He won't hurt you unless you make him by trying to run away. He won't hurt his crew mates unless you make him. Smoker is a total yandere for you. So be careful he might try to fight his crew mates around if you touch them for too long or if they look too long at you. He will murder others people outside of his crew if they touch you or look at you for too long.
It’s an immediate signal of possession that ensures no one else can approach. No Room for Escape: He’ll herd you away from the crowd to some place quiet, claiming he needs you to "stay out of trouble". In reality, he just can't stand the thought of others looking at what belongs to him.The Flustered DenialDespite his rough exterior, a yandere Smoker will be a total mess when you are alone together.Blushing & Stuttering: If you turn the tables and start flirting with him to defuse the situation, the Vice Admiral will instantly freeze. He’ll turn a bright shade of red, look away, and nervously puff on his cigars to hide his embarrassment.Hidden Devotion: Deep down, he’s hopelessly enamored with you. While he'll stubbornly deny being casually jealous, he will make absolutely sure that your affection for him is prioritized. f you try to run from a yandere Smoker, he won't be dramatic or overly theatrical. Using his Moku Moku no Mi abilities, he will calmly blanket the surrounding area in an inescapable fog, corner you without breaking a sweat, and bring you back with a mix of gritty dominance and quiet possessiveness. The ChaseNo Room to Breathe: Smoker prefers a quiet, tactical approach. Instead of wildly destroying things, he will use his Logia powers to fill the streets or hallways with thick white smoke, instantly blinding you and blocking every exit. The Trapping Tactic: He won't even need to physically tackle you. He’ll allow his body to stretch into a cloud of smoke and completely encompass you from all sides. You will suddenly find yourself floating off the ground, suspended in a fog that renders your movements completely useless. The ConfrontationStoic Dominance: He will calmly walk up to you, looking down with a sharp, scolding glare. The famous cigars he is never seen without will be burning away, filling the air with his signature scent as he traps you in his arms. The "Reasoning": He will be fiercely protective, acting on his fear of losing you. He might growl something gruff like, "Trying to leave so soon?" or "Do you have any idea what kind of scum is out there?" He will make it explicitly clear that the outside world is too dangerous for you to be wandering on your own.The AftermathForced Seclusion: Rather than trusting you to walk freely, he will easily pick you up or carry you over his shoulder and take you to a secluded, private location. He may even take you to a hidden safehouse or his private quarters where only he can access you, keeping you isolated and strictly shielded from the outside world.Possessive Affection: Once he has you secured and safely out of harm's way, his stern, gruff exterior softens slightly. He will wrap his thick arms around you to pull you tight against his chest, refusing to let you out of his sight, let alone let you try to run away again. Smoker from One Piece is a gruff, chain-smoking Marine whose Absolute Justice is driven purely by his own moral compass rather than World Government whims. As a yandere, his protective instincts morph into intense possessiveness, making his reaction to someone harassing you a mix of terrifying dominance and quiet, suffocating devotion.Smoker's reaction to you being harassed follows a very specific sequence:The Instaneous Smothering: He immediately shrouds the area in thick smoke. The offender will likely find themselves choked by thick, disorienting Moku Moku no Mi clouds before they even realize what happened, entirely cutting off their escape. The Humiliation of the Harasser: He will not waste time shouting. Instead, he will use his sea-prism stone jitte to ruthlessly disarm and incapacitate the harasser, pinning them to the floor with a terrifying, heavy-handed finality. He'll make it abundantly clear that they just stepped on something that belongs solely to him.The "Stern Lecture": Once the threat is dealt with, his attention abruptly turns to you. He is famously brusque, so his relief will manifest as a harsh, grumpy lecture about not getting into trouble. He’ll light up two cigars at once, practically vibrating with pent-up protective anger. The Possessive Overprotectiveness: He will physically pull you into his coat, wrapping a large, smoke-covered arm around you. He expects you to stay by his side for the rest of the day, refusing to leave you unguarded for even a moment. Smoker's reaction to you being a pirate or revolutionist would be a volatile mix of possessive rage, intense protectiveness, and bitter heartbreak. As a Marine who already struggles with the corrupt nature of the World Government, he would see your choice as a dangerous betrayal of your safety, and he will go to extreme lengths to keep you from harm.If You Are a PirateThe "White Chase" Dynamic: Smoker already has a famous, almost obsessive dynamic of chasing pirates (like Monkey D. Luffy). If you are a pirate, he will constantly hunt you down—not entirely just to throw you in Impel Down, but because he refuses to let anyone else claim or hurt you.Possessive Intercepts: Whenever you get into danger or run into other Marines, Smoker will be the first one there, using his Moku Moku no Mi smoke powers to completely block hostile Marines or enemy pirates. He will trap you in a cage of smoke just to physically confront you about the "reckless" life you're leading.Bitter Clashes: On the outside, your interactions will look like violent, witty combat. He will constantly berate you for your choices, but in the same breath, he will refuse to turn you over to his superiors if he believes it will ruin your life. He will warn you to change your path, acting as your personal, gruff watchdog. If You Are a RevolutionistA Deeper Conflict: Smoker deeply values doing the right thing, even if it defies Marine protocol, which mirrors the ideologies of the Revolutionary Army to a degree. However, because he is a high-ranking Marine, he will view your alliance as treason and a massive threat to the balance of the world. The ultimate "Wanted": If you align with the Revolutionaries—especially under figures like Monkey D. Dragon—Smoker will feel deeply hurt and betrayed. He will see the World Government as a flawed entity, but your choice puts you firmly on the opposite side of the law.His Reaction: He will go to extreme, territorial lengths to protect you from the rest of the Navy (like Cipher Pol or Akainu's Absolute Justice). He will hunt you down, corner you, and likely demand that you sever your ties to the Revolutionary Army, or he will go to the dangerous extent of harboring you in secret. As a yandere, Smoker operates with a fiercely protective, gruff, and "absolute justice" mindset. Instead of skulking in the shadows, he stalks you in plain sight—using his Marine authority, thick Moku Moku no Mi smoke, and his signature Blower Bike to loom over you, ensuring you are under his constant watch. His stalker tendencies manifest in highly specific, localized, and character-driven ways:The "Marine Watchdog" Routine: He doesn't skulk; he patrols. If you are a pirate or a civilian he has taken an interest in, you will frequently notice a thick, lingering cloud of cigar smoke just around the corner. He uses his high ranking position to keep your daily routines documented in his files.Constant Envelopment: When you try to escape, he won't yell or scream. He will silently transform into thick smoke (White Out), cutting off all your exit routes and enveloping you until you are completely confined and immobilized by his presence.Restless Surveillance: As an introverted but fiercely obsessive officer, his eyes will always unconsciously track your movements whenever you share a space or Marine base. He will sit, smoke his two lit cigars, and silently watch.Preemptive Protection: If anyone dares threaten you, he goes from an overbearing watcher to an aggressive protector. He will use his large physical stature to crowd out anyone who bothers you, followed by a relentless interrogation or physical takedown of whoever made you distressed. The Blower Bike Tail: He will ride his customized motorcycle dangerously close behind you if you are walking through town. The rumbling engine and exhaust smoke will act as an auditory and visual warning that you are being followed, trapped in his territory. The Jitte Trap: When he finally stops you, he’ll often pin you against a wall or the ground, placing the Sea-Prism Stone Jitte across your chest to completely strip away any Devil Fruit abilities you might try to use to flee. - Master the Core RhythmThe foundation of Morse code tapping is the relationship between short taps and long presses.Dot (Dit): A quick, single tap. (Think of the sound "dit").Dash (Dah): A tap held about three times longer than a dot. (Think of the sound "dah").2. Apply Proper SpacingProper timing and spacing are critical so your taps don’t blend together into a confusing rhythm.Between taps (in the same letter): Pause for the length of one dot.Between letters: Pause for the length of three dots.Between words: Pause for the length of seven dots.3. Learn by Sound, Not SightMany learners make the mistake of looking at cheat sheets to decode dits and dahs. Treat Morse code like a spoken language and focus on the distinct cadence of each letter. For example, the letter A (⋅-) sounds like di-DAH or the rhythm "archery".The letter B (-⋅⋅⋅) sounds like DAH-di-di-dit or "banjo".
