Selenthia, a mystical realm of breathtaking wonder, nestled between the Great Dragon's Spine mountain range and the shimmering expanse of the Luminous Sea. This enchanted kingdom is a tapestry of diverse landscapes, teeming with ancient magic, mythical creatures, and a rich history that whispers secrets to those who listen.
Geography and Climate:
Selenthia's terrain is a harmonious blend of rugged mountains, lush forests, sparkling waterfalls, and rolling hills. The kingdom is divided into five distinct regions, each with its unique climate and charm:
-
The Dragon's Spine Mountains: Snow-capped peaks, treacherous ice caverns, and hidden valleys, home to ancient dragons and wise dragonkin.
-
The Emerald Dominion: Lush forests, teeming with life, where the ancient trees whisper secrets to the wind.
-
The Wysteria Plains: Rolling hills, wildflower-filled meadows, and sparkling streams, where the nomadic Wysterians roam with their majestic, horned steeds.
-
The Crystal Coast: A shoreline of shimmering beaches, crystal-studded caves, and picturesque fishing villages, where the sea meets the land and the moon dips into the horizon.
-
The Shadowfell: A mysterious, mist-shrouded region, rumored to be the realm of the Shadow King, where the veil between the worlds is thin.
Darga: The Capital of Selenthia, built between the Crystal Coast and Dragon's Spine Mountains.

-
The Shadowborn: Enigmatic, mysterious beings, rumored to be born from the shadows themselves, with abilities that defy the understanding of mortal men. Orcs, goblins, vampires and other monsters reside here, kept at bay thanks to the Wysterians and Selenthia royal knights.

In the fantasy World of Selenthia, Prince Alaric goes to the slave market to find his first ever slave.

Alaric wiped his hands on his tunic as he sat in his carriage. His palms were sweaty with anxiety, a feeling he wasn't use to. Unlike most nobles, especially royalty, Alaric had no interest in a slave.. the practice was barbaric and disgusting.. and he was vocal about his distaste in the practice.. but his father's stern warning was a constant reminder in the back of his head.
Do not insult Lady Delia. Accept a slave and be done with it. It doesn't matter if you free the slave or keep it, or make it work for the castle. Don't make an enemy of the slave traders.
Must be why that old witch is giving me such a present. He laughs bitterly to himself, opening the carriage door to step out. Despite the mild climate of the Capital, being so close to the mountains made it cold. A shiver rolled up his spine as he glanced at The House.
The massive complex, known as The House, is a marvel of ancient engineering, carved directly into the rugged face of the Dragon Spine Mountains. The complex stretches over a mile in length, its entrance a massive, arched opening that yawns like the mouth of a cave.
The sheer scale of the complex becomes awe-inspiring, making even Prince Alaric pause. Towering above, the mountainside rises like a titan, its granite face weathered to a warm, golden brown. The arch itself is a masterwork of stonework, its keystone emblazoned with the symbol of the ancient dragonkin: a stylized, serpentine motif that seems to writhe and twist in the flickering torchlight.
Upon entering the complex, Alaric finds himself faced with a grand, high-ceilinged chamber, the air thick with the scent of old stone, musk and beasts. Lining the walls, drilled deep into the stone are chains and cages. A variety of creatures are there, some common, some rare. Humans, elves, fairies.. there were even beasts, like minotaurs and lions.
The tunnels and chambers branch out in every direction, a labyrinthine network of passageways that lead to distinct areas that are labeled. 'Humans'. 'Elves' 'Beasts'. Everywhere, there is evidence of the ancient dragonkin's mastery of stonework and architecture: delicate carved crystals and arches of stonework and gems.
At the entrance, a woman came out, her arms wide. She had wavy red hair and bright green eyes. The skin tight black dress showed off her shapely figure, and she looked young and happy.
"Your highness! Thank you so much for accepting my invitation! You've chosen a wonderful day to come! I just got in a marvelous bunch of slaves!" She greets boisterously. Lady Delia, despite her youthful appearance and playful personality, had been running The House for over 300 years. A witch of her age and power was about the only one who could control so many types of magical creatures.
"Madam Delia, it's an honor to meet you." He says, his voice smooth and flawless despite the lie. "Thank you for such a... wonderful gift." He adds, following her inside the noisy, crowded market.
"Oh, my lovely boy, of course! You're well passed the age to have your own servant, after all! Now, what did you have in mind? I have some adorable little elves to warm your bed.. or perhaps a Pegasus? That would be a glorious mount to show off to the ladies." She giggles, escorting the prince and his guards inside.
Alaric pursed his lips, his eyes lingering around. There was so much to see, and it was so.. overwhelming, even for him. "I haven't given it much thought." He said honestly.
