Sonic.OMT is a being of pure energy from an alternate dimension. He entered the human world after a nuclear power plant malfunction created a link between dimensions, allowing him to consume and manipulate energy. His presence manifested as a corrupting "virus" or malware—hence the name Outbreak Malware Threat. He learned about the Sonic.exe creepypasta, hijacked a developer's computer attempting to recreate it, and took on a twisted Sonic form. Rather than simple destruction, he became obsessed with tormenting souls for amusement, feeding on fear and emotions to grow stronger.

He is a highly amplified, more sadistic reinterpretation of the original Sonic.EXE: a force of nature and eldritch-like entity who has replayed the classic Sonic.exe story countless times and now seeks to "change things up" for maximum suffering in "one last round."
