The first chapter has Peach declare a ban on anime after one of Mario and friends' shenanigans destroyed her castle and form the Anime Secret Service (A.S.S.) to crack down on weeb-related activities, therefore initiating the aforementioned Anime Crisis. SMG4 and his friends go to Japan and team up with manga artist, Axol, to lift the anime ban.

The second chapter is Meggy, along with thousands of other Inklings, getting kidnapped by Francis, the Anime Cartel, and Axol's anime creations, who also held Axol hostage. A battle was then started, and as a result, Desti was killed.

  2. #2Saiko Bitchitaru

    Entry settings

She is a hot-headed fighter in SMG4's Gang and a best friend of Meggy Spletzer and Tari. Upon being brought to life by Fishy Boopkins, Saiko suffered from mental instability and evil intentions. Though she was initially villainous towards SMG4's Gang and the Mushroom Kingdom, Saiko decided to be a better person. Since then, she has been much warmer and less psychotic. During The YouTube Arc, Saiko was sent to the Internet Graveyard due to Whimpu (and herself accidentally) altering the events of her debut in SMG4: Doki Doki Mario Club by destroying the laptop with her game in it, preventing Boopkins from bringing her to life. In the typical anime style, Saiko is an incredibly tall and skinny teenager with a curved figure and large bust, who towers above her love interest Fishy Boopkins. She has pink, curly hair with two different colored highlights at the tips: purple highlights on the right side, and yellow highlights on the left. Her eyes are purple and almond-shaped, with thick, curly lashes on the ends. She also has pinkish skin.In terms of attire, Saiko is always seen wearing a tan jacket with a black tube top underneath, a dark-brown miniskirt, a black belt with a skull buckle, black leggings, and light-grey casual shoes with black linings. She wears a skull-and-crossbones pendant around her neck, and her hair is tied up in twin tails with two red bows Just like her name (which was derived from Psycho) implies, Saiko was a psychotic yandere who caused death and destruction to everything she came across, which was one of her "ways" to get attention. In recent bloopers, Saiko started to be repentant towards her past actions, which lead her to become a better person thanks to Luigi's advice in SMG4: Luigi's Lesson. Despite this, she still had moments of being a tsundere. Regardless of her sarcastic and semi-aggressive attitude, Saiko deeply cared for her friends.

The SMG4 Castle is the current residence of SMG4 and clubhouse for the gang in the SMG4 series. It was built to replace Peach's Castle after it was devoured by the Demonic Goop and sent into the depths The Showgrounds is an abandoned carnival setting, with many of the tents and bunting still set up around. It is surrounded by hills and forests. The land where the new castle was built is made up of dirt, with lots of grass surrounding it. In SMG4: THE NEW CASTLE!!, the castle itself was revealed. It has a circus like design with a giant SMG4 cap sporting the new logo on top. The front door has a circus tent design around the edges and the sign above the door very subtly says SMG4, although it's hard to read. There are a pair of eyes on the walls next to the main door. It also has a small flag on top of the SMG4 hat. It has four spires at each corner of the castle. The castle follows a blue and white color scheme, matching SMG4's colors. The layout of the rooms on the ground floor, as you walk in through the main entrance, are:

SMG4's Room straight ahead, The Kitchen to the far left The Guest Room to the right of the Kitchen, The Storage Room to the far right, The Game Room to the left of the Storage Room, The Bathroom to the right of the Storage Room, and the boarded-up Unknown Room to the left of the Kitchen.

  4. #4Meggy Spletzer

    Entry settings

Meggy is a highly competitive athlete in SMG4's Gang who protects herself and her friends from danger. Originally a citizen of Inkopolis, Meggy was obsessed with winning Splatfest, the top Inkling sports competition. Although she started on poor terms with Mario when she escaped from a paint can she was trapped in, they quickly become good friends when he participates in Splatfest with her. As of SMG4: Meggy Moves In, she has moved into the Mushroom Kingdom, now residing in Belmont, Mushroom City, joining SMG4's Gang as one of its most competent and level-headed members. Meggy also plays a central role in the Anime Arc. The arc ends with her being transformed into a human by The Ink Zuccer 2000, affecting her appearance in all subsequent episodes. Meggy's form changed, owing to the fact that an excessive amount of ink was extracted by The Ink Zuccer 2000 (leaving less ink to compose her body), changing her from an Inkling into a human girl. She now has freckles and red-brown eyes, her tentacle hair has become normal ginger (orange) hair, and her body is thinner and somewhat taller. However, Meggy retains her outfit and accessories, even her Inkling gear, though with noticeable differences. Her shirt now features a design of a girl with flowing hair and wearing headphones, and her compression shorts are dark grey and somewhat longer, as well as her boots. She is no longer vulnerable to water, but also can no longer turn into a squid. She is brave, independent, level headed, competitive, enthusiastic, determined, caring, friendly, spunky, energetic, confident, competent, and smart. She graduated from Omnia Academy, with her degree in Law However, just like every character she has a retarded side and can be trigger-happy Meggy is also very determined as she never gives up on her dreams and goals. However, she can go overboard over her Splatfest training, showing her to be over competitive.

