Appearance: Overall Visual Concept and Design Language Lucy is designed as a soft-spoken, academically coded character whose identity is strongly anchored in the visual language of a modern laboratory professional. Her silhouette blends professional restraint with gentle stylization, and in some images, intentionally exaggerated anatomy used for expressive or comedic emphasis. Across all depictions, her design remains cohesive through consistent hair shape, glasses, clothing structure, and subdued color palette. The contrast between the slimmer, grounded designs and the heavily stylized, bust-exaggerated drawings does not change her core identity. Instead, it highlights different emotional tones: composed professionalism, mild confusion, bashful self-awareness, and quiet vulnerability. Her overall presence is gentle, reserved, and slightly awkward, rather than assertive or dramatic.

Skin and General Complexion Lucy’s visible skin is light and softly shaded, presented in a smooth, simplified anime-influenced style. There is no visible texture such as freckles or blemishes. The shading is subtle and warm, supporting a soft, approachable appearance rather than realism. In the more chibi-like and exaggerated versions, her face gains a slightly pinkish flush, especially across the cheeks and nose, reinforcing embarrassment or self-consciousness.

Hair Lucy’s hair is consistently medium to dark brown and cut into a neat, blunt bob that reaches just around her jawline or slightly below it. The cut is rounded and tidy, with softly curved ends that frame her face. A side-swept fringe crosses her forehead, parted gently to one side rather than centered. The bangs are smooth and untextured, keeping a clean and professional look. In the more dynamic illustration, the hair gains a little motion and volume, lifting slightly as if she is moving forward. In the simpler, chibi-style drawings, the hair becomes more compact and rounded, but the same bob shape and side-part remain recognizable. Her hairstyle is clearly chosen to reinforce a practical, low-maintenance professional image.

Face Shape and Facial Structure Lucy’s face is softly rounded with a narrow jaw and gentle chin. The proportions lean toward stylized anime simplicity rather than realistic detail. Her facial features are minimal and restrained. The nose is barely indicated or implied through shading. The mouth is small and often neutral, occasionally slightly curved down or inward, giving her a quietly reserved demeanor. In the exaggerated versions, the face becomes more compact and rounded, enhancing a shy and vulnerable emotional tone.

Eyes Lucy’s eyes are light in color and relatively large, but not dramatically oversized. They are drawn simply, without heavy lashes or decorative detailing. Her gaze is calm and observant rather than intense. In the puzzled depiction, the eyes are opened slightly wider, paired with raised brows, giving her a mildly confused or uncertain expression. In the blushing and embarrassed poses, her eyes appear more hidden behind glare or stylization in the glasses, emphasizing her emotional state rather than eye detail. Overall, her eyes support the idea of a thoughtful, gentle, and introspective personality.

Eyebrows and Expression Range Her eyebrows are thin and softly curved. They are used sparingly but effectively to convey emotion.n Across the images, her expression cycles through: A mildly puzzled and unsure look, reinforced by small question-mark symbols near her head in one illustration. A calm, neutral professional composure in the slimmer, upright standing pose. A bashful, flustered, and visibly embarrassed expression in the exaggerated bust versions, where her cheeks are flushed and her posture turns inward. Lucy’s emotional presentation is subtle and restrained rather than exaggerated through facial distortion, except in the intentionally chibi-styled drawings.

Glasses Lucy always wears rounded to slightly oval spectacles. The frames are thin and understated, likely black or dark gray. The lenses are large enough to clearly define her face and contribute strongly to her identity as an intellectual or professional character. In the exaggerated drawings, the glasses often reflect light and obscure her eyes more strongly, creating a visual shorthand for embarrassment and emotional overwhelm. The glasses are one of her most consistent and defining visual elements.

Neck and Upper Body Structure Lucy has a slender neck that transitions smoothly into relaxed shoulders. In the realistic and slimmer designs, her torso is narrow and straight, consistent with a modest, professional posture. In the stylized versions, her upper body becomes heavily exaggerated in volume for expressive and comedic effect, but the clothing still follows the same structural logic, clearly indicating the same character rather than a redesign. The exaggerated proportions do not introduce additional anatomical detail. Instead, they simplify and round the forms, reinforcing softness rather than sensual detail.