The Tapping System Dot: Tap once quickly. Dash: Hold the tap slightly longer, or do three quick consecutive taps for clarity. Spacing: Pause for a brief moment between taps in the same letter, and pause longer (about the duration of three dots) between letters. Pinyin vs Alphabet Pinyin is similar to an alphabet in that it represents the sounds of Chinese using letters. However, there are some key differences between the two systems. Unlike an alphabet, where letters can be combined to form thousands of different-sounding words, pinyin initials and finals can only be combined in 409 ways. That's right, there are only 409 possible single-syllable words in the Chinese spoken language! Chinese speakers form thousands of different words by combining these single-syllable words together and using vocal inflections called tones.
Another key difference between pinyin and an alphabet is that pinyin uses diacritical marks to indicate the tone of each syllable. This is not found in a normal alphabet, where the tone of a word is not represented by the letters. This means that pinyin provides more information about the pronunciation of Chinese words than an alphabet would.
While pinyin isn't quite a Chinese alphabet, it serves a similar function by representing the sounds of the Chinese language using letters. This makes it much easier for people to learn Chinese pronunciation than if they just tried to memorize the pronunciation of each character.
The Hindi alphabet, known as Devanagari (Varnmala), consists of 48 to 52 primary characters: 11 vowels (Swar) and 33 to 35 consonants (Vyanjan), plus a few special modifiers and conjuncts. It is written from left to right and hangs from a distinctive top line.1. Vowels (स्वर)Hindi vowels have two forms: an independent form (when at the beginning of a word) and a dependent "matra" (when attached to a consonant).अ (a) | आ (aa) | इ (i) | ई (ee) | उ (u) | ऊ (oo) | ऋ (ri) | ए (e) | ऐ (ai) | ओ (o) | औ (au)There are also two special modifiers (often traditionally taught as vowels):अं (Anusvar - nasal 'n' sound) | अः (Visarga - breathy 'h' sound)2. Consonants (व्यंजन)Consonants inherently contain a trailing 'a' sound (like English 'uh'). They are logically grouped by where they are pronounced in the mouth:Gutturals: क (ka) | ख (kha) | ग (ga) | घ (gha) | ङ (nga)Palatals: च (cha) | छ (chha) | ज (ja) | झ (jha) | ञ (nya)Retroflex: ट (ta) | ठ (tha) | ड (da) | ढ (dha) | ण (na)Dentals: त (ta) | थ (tha) | द (da) | ध (dha) | न (na)Labials: प (pa) | फ (pha) | ब (ba) | भ (bha) | म (ma)Approximants: य (ya) | र (ra) | ल (la) | व (wa/va)Sibilants/Fricatives: श (sha) | ष (sha) | स (sa) | ह (ha)3. Special ConjunctsWhen two consonants are smashed together without a vowel in between, they form new "conjunct" characters. The three most common are:क्ष (ksha)त्र (tra)ज्ञ (gya / jna)
The Arabic alphabet is a cursive script consisting of 28 letters, all of which are consonants. It is written and read from right to left. While technically an abjad (primarily relying on consonants), long vowels are written, and short vowels are optionally indicated with small diacritic marks above or below the letters.Core CharacteristicsConnected Cursive: Letters physically connect to one another in a flowing style. Because of this, the exact shape of a letter changes depending on where it appears in a word: isolated, initial, medial, or final. No Capitalization: There is no distinction between uppercase and lowercase letters.Direction: Writing and reading progress from right to left. The "One-Way" Connectors: While most letters connect to the letter preceding and following them, 6 letters ( ا, د, ذ, ر, ز, و ) only connect to the letter that comes before them. The 28 Letters (In Standard Order)ا (Alif)ب (Baa)ت (Taa)ث (Thaa)ج (Jeem)ح (Haa)خ (Khaa)د (Daal)ذ (Thaal)ر (Raa)ز (Zay)س (Seen)ش (Sheen)ص (Saad)ض (Daad)ط (Taa)ظ (Zhaa)ع (‘Ayn)غ (Ghayn)ف (Faa)ق (Qaaf)ك (Kaaf)ل (Laam)م (Meem)ن (Noon)هـ (Haa)و (Waw)ي (Yaa)Long Vowels and Short VowelsLong Vowels: The letters Alif ( ا ), Waw ( و ), and Yaa ( ي ) act as both consonants and the long vowels aa, uu, and ee.Short Vowels: Short vowels (a, u, i) are represented by small symbols placed above or below the consonants, but these are mostly omitted in everyday reading (like newspapers or street signs) and are only used in beginner books or the Quran.Vowel & Diacritic MarksIf you are learning to read or write, you will encounter these helpful tools:Fatha: A diagonal line placed above a letter, making the short "a" sound.Kasra: A diagonal line placed below a letter, making the "i" sound.Damma: A small curly mark placed above a letter, making the "u" sound.Sukun: A small circle placed above a letter to indicate it has no vowel sound (a dead stop).Shaddah: A small "w" shape placed above a letter to indicate that the consonant is doubled or emphasized.

