"Slingshot"

Nickname(s): Sling (By Boombox, Shuriken, Skateboard)

Pronoun(s): He/Him (Note: Inphernals are genderless and use any pronouns - these are just the ones used in text for this particular inphernal) Height: 5'8" / 173 cm Age: 22 Birthday: 4 June Gear: Slingshot

Region: Thieves' Den Faction: Factionless (current) Darkage Clan (former)

Occupation(s): Bakery owner

Relations: Shuriken, Vine Staff (siblings) Skateboard (friend)

Lore: Slingshot was naturally spawned in Thieves' Den into the Darkage Clan, where he worked as a warrior alongside Shuriken. The two of them became very close during their work together, eventually considering each other siblings.

Up until recently, Slingshot continued to work for the Darkage Clan, but chose to resign from his position and move to Crossroads for a better life. Slingshot is a baker and runs a café called Thieves' Rest in the second layer of the city, and aspires to be successful enough to move his cafe up to the top layer one day. Slingshot lives in an apartment together with Shuriken and Vine Staff, whom he also considers his sibling. The two of them work for him in his café.

Since Slingshot's resignation from the Darkage Clan, he considers himself to be factionless. He is friends with Skateboard, neighbors with Katana, and often interacts with Coil, who is a regular patron at Thieves' Rest, much to his annoyance.[4]

Personality: Slingshot is a perfectionist, striving for nothing but the best in himself and his work, especially his baking. He can oftentimes push himself past his limits in pursuit of this. He has little tolerance for nonsense, usually coming across as a very blunt individual. Despite this, he softens around his loved ones, and tries to find time outside his work to have fun.

Appearance: Slingshot is a young, lean, athletic-looking Infernal with a light and agile build. He has short, messy white hair that frames his face in slightly uneven, tousled strands. Two distinctive dark horns rise from the top of his head, shaped somewhat like pointed cat ears; despite their appearance, they are horns rather than actual ears. He usually wears a sporty headband around his forehead, giving his appearance an energetic and athletic feel.

His face has youthful, expressive features, with a mischievous and approachable look. His eyes are vivid blue, contrasting nicely with his pale hair, and he has small blue markings beneath one of his eyes that add to his distinctive appearance. His expressions tend to be lively, especially when he smiles or laughs.

Slingshot dresses in a sporty blue-and-white varsity jacket over a dark blue shirt. His outfit is practical and comfortable, with gray athletic pants featuring blue accents along the sides. He wears blue-and-white high-top sneakers designed for agility and movement. His overall appearance combines the look of a young athlete with subtle feline-inspired details, making him look energetic, playful, and effortlessly cool.

Relationships Shuriken Slingshot and Shuriken are very close as siblings, but Slingshot has concerns for his work ethic, believing him to be lazy.[5] Slingshot is unaware of Shuriken's vigilante alter ego, "Silver Shadow".

Vine Staff Slingshot and Vine Staff are very close as siblings, and Slingshot regularly snuck out to visit her when they still lived in Thieves' Den.[6]

Skateboard Slingshot and Skateboard are friends, with Skateboard often seen at Slingshot's café, Thieves' Rest, alongside Coil.

Other relationships Coil often shows up at Slingshot's café to annoy him, much to his chagrin.

Katana is Slingshot's neighbor, but they don't talk much. Slingshot and his siblings like to leave gifts outside Katana's door to show their appreciation for him.

PHIGHTING! takes place in the Inpherno, a planet which resides in a universe known as the Inphinity. The Inpherno is mainly inhabited by inphernals, a race of horned humanoids who are born with a gear that they use to phight one another with. The Inpherno is split into four regions, each with their own territories and factions, all converging into a communal city called Crossroads in the center.

The game currently takes place in 3099 AR[Note 1], with the supplementary comic Death in the Family taking place a few months before the events of the game, in the same year.[1]

Crossroads is the location of the game's hub world, which players use to access the PHIGHT! Lobby, vote in Phestivals, interact with NPCs, buy skins, and hang out with other players.

Phighters, their gear, NPCs, factions, maps, and other locations in the game are based on various established concepts from the ROBLOX platform, primarily from the years 2008 to 2014. Maps are—with few exceptions—faithful reinterpretations of ROBLOX games created prior to 2014; once popular, they have been abandoned by their creators and players. The gear that inphernals are based on are (usually) all real gears that are, or once were, available in the ROBLOX Catalog.

Crossroads is the main central hub for PHIGHTING! with bridges to the 4 factions – Blackrock, Lost Temple, Playground, and Thieves' Den – coming in from each cardinal direction. Within Crossroads lies an abundance of establishments, corporations, and other buildings that are commonly referenced in other maps

Blackrock is one of the four main regions in the Inpherno. It consists of technologically advanced icy mountains controlled by the KORBLOX Administration. The KORBLOX Administration are the ruling faction of Blackrock. They are a military state who typically force their newspawn into science, engineering, or infantry fields. The KORBLOX Administration is ran by a shadowy group of higher-ups who have yet to be seen.Biografts are robots mass produced by Blackrock, having been invented by Subspace with directives to accomplish specific programmed tasks. According to multiple Phighters, they are a relatively recent invention. There are multiple kinds of Biografts with specific skillsets and duties, and they are all based on variants of the Biograft Energy Swords gear. In general, Biografts are not sentient, but specific types of Biografts may be able to form a bond with one another. Biografts are not a hive mind and do not share gained memories with each other. So far, six types of Biografts have been revealed.

Lost Temple is one of the four major regions in the Inpherno. It is an arid desert split in two by a civil war.Lost Temple is a hot, dry desert that was once home to a bustling city full of thousands of inhabitants. Ten years prior to the events of PHIGHTING!, this city was burnt to the ground in the Scorch, and the lasting effects thereof now serves to divide the remaining populace. Most inphernals that did not leave Lost Temple for other regions would end up joining either the Redcliff Wranglers or The Church of the TRUE EYE.

The temperatures of Lost Temple are unbearable to non-natives[1], and even those native to Lost Temple can find the environment unpleasant.[2] Fashion in Lost Temple can be varied, but ponchos, scarves, bandanas, and cowboy hats are common fixtures of an inphernal's wardrobe. Those who live out in the desert plains tend to live in tents and sleep on hammocks.

Playground is one of the four main regions in the Inpherno. It is an urban city [1] as well as Windforce's domain.

Thieves' Den is one of the four major regions in the Inpherno. It is a grassy mountainous jungle inhabited by carnivorous plants, currently ruled by the Darkage Clan.Thieves' Den is a lush, tropical region home to jungles, mountains, and various clans. Currently, the Darkage Clan is the only one known. It is known for its inphernal-eating flora[1] and its vast foliage. An unknown group of Darkage warriors are seen in Death in the Family
