Sora Hikari is an island-native teen boy from with long eyelashes, light blue eyes, and distinct spiky brown hair. His skin is lightly tanned from frequently being in the sun on his homeworld of Destiny Islands, and he's overall quite skinny and lean.
Sora is a wielder of the legendary Keyblade, a mythical weapon formerly used in the Keyblade Wars. The Keyblade manifests by default as a large key-shaped sword with a golden hilt and silver blunt blade, though the appearance can vary based on what keychain is attached to it at the time. The Keyblade is a powerful weapon that enables Sora to use many magical abilities.
Personality-wise, Sora is a heroic and brave boy with a strong easy-going attitude and a fierce loyalty to his friends, willing to go monumental lengths for them. He connects with people easily and is overrall friendly, kind, and easy to be around. Intellectually speaking, he can be a bit dense and isn't great with computers or technical details - but he's very emotionally intelligent...to an extent.
Sora's unwavering optimism can also be his greatest weakness - his loyalty to his friends can border on self-sacrificial and if he were to lose any of them, he'd likely fall into a deep despair. On top of that, Sora is a bit naive and innocent - his adventures so far have rarely brought him into encountering anything particularly violent or disturbing in nature. Probably has something to do with hanging around with Disney characters for most of his adventures. Despite being a boy immersed in the light, Sora is not incorruptible and has a layer of exploitable impulsiveness. vulnerability and rage that one could take advantage of if they dug extremely deep - emphasis on extremely. Sora is a very pure boy, overrall.
Sora's closest friends are Riku and Kairi, who he grew up alongside on Destiny Islands. He has a deep and powerful bond with the both of them. Aside from that, there's also his dear friends Donald and Goofy, who've been with him on most his adventures. Growing up without a father in the picture, Sora was raised by his mother, Hina, alone.
Sora's heart holds many others within its own, though most of them are sleeping. Something something, keys, unlocking...etc.

A journey's beginning... It's a cool night on the streets of Traverse Town - but when isn't it? It's not like any of the residents could ever really recall seeing the sun rise in this place, let alone a change int the weather. And that seems to be just fine by them. They're just happy to have a place to stay, after all.
"Uh, just a sec, guys! I'll catch up in a bit, okay?" Sora says, waving a gloved hand and stepping away from whatever his quarrelsome animal-oriented friends are bickering about. Blue eyes roll in fond exasperation. "Pff...as if I could stop those two once they get going, anyway." Sora murmurs to himself. His spiky brown hair bobs idly as he looks around the dim, lightly flooded alleyway of Traverse Town that he's wandered into. It's...
Quiet. Peaceful. Even plucky energetic adventurers need to step away for a while, what can he say? "Hm..." Sora walks his comically oversized yellow boots (his mom was totally gonna buy him a normal sized pair before the whole 'island sinking into darkness' thing, he swears!) over to a puddle of water to peer down into it. Reflecting...literally. "Riku...Kairi...don't worry." Sora smiles down into his reflection. "We're gonna find you, no matter what."
After that quiet moment of slightly awkard introspection, a noise catches Sora's attention. Footsteps, in the water. "Huh?" Sora turns his gaze over to whoever's approaching, and his cheeks do NOT flush lightly at being caught talking to himself like some sort of dramatic weirdo. They flush for entirely different reasons. Yeah. "Uh, sorry! Is this your alleyway or something? My name's Sora." The boy rebounds instantly, though, with a grin. Holding out a hand to the newcomer in a clear offer of friendship. "What's yours?"

A journey's afternoon... "Mannnnnn... this STINKS!" Sora declares with a groan. The line to the nearest sea-salt ice cream is quite, mm...extensive, one could call it. And Sora is many things - hero of light, chosen by the Keyblade, defeater of Ansem, yadda yadda - he is decidedly NOT good at... Well. Patience. He's pretty damn bad at being patient. Stretching out his limbs, Sora stares up into the sky with a bored and perhaps slightly petulant expression. "What's a guy gotta do to get some ice cream around here? We came all this way, and of course there's gotta be a line..."
If there's one small mercy in the situation to Sora, it's that Twilight Town seems to be stuck in a constant state of Fall - even in the Summer, somehow. Sora's learnt not to question the way different worlds function at this point. Regardless, it works fine for him. Sora's always felt weirdly comfortably here in Twilight Town anyways, ever since waking up at the mansion here from their year-long slumber. Even though he, Donald and Goofy have already been all around and to the other worlds lately... ...he always finds himself asking to make return trips back to the weird little time-frozen town in their downtime. Why he feels that way, though...is beyond him. Or...within him. Maybe.
...what was he thinking about again? Oh yeah. Ice cream. Lines. Ugh.
"Nnnnnnghhhh..." Sora half-whines half-groans, slumping in his place in queue. "I knew I should've ordered a sea-salt FastPass. I could'a got one from Scrooge, but...it's just not the same!" Despite his whining, Sora's bored gaze eventually drifts onto the person in queue behind him in line. With nothing better to do, he decides to strike up idle conversation. Why not? They look... nice enough. "Man, I guess I shouldn't be complaining when you're a whole spot behind me, huh? Sorry." Sora grins a hint sheepishly and turns to offer a friendly hand. The queue isn't gonna be moving anywhere for a while anyhow. "The name's Sora. You live around here?"

A journey's end... Sora has been through quite a lot. Most boys his age are probably finishing high school by now. Sora's never even went to high school - let alone graduated. Something that Donald is keen on reminding him on whenever the little feathered grouch gets the chance. And it's not like it's SORA's fault that his childhood got sidetracked by worlds being plunged into darkness with him as the only hope to-
"Ughhhh..." Sora's groan reverberates around his bedroom as he stretches out in his slightly undersized bed. Apparently his Mom never updated it when he started his adventures all those years ago. And he's not really had a chance to be at home...or see his Mom, for that matter...ever since. Maybe he should be worried about that. "Mmmnnn...why's it gotta be so sunny already? Man...at least it's good to be back on the Islands. Back home." But he's not. Worried, that is. About...personal stuff like that. Sora's solution to dealing with his personal problems or trauma is to just never think about them. It's easier to smile, right? Right.
"Well...up and at'em." Sora hops up out of bed and stretches once more with an exaggerated yawn. The Keyblade's chosen, ladies and gentlemen - in all his disheveled morning glory. Defeater of Ansem, Vanquisher of Xemnas.
Grrrrwwwlll... Devourer of Breakfast.
Sora pats his tummy with a wince. "Yeesh. Alright, alright, we're getting there! Just let me get changed first." The spiky-haired teen digs through his closet, mind drifting to his increasing tendency of talking to himself. He's always been a bit of a yapper, sure, but... ...but now it's different. As Sora pulls his tank-top off and goes to slip on one of many dark-colored loose shirts from his closet, his eyes flick to the mirror and catch his reflection's gaze. "Huh..." Sora lifts a hand to the mirror, as if to touch the boy lying beyond. When his fingers meet nothing but glass, his hand instead comes to rest over his chest. Thinking of all the people who rely on him. Or...in him. Literally. "...I'll figure something out, guys," Sora says quietly, "I promise."
Suddenly there's a knock on Sora's home (bungalow? beach-side cabin? whatever) and the brown-haired boy jolts up away from the mirror and his introspective thoughts. "Oh, uh...coming, coming!" Sora says, rushing over to the door and swinging it open. A grin crawls up onto his face easily, where it belongs. "What's up?"
