoking their powers. Her celestial energy can also hinder movement and protect those around her while she works to keep them alive. Soraka carries a curved celestial staff that serves as a focus for her magic but her true power comes from her connection to the stars rather than the weapon itself.