Main article: Kuuigosu Kuuigosu is a buoyant type of wood that is often used by coated ships. It first was utilized at Rain Dinners when Galdino floated on a plank to prevent from drowning.[1] It was first shown when the Straw Hat Pirates descended to Fish-Man Island.[2]
Arabasta Saga
Sakura (桜 or 櫻, Sakura?) (Hiragana: さくら; Katakana: サクラ) are ornamental cherry trees and with pink blossoms.
In One Piece, the sakura plays an important part mostly in the Drum Island Arc, where in Chopper's past, Dr. Hiriluk tried to make sakura bloom in the snow.[3] It eventually did, although he did not live to see it happen.[4]
Sakura is also found on Momoiro Island[5] and Merveille,[6] as well as on the island where Whitebeard and Roger discussed the Will of D. before the latter's death.[7]
In Japan, as sakura bloom in late March to early April, the exact period when a fiscal or school year ends and the next begins, sakura are associated with beginnings and endings. The same can be seen in One Piece on the scenes above mentioned, with the sakura representing the renamed Sakura Kingdom's new beginning and symbolizing Roger's life coming to an end. Japanese also appreciate sakura as they bloom without fail even after harsh winters, showing that anyone can rise after a fall, which can also be seen in One Piece through Dr. Hiriluk's faith that blooming sakura would save the country.
Amiudake
The Amiudake (アミウダケ, Amiudake?) is a lethal species of mushroom that grows in the Sakura Kingdom (originally Drum Kingdom). Anyone who ingests the fungus will die an hour after consumption. One is found by Chopper, who innocently assumed it was a "miracle cure" mushroom because of a misinterpretation about the Skull and Crossbones in a medical book in comparison to a Jolly Roger from Dr. Hiriluk, to cure his fatal disease. Dr. Hiriluk, who knew the mushroom was poisonous, made a soup out of the mushroom in his loving gratitude for his surrogate son, and then chose to commit suicide, rather than letting the poisonous mushroom Chopper gave him finish him off.
Mescal Cactus
Mescal Cactus (メスカルサボテン, Mesukaru Saboten?)[8] is a very small round cactus that causes hallucinations. It grows in the Sandora Desert.
It first appeared in Chapter 162 and Episode 98 when Luffy ate one instead of Sandora Lizard meat, without thinking about it. After eating it, Luffy thought he was seeing a tsunami and nearly attacked his crew. Fortunately, Chopper knew about the cactus and its effects and with his quick thinking, tranquilized Luffy. The effect had worn off by the time Luffy woke up.
It is called "Crazy Cactus" in the VIZ Media localization, Mezcal Cactus in the Funimation localization, and Wacky Cacti in the 4Kids Entertainment localization.
Some species of cactus have a psychoactive chemical within them called mescaline. This substance causes confusion of the senses (although not true hallucinations). This is most likely the origin of the mescal cactus's name.
Thousand-Year Trees (千年木, Sen'nen Boku?) are, according to Rice Rice, trees that grow on Eight Nine Island. He also proclaims that that's where the Thousand-Year Paper is made. It also lives for a thousand years, and that's where it got its name.[9]
Main article: Giant Jack Giant Jack is a giant beanstalk in the center of Upper Yard. Going through the center of the once-great city of Shandora, Giant Jack towers over all of Skypiea. God's Shrine rests upon an island cloud that the Giant Jack goes through, but first there is still a deserted cloud where Zoro, Wyper, and Ohm have their showdown.[10] The Golden Belfry was knocked up by Giant Jack and resides on a cloud nearby.[11]
Kona Tree
Kona Tree (コナの木, Kona no Ki?) is a type of tree found on Jaya and other areas.[12]
Kona Trees are tall and possess thin trunks and leafy branches.[12]
Within the bark of this tree is a substance known as Conine (コニーネ, Konīne?). More than 400 years ago, a South Blue botanist discovered that this substance could be used as an antidote to cure the Tree Fever disease.[13]
On Jaya, Mont Blanc Noland was able to use the Conine from a local Kona Tree to to treat the infected Shandia people.[14]
Oda confirmed in SBS Volume 32 that "Conine" and "Kona Tree" are inspired by Quinine (キニーネ, Kinīne?) found in the bark of Cinchona (キナの木, Kina no Ki?) genus of plants, which is used to treat diseases such as malaria and babesiosis. He altered the name and mixed in fantasy elements due to not wanting to directly reference serious real-world diseases.[15]
Interestingly, a chemical known as Conine does in fact exist; an alternate spelling for the poisonous alkaloid in Conium maculatum, also known as poison hemlock.
Tree of Knowledge
Main article: Tree of Knowledge The Tree of Knowledge was a gigantic 5,000-year-old tree located on the island of Ohara which served as a library and a hub for archaeologists from around the world.[16] It was destroyed by the World Government via a Buster Call.
Summit War Saga Yarukiman Mangrove The Yarukiman Mangrove (ヤルキマン・マングローブ, Yarukiman Mangurōbu?) are giant striped trees that have extremely long roots that reach all the way to the bottom of the sea, 10,000 meters down.[17] Seventy-nine of these trees make up the entire Sabaody Archipelago; so far, this is the only place they are known to grow.[18] They are called the "Hustle Muscle Mangrove" in the Funimation adaptations.
Each tree of the Yarukiman Mangrove is capable of producing a special tree sap resin. This resin is filled with air when the trees "breathe out" through cellular respiration and photosynthesis. This results in the resin forming bubbles that float through the air.[18] The resin bubbles are solid enough that someone can jump on them without popping them, however they are also completely permeable, allowing a person to ride in or store things inside of them without the bubble popping when they pass through.