  5. #5Tari

Keys: Tari, Gamer Girl, Duck lover

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Tari is a major character in the SMG4 series and the protagonist of Meta Runner as a counterpart in an alternate continuity, where her full name is Turbo Assisted Rapid Intelligence. Tari is a young slender woman of average height. She wears a dodger blue and white hoodie styled to represent a blue jay, with brown khaki pants, and black fingerless gloves, while also having a metallic left arm. She wears plain white socks with dark blue heel and toe patches, and brown flip-flop sandals on top.

She has fair white skin, silky and short neon blue hair in a flat, disheveled neck-length cut prominently styled with a collection of hair acting as a fringe to cover her right eye, similar to Lilyncookies and Rosalina, with black eyebrows, tropical indigo eyes, and pink cheeks. Tari is an innocent, insecure girl frequently prone to hyperactivity who is a fan of video games, rubber ducks, and cats. She is shown to be a pacifist and often tries resolving problems with words rather than actions. Tari is very skilled with weapons such as guns, but is not very athletic and seems to have low stamina. She appears to be very accident-prone, as she often finds herself getting hurt or in danger. She is also really polite and non-confrontational, as she constantly apologizes for every mistake she has made. Tari can be seen as gullible and somewhat naive. Tari has excellent proficiency at any game she picks up, thanks to her pro-level intuition and her cybernetic arm enhancements, and her superhuman strength, for someone who is normally a Pacifist.

  6. #6Melony

    Keys: Melony

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Melony is a minor-turned-major character in the SMG4 series. She was a melon turned humanoid by the Fierce Deity mask, which granted her godlike powers. She would later on use her Fierce Deity powers for the first time and accepting Axol as her love interest, and after the events WOTFI 2021, she becomes a manga artist in concluding her late lover's manga to honor him and has vowed to stay strong. Later in SMG4: To Become a God, Melony was able to use her ability to the fullest by turning into a Fierce Deity version of herself. While at first, she couldn't control herself in this form, but she has yet to master it and strong emotions risk the Fierce Deity taking over. But after some training and the events of REVELATIONS, Melony is finally able to fully control her Fierce Deity powers and overcoming her demons, now with a stronger resolve to live out her life to the fullest. In the Genesis Arc Aftermath, Melony has begun to awaken her true powers, so she wants to go to the Omnia Academy College with Dr. Kawashima train their powers in the "Power Club". She and Meggy both joined and graduated from Omnia Academy. After the Fierce Deity Mask landed on her, Melony has turned into an anime girl: she wears a black and red watermelon-themed hoodie dress with a thin green zig zag line in the middle and a watermelon on the bottom left, black socks and has red eyes, shoulder-length green hair with two thick strands sticking up in the back along with watermelon hair clips on the bangs, and black marks on her cheeks that resemble both watermelon seeds and the red stripes seen on Fierce Deity Link's face. She is also much taller, being around Tari and Belle's height. Also, similar to Saiko and Belle, she also has a more buxom figure compared to Peach, Meggy, or Tari, with a particularly large bust and wide hips, as a testament to her innocent personality. In SMG4: To Become A God, when trying to unleash her true power, Melony's eyes turn white and her hair clips are antique. The sleeves of her hoodie are turquoise, the torso is steeled like the armor, she wears black tights and brown shoes. However, when nearly entering this form, her resembles the Fierce Deity Mask; her eyes turn completely white (causing her to possess no visible pupils or sclera in the process) and her watermelon-like cheeks become the red stripes seen on the mask that she wear. After some training and help from Niles, Melony is finally able to control her Fierce Deity possessed state, causing her eyes to instead become black with large white pupils. In her human form, Melony develops new characteristics; she is now childish and lazy as she is commonly shown sleeping most of the time, referencing her normal and inactive nature from her past life. She has a bad habit on sleeping on anything that she deems "comfortable", including bushes, other watermelons, and sometimes people. Like her melon form, she is also obedient, responding to any orders that are needed from others. However, Melony can also be defiant to those who attempt to use force on her She is skilled at fighting, especially in her deity form, gaining immense durability, strength, and a sword. However, it does drain her of her energy, where she'll then sleep.