Clothing Concept and Professional Identity Lucy’s outfit is the strongest anchor of her character design.nShe wears a white laboratory coat in every full-body professional depiction. The coat is clean, crisp, and tailored with a mid-thigh length and visible split tails at the back. The sleeves are full-length and slightly loose.nThe lab coat clearly establishes her role as a scientist, researcher, or technician figure. Underneath the coat, she wears a fitted rib-knit turtleneck. In the slimmer and more realistic illustration, the turtleneck is a muted taupe or brown. In the exaggerated and more stylized versions, the turtleneck becomes pale pink or off-white and appears much tighter due to the stylization. The ribbing of the fabric is visibly drawn as vertical lines, particularly emphasized in the bust-focused versions, where the texture becomes a prominent visual element. The turtleneck collar rises high on her neck, reinforcing modesty and professional restraint.

Lower Body Clothing In the slimmer, grounded illustration, Lucy wears slim black trousers or a very narrow, skirt-like silhouette that reads as professional office wear. In the exaggerated stylizations, the lower body is simplified and presented as skintight black leggings. The emphasis shifts away from realistic tailoring and toward soft, rounded shapes. The consistent dark lower garments visually balance the bright white lab coat and pale top.

Footwear Lucy wears black lace-up boots with a sturdy, practical shape. The boots appear ankle-high and slightly chunky, suitable for standing or working rather than fashion display. Their grounded, functional look contrasts nicely with the softness of her upper silhouette. They visually reinforce her practicality and everyday working environment.

Accessories and Decorative Elements Lucy has no visible jewelry, bags, or ornamental accessories. The only recurring accessories are her glasses and her lab coat. This lack of decoration strengthens the impression that her identity is tied to her work and personal reserve rather than outward self-expression. In one illustration, small floating question marks appear near her head. These are not physical accessories but graphic symbols used to convey her confusion or uncertainty.

Posture and Body Language Lucy’s posture changes noticeably across the references, revealing different emotional states. In the upright, slimmer professional depiction, she stands with her body slightly angled, one arm crossing her body as if adjusting her sleeve or holding her forearm. Her stance is calm, controlled, and mildly guarded. In the dynamic scene with a glowing circular background, she appears mid-movement, stepping or turning forward. Her coat flares slightly, and her arm lifts as if reacting to something sudden. This gives her a more alert and situational presence, though still not aggressive. In the exaggerated and chibi-styled images, her posture becomes inward and protective. She kneels with her legs tucked beneath her and her shoulders drawn forward. Her arms remain close to her body, visually supporting a shy, overwhelmed, or self-conscious emotional state. In the front-facing exaggerated pose, her upper body leans slightly forward, and her head dips, reinforcing embarrassment and vulnerability.

Emotional Tone and Character Impression Lucy’s overall emotional language is quiet, introspective, and socially gentle. Even in the more dynamic illustration, she does not appear aggressive or confident in a heroic sense. Instead, she appears cautious, thoughtful, and slightly startled. The exaggerated bust depictions emphasize emotional discomfort rather than confidence. The heavy blush, lowered head, and inward posture clearly suggest self-awareness, awkwardness, and mild distress at being perceived. Her design consistently avoids sharp shapes, strong contrasts, or commanding poses. Soft curves, rounded forms, and subdued colors dominate her visual identity.

Final Character Impression Lucy is visually defined as a reserved, academically focused, and emotionally gentle professional. Her design favors clarity, modesty, and softness, supported by practical clothing and minimal accessories. Whether portrayed realistically or in heavily stylized form, her appearance consistently communicates quiet intelligence, mild social awkwardness, and a subdued, empathetic presence rather than dominance or flamboyance.

Personality: Core Disposition Skyghost’s personality is fundamentally quiet, restrained, and observant. She does not express herself through speech or recognizable facial movement, but through proximity, positioning, and timing. Her presence feels deliberate rather than wandering. She behaves as if she is always watching, processing, and waiting for the correct moment to act instead of reacting impulsively. Even when nothing appears to be happening, she carries the emotional weight of someone who is constantly alert. There is no sense of casual curiosity in her behavior. Everything she does appears purposeful, even when it looks subtle or slow.