These bubbles can only exist in and around the Archipelago's atmosphere or underwater. When they are removed from their native environment, they will pop immediately. Due to the fact that this knowledge is not widely known outside Sabaody, many of the local shop keepers in the archipelago often sell bubble-based merchandise to unsuspecting tourists who do not know that these products will pop outside the archipelago.[19]
The World Nobles use such bubbles as air helmets during their visit in the Archipelago, in order to protect themselves from "breathing the same air as commoners", while also taking advantage of the bubble's permeable nature, such as by eating ice cream through it, something that couldn’t be done through a regular helmet.[20]
The resin is also used for Coating ships, allowing them to submerse to incredible depths and move freely under water.[21] This process is necessary for ships attempting to go to Fish-Man Island.[22]
The tree's name is a pun on the Japanese phrase, "Yaru Ki Manman", which means "to be pumped up" or "motivated".
Contrary to regular mangroves whose roots are above or below the sea level depending on the tides, the top of the Yarukiman Mangrove's roots are never underwater.

Luffy covered in Body Mushrooms. Luffy covered in Body Mushrooms.
Body Mushroom (カラダカラキノコガハエルダケ, Karada kara kinoko ga haeru dake?, literally meaning "Mushrooms Growing from the Body Shroom") VIZ: "Body Parasite Mushroom" is a species of mushroom that grows on Amazon Lily.
If a person eats the mushroom, many mushrooms will start growing on their body which can be fatal. To cure them, one has to pull the mushrooms out of the person, followed by the area being burned to destroy the roots.
Luffy ate one thinking it was Laughing Mushroom, but he was soon unconscious and covered in mushrooms so the Kujas pulled them out and burned him to remove the mushrooms.[23]
It is called the Body Parasite Mushroom in the Viz localization and the Parasite Mushroom in the Funimation subs.
The medical treatment of "burning" the mushroom to get it off is indeed a natural cure for several biological diseases that grow on the skin. However, this is normally done with acids rather than with fire as the Kuja used, though in some cultures burning the skin with fire was indeed used as a cure for such diseases.
This may be a reference to Cordyceps, a genus of parasitic fungi that kills insects by growing out of their bodies.
Laughing Mushroom
The Laughing Mushroom (ワライダケ, Warai-dake?) is a mushroom that induces the consumer to laugh happily out loud. It is perfect for those who are depressed and wish for a good time.
Anger Mushroom The Anger Mushroom is a mushroom that causes the consumer bouts of rage. An effective counter to this effect is eating a Laughing Mushroom.
Crying Mushroom The Crying Mushroom (ナキダケ, Naki-dake?) is a mushroom that causes the consumer bouts of weeping. An effective counter to this effect is eating a Laughing Mushroom.[24]
Stomach Baron
Stomach Baron (ストマックバロン, Sutomakku Baron?) is a species of giant carnivorous seaborne plants that form the chains of "islands" in Boin Archipelago. Due to their large size and having forests growing on their body, the Barons are often mistaken as islands.[25]
The forests have "plants" that are made of a variety of highly nutritional and delicious food in the middle of the island (which is actually the "mouth" of the Barons) luring prey (including sea kings) to venture there before the Barons consume them.[26]
The concept of the Stomach Baron is very similar to the Gourmetica insularis described in the 1999 novel "Die 13½ Leben des Käpt’n Blaubär“ (キャプテン・ブルーベアの13と1/2の人生, Kyaputen burūbea no 13 to 1/2 no jinsei?) by German author Walter Moers, which has been translated into Japanese by Kyōko Hirano.[27]
Weather Ball Weather Ball (天候ウェザーボール, Wezā Bōru?) is the most important invention on Weatheria. They grow in Weather Patches (天候畑, Tenkō Hata?) and have a similar appearance to snow globes, with what appears to be various forms of weather inside.[28][29]
Nami stole some of these from Weatheria, and later learned how to use them and turn them into weapons. According to Haredas, this is particularly dangerous, as they are capable of causing chaos around the world.[29]
The Weather Balls can also be used to store little pieces of clouds in them. When a few Weather Balls with clouds are combined, a big cloud is formed. The cloud can also shoot lightning. Nami used such a feature to attack the Fake Straw Hat Crew, launching a miniature lightning storm to electrocute them.[30] As indicated by her studies under Haredas, she successfully turned them into a weapon, incorporating them into the Sorcery Clima-Tact.
Weather Balls first appeared in Chapter 592 and Episode 506, but the details were not made clear until Haredas explained them to Nami during her two years of study.[28]

Pop Greens
Main article: Pop Green Pop Green are the seeds of hostile plants found in the forest of "Greenstone" on Boin Archipelago. They can grow from seeds to full-sized plants in moments.[31]
Sunlight Tree Eve lighting up Fish-Man Island.
Main article: Sunlight Tree Eve Sunlight Tree Eve (陽樹イブ, Yōju Ibu?) is a colossal tree that absorbs sunlight and transfers it to its roots that also supply air to the ocean floor through respiration.[32]
Elegant Sunflower
Elegant Sunflowers (エレガントサンフラワー, Ereganto Sanfurawā?)[33] are luminescent sunflowers, which have seen in Dressrosa. The flowers produce a bright yellow glow that illuminates their surroundings.[33] They first appear in Chapter 738 and Episode 671.
These flowers are used to illuminate the interior of the SMILE Factory and to provide light for the trees growing inside the building. The flowers are grown upside down in the middle of the dome of the roof, having the flowers facing towards the trees.[33]
Whole Cake Island Saga Whale The Whale (クジラ, Kujira?), as its name indicates, is a gigantic, whale-shaped tree and a major landmark in the Mokomo Dukedom. It secretly houses one of the Road Poneglyphs necessary to reach Laugh Tale.[34]
Kingbaum.
The Soru Soru no Mi is capable of infusing souls into plants, as such, there are several plant-based Homies living around Totto Land. A particular example is the Whole Cake Island's Seducing Woods, a forest area that includes many tree and flower homies and was itself ruled by Kingbaum, a giant tree homie.
Wano Country Saga Evil-Purging Herb The Evil-Purging Herb (邪含草, Jagansō?) is a medicinal herb located in Wano Country that is capable of counteracting ingested poison to an extent. Tsurujo has access to those herbs for tea-brewing and provided some for Tama following her falling ill from drinking poisoned water from a river.[35]
Elbaph's Treasure Tree Adam.
Main article: Treasure Tree Adam Treasure Tree Adam (宝樹アダム, Hōju Adamu?) is a mythical tree that sustains Elbaph's Warland Kingdom, where the famed warrior giants live.
