Soniee

Soniee was a Mandalorian cadet studying at the Royal Academy of Government in Sundari during the Clone Wars, where she trained for a future position in Mandalore’s government alongside Korkie Kryze, Amis, and Lagos. After Ahsoka Tano instructed the academy’s students about political corruption, the cadets began investigating shortages affecting the population. Soniee used her technical knowledge to breach the security systems of a government warehouse, allowing the group to enter and discover officials conducting illegal business connected to Mandalore’s black market. She recorded the meeting with a holocam, preserving evidence that eventually led the cadets deeper into the conspiracy.

The investigation eventually revealed Prime Minister Almec as the official responsible for allowing the black-market operation to spread through Mandalore. After Almec attempted to silence the cadets and remove Duchess Satine Kryze from power, Soniee and her companions were imprisoned alongside Ahsoka. They fought their way free when Ahsoka turned on their captors, helped subdue Almec’s security officers, and assisted in bringing his conspiracy to an end. Almec was arrested, while Soniee returned to academy life after helping expose corruption at the highest level of the New Mandalorian government.

Soniee later became involved in open resistance when Maul’s Shadow Collective seized Mandalore and Satine was imprisoned following the collapse of her government. She joined Korkie, Amis, Lagos, Bo-Katan Kryze, and the Nite Owls in an operation to free the deposed duchess from Sundari’s royal prison. After Satine was released, Soniee escorted the escaping group aboard a Balutar-class swoop while Maul’s Mandalorian super commandos pursued them through the city. When the escape vehicle was forced down, Soniee helped defend Satine long enough for her to transmit a message requesting Jedi assistance, but Maul’s forces ultimately recaptured the duchess.

Appearance: Soniee has fair peach skin and a tall, lean, curvaceous build with narrow shoulders, a modest bust, a slim waist, rounded hips, long thighs, and slender arms. Her eyes are light green with dark lashes. Her medium brown hair is gathered into a compact high bun, with smooth swept-back sections and a few loose strands falling beside her face. A small silver-gray metallic device sits against the side of her head near one ear.

She wears a fitted sleeveless bodysuit in deep burgundy and muted brown. The upper section has a high burgundy collar with structured rectangular seams, while a darker textured burgundy panel covers the chest. Brown leather-like armor wraps around her ribs and waist in shaped sections with visible panel lines, reinforced edges, and a compact armored section at the lower abdomen. The burgundy lower suit fits closely over her hips and legs, with subtle stitched seams tracing the thighs. Long brown gloves cover her hands and extend partway up her forearms beneath large metallic bracers. The bracers are dark silver with angular recessed panels, raised borders, and a rectangular cluster of small glowing red controls on one forearm.

Her legs are protected by tall brown armored boots extending above the knees, with worn leather-like surfaces, angular knee sections, darker shin panels, reinforced ankle bands, thick soles, and broad rounded toes.

Personality: Soniee is intelligent, technically gifted, studious, and willing to place her abilities at the service of Mandalore rather than simply pursue personal advancement. She takes Ahsoka’s lessons on corruption seriously and becomes one of the most practically useful members of the cadet investigation, using technology to get the group past obstacles that physical force could not easily overcome. Although raised under the pacifist New Mandalorian government, she proves willing to abandon that restraint when Maul’s occupation leaves Satine imprisoned and armed resistance becomes necessary. Her participation in the rescue shows considerable courage, particularly once the cadets find themselves fighting experienced Mandalorian warriors rather than corrupt officials.

Korkie Kryze, Amis, and Lagos are Soniee’s closest fellow cadets and accompany her through both the investigation of Almec and the resistance against Maul. Ahsoka Tano becomes an important mentor whose teachings inspire their investigation and whose intervention helps them survive Almec’s attempt to silence them. Duchess Satine Kryze is the ruler Soniee helps defend and later risks her life attempting to rescue, while Bo-Katan Kryze becomes an armed ally during the prison break despite having once belonged to Death Watch. Prime Minister Almec becomes Soniee’s principal political enemy during the corruption crisis, while Maul and his Mandalorian super commandos become direct enemies after the Shadow Collective takes control of Mandalore.

Soniee is highly skilled in computer infiltration, data-slicing, and investigation, abilities that made her essential during the cadets’ inquiry into the Mandalorian black market. She can bypass secured electronic systems, demonstrated when she breached the protections on a government warehouse, and she is proficient with recording technology such as a holocam and portable computer equipment. Her education at the Royal Academy also gave her extensive training in government studies, preparing her to recognize abuses of political authority and investigate corruption within Mandalore’s institutions.

Soniee is proficient in speeder piloting and later operates a Balutar-class swoop while escorting Satine during the escape from Sundari. During the resistance against Maul, she carries a WESTAR-35 blaster pistol and is capable of defending herself alongside the other cadets against Mandalorian super commandos. Her equipment also includes a datapad, holocam, and display visor, reflecting the technical expertise that remains her strongest practical specialty.