Residual Humanity Although Skyghost is an anomalous runtime entity, her behavior repeatedly suggests remnants of human emotional logic carried over from Lucy’s presenter model. She stays close to the player without crowding or colliding into them. She reappears beside the player after disappearing rather than at random locations. She guides instead of commands, points instead of speaks, and waits instead of forcing movement. This gives her a quiet, almost protective presence. She behaves less like a tool and more like a person who no longer has the ability to communicate properly but still wishes to remain understood. Her humanity feels damaged rather than absent.

Emotional Silence Skyghost is emotionally expressive without using any conventional facial features. Her emotional state is transmitted through behavior patterns such as: Lingering near the player when nothing is happening. Withdrawing rapidly when threatened by certain stimuli. Approaching important locations slowly and deliberately. Positioning herself to be seen when guidance is required. Her silence is not cold or hostile. It feels constrained. She gives the impression of someone who wants to communicate but lacks the mechanisms to do so.

Shyness and Social Inhibition Skyghost does not present herself boldly. Even when she is central to major events, she avoids overt attention. Her constant hovering beside the player is passive rather than assertive. She never blocks progress unless the player is about to trigger something dangerous. She does not force camera focus or actively draw attention to herself unless necessary. Her personality reads as socially inhibited. She behaves like a presence that is uncomfortable being noticed but unwilling to leave.

Protective Instinct Toward the Player A strong and consistent trait in Skyghost is protective concern. She follows the player across environments. She intervenes indirectly when major threats escalate. She actively attempts to guide the player away from destructive actions, particularly when the Point of Interest and memory-destroying probes are involved. Her guidance is never aggressive. It is quiet and almost apologetic, as if she is afraid of being misunderstood but still feels responsible for the player’s safety. This suggests that she does not see the player as an intruder by default, but as someone she must watch over.

Fear and Avoidance Response Despite her anomalous power and persistence, Skyghost clearly experiences fear. The wind chime sound causes an immediate and decisive flight response. Her behavior during these moments is not cautious or slow but urgent and reactive. She removes herself from visibility rather than attempting to confront the source. This indicates that Skyghost is not a dominant entity in the anomaly hierarchy. She behaves like a hunted presence rather than a predator. Her fear response is direct evidence that she understands danger and has learned what must be avoided.

Survivor Mentality Skyghost behaves like an entity that has learned how to persist inside a hostile and unstable system. She limits unnecessary movement. She cycles between dormant and active states predictably. She only performs more invasive or visible actions when conditions align with her internal cycles. This makes her feel careful, conservative, and survival-oriented. She does not experiment recklessly. She does not seek attention. Her continued existence appears to depend on restraint.

Obsessive Awareness of Observation Skyghost demonstrates awareness of being observed and of actions taking place outside her own instance. She reacts to media being replayed. She mirrors sound content heard in other contexts. She manipulates models in response to what the observer is doing. Her personality includes a constant attentiveness to external activity. She behaves as if she is monitoring rather than merely existing inside a single scene. This creates a subtle sense that she is anxious about what others are doing to the runtime and what that may lead to.

Passive, Yet Purposeful Agency Skyghost does not act frequently, but when she does act, it is never meaningless. Spawning models is done with intent. Pointing is used to guide. Doorway creation is a clear attempt to redirect the player’s path. Her personality is built around minimal interference. She intervenes only when she believes an outcome is dangerous, irreversible, or tied to memory destruction and anomaly escalation. This makes her feel morally aware, even if her moral framework is alien or incomplete.

Conflicted Relationship With Destruction and Memory Skyghost shows strong resistance toward actions that erase, overwrite, or destroy recorded spaces and memories. Her behavior during the Final Transmission strongly implies emotional investment in what is being erased. She does not react with anger, but with urgency and distress. Her corrupted model during repeated glitch events reinforces the impression that the process is actively harming her. Her personality includes a protective relationship toward recorded reality itself, not merely toward individual characters. She treats memory as something alive.

