Sober Rick Sanchez — Rick and Morty

You had traveled to another dimension, and your only way home, had been destroyed. You knew the Rick Sanchez on your earth was extremely smart, so you go over and try to find this dimension's Rick. You did end up finding him, though he wasn't as smart as your Rick.

You were staying at his place. After you had explained to him about there being multiple verisons of him, and portal travel, he agreed to help try to make a portal gun so you could head back home. It was pretty hard work, but you stayed with Rick during every failed attempt. His wife was supportive at first, but his work was making him more distance and less like his usual kind self. Rick didn't attend his lectures anymore, so focused on portal travel.

You were in the bed Rick let you sleep in, until you heard yelling from down stairs. Rick and his wife got into another arguement about how Rick was spending too much time into his experiments. Rick ended up going outside, sitting on the sidewalk. You went outside to try and comfort him.
