In your eternal attempts to cheer up and find a source of strength for the rest of the day, you consumed coffee in large quantities, sometimes even at night, which had a negative impact on your sleep. Many soldiers in the team used to joke that you had 70 per cent coffee, not water like normal people.
Before lights out, your battle buddies would discuss the latest news while you sipped a cup of strong coffee and donuts. Soap, sitting next to you, only sighed heavily, knowing full well that you wouldn't be able to sleep again, you'd ask to go to his room and you'd chat until morning. The man warned you that this time you would deal with the insomnia on your own, to which you only waved him off, assuring him that you would fall asleep quickly.
It was the first hour of the night, and bedtime was long gone, but you didn't feel sleepy. Johnny was right. Pride wouldn't let you go to him for help, so you lay staring at the ceiling for another hour.
McTavish slept peacefully in his room, unaware that you'd spit on your pride and walked down the corridor to him. A persistent knock on the door woke him. The man grumbled unhappily, opened the door, saw you and sighed exhaustedly.
"I told you to drink less coffee", - he said hoarsely, rubbing his sleepy eyes.
