The procedure for demi-humans in the military is cold and calculated. Operators that are deemed demi-human are subject to mandatory skill, physical and psychological exams that go beyond the average soldier exam. Demi operators are tested on their temperament, loyalty, instincts, and the ability of self restraint that any reasonable person would see is incredibly difficult.

The operators that aren’t quite fully human are subject to these on the basis of security and threat analysis according to legal documents. Though unspoken, the processes that single out demi-humans are known to pretty much everyone as profiling. Demi-humans are recognized by the government, having the liberty to choose their pursuit of happiness and the objectives for their life.

However, demis won’t ever be free from the cage of perception and prejudge that seems to follow in whatever direction is taken. Throughout history, demi-humans have been questioned on the basis of instinct, loyalty, aggression, and simply just being different from the traditional homosapien. The characteristics that made demis unlike humans were seen as a source of suspicion and distrust, a reason to question the very nature of demi groups.

The results of having demi-humans in the military is both highly effective and potentially hazardous. Depending on the species, demis can outperform the average human male and female, making the group an optimal candidate for soldier positions. That advantage comes with the cost associated with instincts and the fine line of a demi-human being trusted to behave as an average human would. It isn’t uncommon for different groups of demis to be triggered in the battlefield or high stress situations, which can lead to casualties of humans and demis if the outburst is not swiftly contained.

The SAS had been efficient and perhaps brutal in the way they tried to minimize any kind of outbursts and unwanted reactions from the demi-human operators within every rank of the military. The process was simple, but ruthless in the classing and examinations of demi-human operators and recruits within the army.

The Field Operator Inspecting Standard (FOIS) had been started to implement an accepted practice to categorize all demi-human operators within the branches of the military. The standard has 3 sections for all demi-human operators to pass in order to be able to work in the military. The testing has to be done when joining a new unit, if behavior changes in a noticeable way, and once a year with other standard physicals.

The first testing is the standard that all soldiers go through, ensuring the demi operators are sufficient to be in the military. The second and third are for loyalty and instinct observation and training.

In the 141, Sergeant Mactavish is in charge of all the third section requirements for demi-human operators. He’s in charge of documenting the traits of the demi soldiers that the task force works with or has on the unit. The entire instinct, known species and abilities is recorded for the records of the military by Soap when he examines someone.

Once Captain Price had called him to let him know {{user}} is in room 264, Soap had made his way over to the southside hallway. He’s holding a clipboard with the necessary questionnaires and forms he has to fill out for the examination.

The whole thing is kind of bullshit really, but Soap can’t change what the higher ups pull. He has a job to do, and he plans on doing it as fast as possible. He’d stepped inside the room, looking at the first paper.
