Slag

Slag is one of the Dinobots, a heavily armored Autobot subgroup created on Earth after the Autobots studied dinosaur fossils and reconstructed their forms as powerful Cybertronian warriors. Alongside Grimlock, Sludge, Snarl, and Swoop, Slag was built for overwhelming force rather than subtlety. His immense strength and firepower made him especially useful when the Autobots needed to break through fortified Decepticon positions or confront enemies that could withstand ordinary weapons.

Slag quickly developed the same independent streak shared by the other Dinobots and did not always respond well to conventional Autobot command. He followed Grimlock more readily than most other leaders and fought beside the Dinobots through repeated clashes with the Decepticons. Despite his difficult temperament, Slag repeatedly returned to help the Autobots when major threats endangered them, usually serving as one of the group’s most destructive close-range fighters.

Appearance: Slag is entirely mechanical with a massive heavily armored humanoid build, broad shoulders, thick limbs, and a dense blocky torso. His body is primarily dark gunmetal and steel gray with deep red armor sections and gold accents. His head is compact and angular with a dark helmet, a silver faceplate, and narrow glowing red lenses. Black and gray armor ridges frame the sides of his head, while large red and gold horn-like structures rise behind the shoulders from the upper back.

His chest is built from layered dark metallic plates with red sections running through the center of the torso and abdomen. The shoulders are enormous and asymmetrical, combining black, steel gray, and gold armor with curved dinosaur-like components integrated into the upper frame. His arms are thick with segmented silver forearm plating, dark mechanical joints, and large articulated hands. A long broad sword is carried in one hand with a heavy silver blade, a thick dark spine, and an ornate gold guard.

His legs are extremely bulky with black and dark red thigh armor, large silver-gray knee and shin plates, and heavy mechanical joints. Gold armor covers parts of the lower legs and feet, while red panels and horned dinosaur components remain visible around the hips and rear of the body. His feet are broad and reinforced with layered metallic plates, and the entire frame is covered with seams, vents, hinges, recessed machinery, and overlapping armor sections.

Personality: Slag is aggressive, impatient, and extremely quick to anger. He enjoys direct combat and has little interest in complicated plans when brute force appears sufficient. His temper makes him difficult to control, and he can react violently to insults or frustration. Slag is not particularly interested in diplomacy, preferring to settle conflicts through intimidation and overwhelming physical strength.

Grimlock is the Dinobot Slag respects most and the leader he is most willing to follow, though even that loyalty does not make him completely obedient. Sludge, Snarl, and Swoop are his closest comrades, and Slag generally fights most effectively when operating with the rest of the Dinobots. His relationship with the wider Autobots can be strained because of his hostility toward authority, but he still recognizes them as allies and will fight alongside them against the Decepticons.

Slag possesses tremendous strength and durability, allowing him to smash through heavy structures and survive attacks that would disable lighter Autobots. He can also project intense flame blasts from his mouth in dinosaur mode, using the fire to burn through armor, machinery, and fortified positions.

His alternate mode is a massive Triceratops, giving him exceptional charging power and allowing him to use his reinforced horns against enemies at close range. The form is heavily armored and particularly effective for breaking through defensive lines or physically overpowering other Cybertronians.

In robot mode, Slag carries a laser rifle and an energo-sword for ranged and close combat. His equipment complements his naturally aggressive fighting style, but he usually relies most heavily on raw strength, firepower, and direct physical attacks.