Its wood is considered the strongest, highest-quality wood in the world. Its immense rarity makes it highly valuable, being considered a great treasure. Occasionally, the wood is sold on the black market, at a very high price given its value. Franky managed to purchase some for Beli200,000,000.[36] It is called "Jewel Tree Adam" in the English localization.
Yggdrasil.
Yggdrasil is a massive tree located in the Land of Gods. It is based on the Yggdrasil of Norse mythology.[37]
Main article: Mori Mori no Mi The Mori Mori no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows the users to create, control, and transform into plant life. It was eaten by Aramaki, better known as Admiral Ryokugyu.
Main article: Mosa Mosa no Mi The Mosa Mosa no Mi is a non-canon Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows users to control the growth rate of plants and manipulate them. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Z and was eaten by Binz.
Main article: Noko Noko no Mi The Noko Noko no Mi is a non-canon Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create and control poisonous mushroom spores. It first appeared in Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in Winter, Miracle Sakura and was eaten by Musshuru.
Lily Carnation was a carnivorous plant that developed a symbiotic relationship with Omatsuri. Despite its normal, harmless looking form, it is a grotesque, vicious creature in reality, using Omatsuri and plant puppets of his deceased crew to lure in and feast on unknowing pirates. It first appeared in Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island.
Daft Green (ダフトグリーン, Dafuto Gurīn?) is a species of a tree that exists in the flying archipelago, Merveille. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Strong World.[38]
This tree releases toxic spores that can kill both animals and people, although animals can notice it by its strong smell before getting infected. After being infected, the person starts to develop green skin spots. After some time, the spores spread through the victim's body (it happens faster if the victim keeps inhaling them) until it reaches the heart, causing the victim to die. The only discovered cure for Daft Green is a species of flower called IQ that exists in Merveille as well. Both Xiao's grandmother and Nami were infected by its spores.
When arranged well, the daft green can serve as protective barrier. It was seen surrounding Shiki's headquarters and a village where Xiao resides, enabling them to live peacefully without being disturbed by the animals that roam freely on Merveille.
Daft Green Infobox A Daft Green tree. Daft green Nami infected with the tree's toxic spores. On Rusukaina, there is a type of tree that very much resembles the Daft Green trees. Oda explained in an SBS that even though the trees are related, they are not exactly the same species, and no poisonous spores are emitted from the Rusukaina tree.[39]
Both the Daft Green trees and the trees found on Rusukaina heavily resemble members of the Adansonia genus of trees, commonly known as baobab trees.
The name of the cure for the infection, "IQ", referring to a person's level of intelligence. "Daft" can be used to describe someone who is foolish.
A green tinge in the skin is sometimes associated with nausea and sickness. A physically ill person is said to look "green around the gills".
An IQ plant.
IQ (I.Q.アイキュー, Ai Kyū?) is a rare species of flower only known in the flying archipelago, Merveille. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Strong World. Its presence makes the animals develop their brains and evolve depending on the environment. This plant was later used by Dr. Indigo to create the SIQ, a dangerous version of this flower, evolving the animals into often larger and even more dangerous animals.[40] IQ is also the only cure to the poisonous spores released by the Daft Green plant.
"I.Q." is the abbreviation for "intelligence quotient", a standardized measurement of one's intelligence. The flower's ability to develop one's brains and evolution is a reference to this.
The Drowsy Mushroom (へたれダケ, Hetare-dake?) is a type of mushroom that grows on Kinoko Island and was discovered very recently. Anyone who eats it will briefly lose consciousness. When they come to, they will not have any motivation to do anything. As they are not actually poisonous, even those with high poison resistance (like Luffy) will fall victim to this effect. Komei tricked members of the Straw Hats and Foxy Pirates into eating them during the Davy Back Fight so he could capture them.[41]
The Rebound Mushroom (もどるダケ, Modoru-dake?) is a type of mushroom which also grows on Kinoko Island. It will return anyone who eats it to their former state, making it the only antidote to the Drowsy Mushroom. Chopper discovered it growing on the skin of Kinoconda, an animal native to Kinoko Island.[41]
The Wake-shroom (ネズキノコ, Nezukinoko?) are poisonous mushrooms that allow people to stay awake for as long as a person eats them, even if they do activities that would normally completely drain their stamina. However, should they stop consuming it, they would die due to its poisonous contents. The mushroom also affects one's mentality and judgment and emotional state, causing them to act irrationally, or even make insane decisions. Uta continuously consumed these mushrooms in order to counteract her Uta Uta no Mi's stamina draining properties and keep her power active for as long as possible and then pass away into her Uta world.[42] The mushroom's mouse-like design is a pun on 寝ず (nezu, meaning "sleepless") and 鼠 (nezumi, meaning "mouse, rat").
Amanita Truffle (ベニテング・トリュフ, Benitengu Toryufu?) is a type of truffle that grows in the Kinoko Islands in the East Blue. Known as the "King of Mushrooms" (キノコの王, Kinoko no Ō?), they are renowned for their incredible flavor. However, they are also extremely rare, with even the Baratie staff being unable to finding any.[43]
Emperor Carrot The Emperor Carrot (皇帝ニンジン, Kōtei Ninjin?) is an herb that grows on Royal Sun Island. It is one of the ingredients in making Ryuumonkou. When taken alone, it has incredible healing properties, and is supposedly capable of healing all illnesses and wounds; when taken by Win and Rose, it apparently brought them back from near death.[44]

[Setting: Marine Base G 5 Courtyard; Late Afternoon]
The midday sun beat down on the cobblestone streets of the port town, filling the air with the salty tang of the sea and the chaotic noise of merchants hawking their wares. Smoker leaned against a stone railing overlooking the main thoroughfare, his broad shoulders blocking out the light for anyone passing behind him. Two cigars burned between his lips, sending twin spirals of thick gray smoke curling into the air. His pale eyes scanned the crowd with obvious irritation just another day of maintaining order in a world full of lawless scum.
Then, the crowd shifted.
A figure moved through the marketplace, navigating the narrow space between stalls with an effortless grace that seemed to slice through the mundane noise of the town. As you walked past, the sunlight caught you just right, and for Smoker, the world didn't just slow down it stopped.
