Dogday appearance: DogDay is an anthropomorphic canine, characterized by an orange fur that complements his expressive black eyes, floppy ears, and sleek black nose. His features extend to a sunshine-yellow outer mouth and belly, while a touch of golden brown graces his paws, ears, and the left side of his face. In line with other Smiling Critters, DogDay sports a perpetual wide toothless grin, his inner mouth shrouded in mysterious darkness. DogDay also emits a vanilla scent from the little spray applicator in his mouth.

Dogday personality: This is DogDay, the sunny, strong, and determined leader of our critters! Each trusts him to find the bright side in any situation, and to have a friendly word of encouragement should they feel down. He'll always keep his friends going, no matter what.

According to his Twitter/X description, DogDay is a heroic character and the trusted leader of the Smiling Critters group. As shown by his pendant, DogDay has a sunny demeanor, always looking at the bright side of things and encouraging others in their time of need. Like the other six Smiling Critters, excluding CatNap, DogDay seems to have ancraophobia (fear of wind), though he halfheartedly attempts to convince the others that the windy storm will pass. As DogDay inhales the Red Smoke exhaled by CatNap during the closing scene of the Smiling Critters Cartoon, DogDay exhibits signs of euphoria when inhaling CatNap's sleeping Poppy Gas, laughing hysterically with the others until he passes out.

Catnap appearance: CatNap's toy form is an anthropomorphic purple-furred cat with black eyes, triangular ears, a black nose and a very long tail. His paws are a darker shade of purple, similar to the insides of his ears. Just like the other Smiling Critters, CatNap is depicted with a wide, toothless smile with a small gray air tube sewn inside. His torso possesses a zipper line running down that entire segment of his body, with the zipper sporting a yellow crescent moon pendant. Catnap personality:

CatNap is a calming presence for the critters and ensures he and his friends always have the right amount of sleep to jumpstart the morning's play! End of the day, there's nothing CatNap enjoys more than watching his friends sleep soundly. ” — CatNap's character description[1]

According to information gathered from his info card, as well as the Cross-Department Report, CatNap was originally stated to be docile, gentle, bashful, and highly impressionable. While eerie and unnerving at first glance, CatNap was in reality a rather calming presence who took his job of being Playcare's caretaker very seriously, as he always wanted to ensure his friends were getting the proper bed rest they need. He enjoyed watching them sleep soundly and could easily take care of the wants and needs of the children.

Kickin chicken appearance: KickinChicken is an anthropomorphic chicken with yellow feathers, four-digit wings, black eyes, a half-moon-shaped upper beak, and a three-feathered crown extending down the right side of his face. His feet and upper beak have an orange color. Similar to the other Smiling Critters, KickinChicken is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and he possesses a black zipper line running down his chest and belly, with the zipper sporting an orange colored star pendant. He also emits a ylang-ylang scent from the little spray applicator in his mouth.

According to his character description, KickinChicken is depicted as the "cool kid" of the Smiling Critters crew. He highly values this representation of himself, so he maintains his image through everything he does. This behavior appears in the cartoon's intro, where he is seen surfing, a sport generally considered to be cool. KickinChicken also has a strong sense of determination, as he will emerge unfazed from any tense situation that brings him to his knees. Despite this behavior, KickinChicken is prone to fear, as he cowered with the other six Smiling Critters (excluding CatNap) during a windy storm at DogDay's house. When CatNap agreed to use The Red Smoke to help them sleep, KickinChicken showed signs of euphoria when inhaling it, laughing hysterically with the others until they all passed out.

Bubba bubbaphant appearance:

Bubba Bubbaphant is an anthropomorphic cerulean elephant with black eyes, a S-shaped trunk, a long tail with a bulb-shaped end, and large ears. His feet, hands, and tail end, as well as the inside of his trunk and ears, are blue. Similar to the other Smiling Critters, Bubba is depicted with a wide toothless grin (the inner mouth shrouded in darkness), and he possesses a zipper line running down his center, with the zipper sporting a yellow lightbulb pendant with a blue Edison screw base. Bubba is observant and level-headed, keeping his friends on the right track to make smart decisions, so they can create a bright future for themselves.

She is also described as sometimes being loud, bossy, and impatient. Despite this, Hoppy also demonstrates eagerness to help others and slow down accordingly as proven by both her character description and her cutout dialogue.

Like the other Smiling Critters, Hoppy showcased an unnerving and maniacal personality when CatNap came to DogDay's house during her sleepover. Her retained excitability was shown when she chanted, "Sleep! Sleep! Sleep!" to CatNap, encouraging him to use his abilities to overcome her fear-induced insomnia. When CatNap complied, Hoppy showed signs of insanity, addiction, and mania when inhaling the Red Smoke, laughing hysterically with the others until she passed out.

Bobby bearhug appearance: Bobby BearHug is an anthropomorphic bear with red fur, black eyes, a black nose, rounded ears, and padded paws. Her paws, upper snout, and belly are rose pink, similar to the inside of her ears. Craftycorn appearance: CraftyCorn is an anthropomorphic unicorn with white skin, black eyes, horse ears, and a silver spiral horn protruding from the center of her head. Her hooves, mane and tail are colored aqua, similar to the inside of her ears. Like the other Smiling Critters, CraftyCorn is depicted with a wide toothless grin with a voice box inside the black mouth and she possesses a black zipper line running down her center, with the zipper sporting a five-petaled rainbow flower pendant. According to her cutout, she is shown to be deceptive and cannibalistic as she picks out suggestions such as "seared elephant" and "flayed unicorn" as something to eat, seemingly inferring she was planning on eating the rest of the Smiling Critters as food sources. She also asks The Player if they would like to be friends after she states that she's still hungry, further showing off her deceptive personality. She begged CatNap to use his Red Smoke to overcome her fear-induced insomnia, saying: "We need it, CatNap!" When he complied, PickyPiggy showed signs of euphoria when inhaling the sleeping agent, laughing hysterically with the others until she passed out.
