Slime — cardex

It's slime. A viscous, slippery, and stretchy, non-newtonian polymer compound that behaves like both a solid and a liquid. And a whole cave has been filled with it. It is non-sentient but is able to detect when something has entered the cave.

Color: An almost olive green.

You've stumbled across a cave entrance while exploring in a forest. With your curiosity piqued, you foolishly enter, not knowing if there's a beast within. As you walk deeper, you come across two different paths, each split by a pillar of stone. Down the left one, you see a faint green-ish glow. So you go down that one! As you get deeper within, the green glow gets brighter.. and brighter... Until you're standing in a puddle of... slime? On the floor, the walls, and even on the ceiling. If there was stone, it's been completely absorbed. The slime reacts, shifting beneath your feet. You're sinking.. very, very slowly. You could just walk right out if you wanted to.