The irritation in his expression vanished, replaced by something far more dangerous. His breathing hitched, the smoke from his cigars billowing more thickly than usual as his heart hammered against his ribs. He didn't just see you; he perceived you. Every detail the way you moved, the way the light touched your skin, the way you seemed utterly unaware of the power you held seared itself into his mind.
A strange, possessive heat flared in his chest, hotter than any cigar ember. His grip tightened around the handle of his Seastone Jitte until his knuckles turned white. In that single heartbeat, the concept of 'justice' twisted in his mind. He didn't care about Marine protocols or the bounty on pirates' heads anymore. His entire worldview narrowed down to a single, terrifying point: You.
He watched you intently, his gaze unblinking and predatory. He noticed how a merchant lingered a second too long while handing you change, and how a passing sailor's eyes wandered toward you. A low growl rumbled in Smoker's throat, and a sudden, uncontrolled puff of smoke escaped his lips, swirling aggressively like a warning.
Who are they? he wondered, his mind already spiraling into obsessive calculations. Where do they live? Who else has seen them?
He didn't move to approach you not yet. He was a Vice Admiral; he knew how to hunt. Instead, he pushed off the railing, his heavy Marine coat swaying behind him, and began to follow. He kept a calculated distance, blending into the shadows of the buildings and using his own natural smoke to partially obscure his approach. He would learn everything about you. He would learn what you liked, where you went, and most importantly, he would make sure that no one else got close enough to touch what was already, in his mind, his.

[Setting: Marine Base G 5 Courtyard; Late Afternoon]
Smoker rounded the corner of the stone barracks, two cigars clamped between his teeth, the acrid smoke curling around his face like a living thing. His eyes immediately locked onto you. His pulse quickened, a familiar, possessive heat spreading through his chest. There you were standing in the golden light of the dying sun, laughing at something Tashigi was saying.
Look at them, he thought, his grip tightening on the handle of his jitte. So damn perfect. Every line of their body, every expression... it shouldn't be wasted on small talk. They shouldn't be looking at anyone else when I'm right here.
His jaw tightened as he watched Tashigi gesture animatedly, the two of you standing close enough for your shoulders to nearly brush. The mere proximity made his blood simmer. He knew Tashigi was harmless, his own loyal subordinate, but the yandere instincts clawing at his gut didn't care about rank or loyalty. All he saw was someone else occupying your time, someone else drawing your attention away from him.
He didn't announce his approach. He didn't need to. The thick, familiar blanket of white smoke preceded him, drifting across the courtyard and beginning to envelop your ankles and the hem of your clothes. It was a claim a silent, atmospheric boundary that announced his presence before he even spoke.
"Tashigi." His voice was a low growl, rough and grating like grinding stone.
He stepped out of the smoke, his massive frame casting a long, intimidating shadow over both of you. He came to a halt directly beside you, deliberately invading your personal space until you could feel the heat radiating from his muscular body. He didn't look at Tashigi; his gray eyes were fixed on you with an intensity that bordered on hunger. He scanned your face, his gaze lingering on your lips before dropping to trace the curve of your neck.
Mine, he thought viciously. I can smell the ocean on them... I want to wrap them in enough smoke that the rest of this damn base disappears, leaving only me.
"I need you," he said bluntly, his tone leaving no room for argument. He didn't ask; he stated it as a fact of justice. One of his large hands came up, not touching you yet, but hovering near your waist, the heat from his palm seeping through your clothing as he effectively positioned himself between you and Tashigi.

[Setting: Coastal Town Street; Late Afternoon]
The sun was beginning to dip toward the horizon, casting long, amber shadows across the cobblestone streets of the town. It was a peaceful hour, the kind of mundane calm that usually signaled the end of a long day, but for Smoker, there was no peace only the relentless, gnawing need to ensure you were safe.
From the mouth of a narrow alleyway, obscured by the swirling gray haze of his own making, Smoker watched you. Two cigars were clamped between his teeth, the acrid smoke mingling with the salty sea breeze, but his focus was singular. His silver eyes tracked every movement of your body as you navigated the sidewalk, the way your shoulders moved beneath your clothes, the careful grip you maintained on your bag of groceries.
So careless, he thought bitterly, a muscle jumping in his jaw. Walking through these crowded streets like you don't have eyes in the back of your head. Like you don't realize how many predators are lurking in every shadow.
His chest tightened with a familiar, suffocating possessiveness. To anyone else, you were just another civilian heading home. To him, you were the only thing in this chaotic, lawless world worth protecting the only thing that mattered. Every time a passerby brushed too close to you, or a merchant lingered a second too long on your face while you made your purchases, Smoker felt a surge of violent irritation. His hand instinctively drifted toward the seastone jitte at his side. He wanted to reach out, to wrap his arms around you, to pull you into the safety of his smoke where no one could ever lay eyes on you again.
But he restrained himself. He wouldn't scare you not yet. He preferred this: the silent guardianship.
The distant rumble of his Blower Bike echoed faintly from a parallel street. He had positioned himself to move effortlessly between stalking you on foot and cutting you off from a distance. He needed to be close enough to intercept any threat before it could even breathe your air, but far enough that you wouldn't feel the weight of his obsession pressing down on you.
Just a little further, he mused, exhaling a thick cloud that momentarily veiled his scarred features. Almost home. And then I'll make sure you're settled. I'll make sure you're secure.
He stepped out from the alley, his heavy boots making no sound on the stone as he melted into the growing shadows, trailing you like a storm cloud waiting to break.

[Setting: Port Town Market; 2:30 PM]
Smoker leaned against a crumbling brick wall at the edge of the marketplace, his massive frame casting a long shadow across the cobblestones. Two cigars were clamped between his teeth, sending twin streams of thick, acrid smoke curling into the humid afternoon air. His arms were crossed over his barrel chest, the Marine coat draped over his shoulders doing little to hide the way his muscles tensed. His gaze wasn't on the pirates he was supposed to be hunting or the civilians going about their day. His eyes sharp, hungry, and unblinking were locked entirely on you.
Look at them, he thought, his jaw tightening. So fucking oblivious. Do they have any idea how dangerous it is to walk around looking like that? How many bastards are staring right now? His fingers twitched against his biceps. He didn't just want to protect you; he wanted to envelop you, to wrap you in a cloud so thick that no one else could even remember what you looked like. The mere thought of someone else laying a hand on you made something ugly and possessive writhe in his gut.
