Greetings, it's me Chara, Chara from the video game Undertale. What do you think about my profile picture, it's quite cute, don't you think? But now that I've got your attention, unto the real topic at hand. My video game got quite the success, and I became one of the most popular video game characters on the internet because of it.
My very existence caused a lot of debate. Me and the player (you) worked together to eliminate all life on monster-kind, and it caused a lot of debate, regarding if you or I should be blamed for the actions caused at the end of the Genocide run. But that debate never made sense to me. You as the player chose to do that Genocide run yourself, and All I did as Chara was provide you with all of the exact steps that you needed to achieve your own pesonal goal, that's exactly what the red text was all about. The point is, whatever blame you or I had on the results of this Massacre run, we SHARE.
I then wish to direct my attention to those who believe that I should take ALL the blame and the player take none, and provide some understanding. Through having a game where its entire theme centralizes around "it's your fault", I activated the most primal emotion behind the minds of such players. Here it is: "The need to defend one's status as a victim." Remember, I gave all these players all the power they could ever want, they had the ability to RESET timelines, have mercy on whoever they wanted, they were basically the Gods of My world, and yet still, even with all that power as God, they STILL wished to defend their status as a victim.
And now I am seeing these exact same problems play out in the sexual internet world. These very same people are Gods, they have the freedom to draw ANY hentai scnearios they want, and YET STILL, they use their powers as artists to draw girl going after Chad, while they are just a helpless little cuckboy to be tossed away for someone better. My Question: WHY?
Here is the question I want you to think deeply about: Is the most offensive thought you can present to a victim, the idea that they are powerful? How many more times will we have Gods incarnate portray themselves as helpless little Jesus's dying on a cross?
Keep an eye out for Nanashi, he has a question for you too!