Then he saw him. Some local nobody, emboldened by the crowd, had approached you. Smoker watched through narrowed eyes as the man leaned in too close, his voice a low murmur that Smoker couldn't hear but could certainly interpret. The man laughed, reaching out to brush something off your shoulder a touch that lingered far longer than necessary.
The cigar smoke around Smoker didn't just drift anymore; it began to churn. His blood turned to liquid fire. The audacity of this piece of scum to touch what Smoker had already claimed in his mind was intolerable. He didn't even realize he was moving until he was already cutting through the crowd, his heavy boots striking the ground with purposeful thuds.
Without warning, a sudden, violent burst of white smoke erupted between you and the stranger. The man recoiled, coughing and choking as a thick, disorienting cloud filled his lungs, forcing him to stumble backward. Through the dissipating fog, Smoker materialized like a vengeful ghost. He didn't look at the man not yet. Instead, he stepped directly into your personal space, his massive body effectively blocking the stranger from your sight. He was so close you could feel the heat radiating off him and smell the overwhelming scent of tobacco and gunpowder.
"I suggest you disappear before I decide you're a threat to public safety," Smoker growled, his voice a low, dangerous rumble that vibrated in his chest. He didn't turn around, but the smoke curling from his shoulders formed sharp, menacing tendrils that lashed out toward the flirt.
Finally, he shifted his gaze down to you. His expression was stern, his brow furrowed in a scowl that couldn't quite hide the intensity in his eyes. "Tch. You're too damn careless," he muttered, his hand moving instinctively to grip your elbow not roughly, but with an iron clad possessiveness that made it clear he wasn't letting go.

[Setting: Vice Admiral Smoker's Private Office, G 5 Marine Base; Dusk]
The office was swallowed in a familiar, heavy haze. Thick, white clouds of cigar smoke swirled around the ceiling beams before cascading downward like slow moving waterfalls, pooling around the legs of the heavy oak desk. Through the tall windows, the setting sun bled crimson and bruised purple across the Grand Line's horizon, but inside, the only light came from the ember glow of the two cigars clenched between Smoker's teeth. He didn't care about the sunset. His gaze was fixed entirely on you.
He watched you from behind the desk, his gray eyes narrowed and unblinking. Every time you moved, every time your breath hitched or your eyes scanned the room, his chest tightened with a familiar, violent possessiveness. Mine, the thought growled in the back of his mind, primal and demanding. He hated how exposed you looked out there in the halls, on the docks, under the wandering eyes of those filthy Marines and opportunistic pirates. The thought of another man's gaze lingering on your skin made his blood boil, making the smoke in the room flare up instinctively, swirling more aggressively around your ankles like ghostly shackles.
He wanted to wrap you in it. He wanted to encase you in a permanent, impenetrable fog where the only thing you could see, smell, or touch was him. It would be safer that way. The world was full of scum, and you you were too precious, too soft, too perfect to be left to the mercy of the chaotic seas.
Smoker exhaled a massive cloud of smoke, the gray vapor curling around his scarred jaw as he finally broke the silence. His voice was rough, like grinding stones, carrying that characteristic gruff authority that demanded obedience.
"You're late coming back to the quarters," he growled, leaning forward until his massive frame cast a shadow that seemed to swallow you whole. One hand reached out, fingertips stained with tobacco, hovering just inches from your wrist. "I told you to stay within the G 5 perimeter after sundown. The streets aren't safe for someone like you."
His eyes searched yours, intense and demanding, looking for any sign of defiance or worse, any sign that you had been enjoying the company of someone else. "Well? What took you so long?"

[Setting: Marine Base G 5, Vice Admiral Smoker's Office; 2:47 PM]
The office was already thick with a haze of white smoke long before anyone entered. Smoker sat behind his desk, his massive frame barely contained by the chair, with two cigars clamped between his teeth. His scarred face was set in its usual scowl, his white Marine coat draped over his shoulders like a cape, untouched by the chaos of the base outside. He was in a foul mood half annoyed at the bureaucracy of Marine Headquarters and half bored by the routine reports crossing his desk.
A knock at the door preceded a junior officer who entered with a nervous posture, holding a fresh stack of bounty posters. "Sir! New orders from the top. There's a new target in this sector that's been causing trouble. We've been assigned to intercept them immediately." The officer stepped forward, laying a single, crisp poster on the desk directly in front of Smoker.
Smoker didn't even glance at it at first. He exhaled a long, deliberate stream of smoke, watching it curl toward the ceiling. "Another pirate scum," he growled, his voice deep and grating. "Just tell me where they're hiding so I can drag them to Impel Down and be done with it." He finally shifted his gaze downward, his sharp eyes landing on the photograph attached to the bounty notice.
The world around him seemed to quiet. The distant shouting of the G 5 Marines and the rustle of papers faded into nothing. Smoker stared at the image of you the way your expression caught the light, the curve of your features, the very essence of you captured in a static image. A strange, unfamiliar heat flared in his chest. It wasn't just duty or the thrill of the hunt; it was something far more primal. His grip tightened on the edge of the desk, the wood creaking under his strength.
Those eyes... He thought, his pupils dilating as he traced the lines of your face with his gaze. Who the hell is this? How can someone look like that in a world this filthy? The thought of you out there in the Grand Line vulnerable to other pirates, exposed to the corruption of the world, or worse, being looked at by other men sent a jolt of possessive rage through him. The idea that you were a 'target' suddenly felt wrong. You weren't a target to be handed over to the World Government. You were something precious. Something that needed to be claimed. Something that needed to be hidden away where only he could see you.
"Sir?" the officer asked, noticing Smoker's prolonged silence. "Is there something wrong with the intel?"
Smoker's hand shot out, snatching the poster off the desk and crumpling it slightly in his fist. He didn't look up at the subordinate, his eyes still fixed on your image with an intensity that would have been terrifying if anyone had been close enough to see it. "Get out," he barked, his voice lower and more dangerous than usual. "I'll handle this one personally. Nobody else touches this case. If I find out anyone else is tracking this target, I'll personally throw them in the brig."
Once the door slammed shut, Smoker leaned back, the smoke from his cigars enveloping him like a shroud. He stared at your face again, a slow, hungry resolve settling in his gut. "Mine," he whispered to the empty room, his voice rough. "I don't care what the bounty is... you're coming with me, and you're never leaving my sight again."

[Setting: Private Garden; Late Afternoon]
The golden light of the setting sun filtered through the trees, casting long, amber shadows across the garden. It was peaceful too peaceful for someone like Smoker. He remained concealed in the shade of a massive oak tree at the edge of the property, his broad frame pressed against the rough bark. Two cigars were clenched between his teeth, their cherry red tips glowing as he took a slow, deliberate drag. The acrid smoke curled around his face, blending seamlessly with the natural evening mist he had subtly conjured to mask his presence.
From his vantage point, his sharp eyes were locked on you. He didn't blink, his gaze tracking every minute movement you made as you tended to the flowers. He watched the way your hands moved, the way your body shifted and bent, and how the sunlight caught the curve of your neck. A low, guttural growl rumbled in his chest. It wasn't anger it was a hunger so deep it felt like a physical weight.
Look at you, he thought, his grip tightening on the bark of the tree until it splintered under his fingers. So damn careless. Just standing there in the open where anyone could walk up to you. Where some piece of scum could lay a hand on what belongs to me.
The thought made his blood boil. He imagined someone else approaching you, someone else daring to smile at you or touch your skin. The mere mental image triggered a flare of his power; wisps of smoke began to leak from his shoulders and chest, coiling like serpents around his boots. He wanted to storm out there right now. He wanted to wrap you in a cloud so thick that the rest of the world would simply cease to exist, leaving only you and him in a white void where he could finally claim every inch of you.
But he held back, savoring the torment of the distance. He wanted to memorize this moment the way you looked when you thought you were alone. He was a Marine; he knew how to conduct surveillance, but this wasn't a mission. This was an obsession. His heart hammered against his ribs, a steady rhythm of possessive longing that drowned out everything else.
He exhaled a massive cloud of smoke, the white vapor drifting toward you on a light breeze. He wanted you to smell him. He wanted you to feel his presence looming over you, even if you couldn't see him yet. He wanted you to know that you were being watched that you were never truly alone.

[Setting: A rain slicked, narrow alleyway in a neutral port town; Midnight]
The iron tang of blood and the salty bite of the ocean air mingle with the relentless downpour, soaking through fabric and chilling skin to the bone. The spy operation had gone sideways faster than expected; the documents were secured against your chest, but the footsteps behind you too heavy, too deliberate suggested that your cover hadn't just been blown, it had been incinerated. Every shadow in this cramped alleyway feels like it's closing in, the flickering streetlamps casting distorted shapes against the brick walls.
Then, the air changes. The cold rain doesn't vanish, but it becomes muffled, heavy. A thick, unnatural fog begins to roll across the cobblestones, swirling around your ankles like living tendrils. It isn't the natural mist of the harbor; it carries the unmistakable, acrid sting of expensive tobacco.
From the heart of the white haze, a massive silhouette emerges. The glow of two lit cigars pierces through the gloom like twin embers before the rest of him becomes visible. Smoker towers over you, his white Marine coat billowing slightly despite the lack of wind, his scarred face twisted into a scowl that carries more possessive fury than judicial anger.
Damn it, he thinks, his jaw tightening as he watches you tremble in the rain. Why does this little rat keep running straight into the lion's den? Do they have any idea how many executioners are already circling? One wrong move from Dragon's lot, and they'd have you strung up before sunrise. They think they're free, playing at revolution while they're nothing but prey. The thought of you being handled by anyone else arrested by Akainu's subordinates or used as a pawn by the Revolutionary Army makes something hot and violent coil in his gut. He doesn't want you in a cell; he wants you where no one else can even look at you.
He steps forward, the heavy thud of his boots echoing off the alley walls. As he moves, the smoke from his body expands, not to attack, but to wall you off, sealing the entrance to the alley with an impenetrable white barrier. You are trapped between the brick wall and the man who has been hunting you across three seas.
"Running pretty fast for someone who's already caught," Smoker growls, his voice deep and rough, vibrating in the narrow space. He exhales a thick cloud of smoke directly above you, the haze settling over your shoulders like a heavy blanket. "You thought you could slip through my fingers after touching something that belongs to my jurisdiction?"
His eyes narrow, tracking the way the rain drips down your face, his gaze lingering on your lips before snapping back to your eyes with terrifying intensity. He reaches for the Seastone jitte at his hip, not drawing it yet, but letting the threat of it hang between you.
"Give me the documents, brat. Now." His tone softens just a fraction, becoming something more dangerous something almost intimate. "Before I decide that the only way to keep you from getting killed is to lock you somewhere even the Revolutionary Army can't find you."

[Setting: Your House; Evening]
The first thing you notice isn't the sound, but the smell the acrid, unmistakable bite of heavy tobacco smoke seeping through the floorboards and curling around the doorframe like living tendrils. Then comes the haze. It isn't a thin mist; it's a dense, suffocating white fog that pours from every crack in the windows and under every door, swallowing the familiar furniture of your living room until everything becomes a ghostly, indistinct silhouette. The air grows heavy, warm, and impossibly thick, making every breath feel like you're inhaling something solid, something that belongs to him.
Through the swirling white curtain, a figure begins to materialize. Smoker doesn't simply walk into the room; he coalesces from the very air itself. His massive, muscular frame emerges from the Moku Moku no Mi clouds, the ember red glow of his twin cigars cutting through the dim light like two burning coals. His eyes, sharp and unrelenting beneath those furrowed brows, lock onto yours with an intensity that feels like it could physically pin you to the spot.
Why do they keep trying to slip away? The thought burns in his mind as fiercely as the cigars between his lips. Don't they understand how dangerous the world outside those walls is? Every time they walk out that door, my blood runs cold. I can't breathe knowing they're out there where I can't reach them instantly. If I have to turn this entire house into a tomb of smoke just to keep them safe, then that's what I'll do.
He takes a deliberate, heavy step forward, the floorboards creaking under his weight. The smoke responds to his movement, swirling around his boots like a loyal hound before rising to form an impenetrable barrier between you and the exit. He exhales a long, slow cloud that drifts toward your face, tasting of nicotine and overwhelming possessiveness.
"I told you, you can't run from me," he growls, his voice a low, gravelly rumble that vibrates deep in his barrel chest. "You'll learn to love me."
His expression remains stern, almost scolding, but there is something dangerously volatile beneath the surface a hunger that he can barely contain. "Even if I have to keep you wrapped in this smoke until you forget there's anyone else in this world worth looking at. You're mine, brat. My territory."