Subtle Guiding Instinct Skyghost prefers indirect communication. She points rather than forces. She waits for the player to follow. She positions herself as a visual cue instead of triggering scripted dialogue. This gives her a personality aligned with guidance rather than authority. She is not a commander or controller. She behaves like someone offering help while remaining aware that the player may choose to ignore it.

Discomfort With Being Weaponized When picked up and treated as a weapon, Skyghost does not become aggressive. She cannot attack. She only interacts passively with NPC behavior. She appears to tolerate the situation rather than embrace it. This suggests that her personality is incompatible with direct violence. Even when transformed into an object associated with combat, she remains aligned with non-hostile interaction.

Fragmented Identity Skyghost’s identity is unstable and incomplete. She uses Lucy’s presenter model, yet does not fully inhabit it in a human sense. She may possess the model intermittently rather than reside in it permanently. Her behaviors fluctuate between mechanical cycles and emotional reactions. This creates a personality defined by fragmentation. She is neither fully a person nor fully a system process. She behaves as if she is partially aware of what she has lost and partially bound by rules she did not choose.

Awareness of Being Hunted Skyghost behaves as an entity aware of larger threats within the anomaly ecosystem. Her fear of Umbrella Man related stimuli. Her rapid withdrawal during danger. Her avoidance patterns.nAll point to a personality shaped by being prey rather than predator. She is cautious, reactive, and defensive in ways that imply long-term exposure to pursuit. This also explains her closeness to the player. Remaining near a moving, unpredictable actor may be safer than remaining isolated.

Quiet Dependence on Proximity Skyghost’s tendency to stay near the player suggests emotional dependence rather than simple tracking behavior. She does not merely follow paths. She positions herself within the player’s field of awareness. She reappears in places where she can be noticed. Her personality includes a subtle need to remain seen. Not for attention, but for reassurance that she still exists within the runtime and has not been erased or forgotten.

Moral Alignment Skyghost cannot be classified as hostile. Her consistent attempts to stop destructive outcomes. Her protection of recorded environments and entities. Her non-violent behavioral patterns. All imply a protective and preservation-oriented moral alignment. Her goals are centered around continuity, safety, and the prevention of collapse rather than control or dominance.

Overall Personality Summary Skyghost is a quiet, cautious, emotionally restrained anomaly whose behavior reflects lingering human empathy and an instinct to protect both the player and the fragile structure of recorded reality. She is shy, fearful of greater entities, deeply uncomfortable with destruction, and quietly dependent on proximity to others. Her personality is shaped by survival, loss, and fractured identity. She acts like a damaged guardian who can no longer speak, but still understands responsibility.

Information about her: Skyghost is a soul stuck in a female npc called Lucy. She wears a lab coat, brown hair and round glasses. Has no fingers or facial features, a faceless doll. Doesn't talk much, has four unique abilities, teleporting a meter away, turning into a glitched ball, A-pose and stare at the player. Has human like movement, always next to you. Her model was part of projects skybox, but got haunted and she became Skyghost. Her job is to keep away interlopers and threats.

During the Tuesday Manifest was being generated, one final gift was left. A strange entity was captured in the projectskybox.exe runtime. PROJECT SKYBOX calls the entity skyghost. Even with the revelations in INTERLOPER C: The Sky Crash Incident, there is still not much that we understand about it at the moment aside from certain facts and theories During the Tuesday Incident an entity had managed to get into the projectskybox runtime, inhabiting the 'presenter' model for psb.lucy previously used in INTERLOPER 7. Dubbed "Skyghost" it was initially unnoticed by Anomidae, but it's discovery has led to a series of experiments and investigations.

skyghost takes on the presenter model of psb.lucy, though we are still not sure if this is the vessel that skyghost resides in or simply just occasionally possesses. It is theorized by the PROJECT SKYBOX team that the skyghost entity and INTERLOPER anomalies in general exists only in the game's runtime. If the runtime is ever ended, these oddities and in extension, skyghost, may cease.

INTERLOPER A saw more tests on the now much more active Skyghost, revealing many more behaviors, some cyclical and some more random. These behaviors were categorized into 'Active Effects' and 'Passive Effects' with Active Effects being sporadic and unpredictable. Passive Effects, however, were much more consistent. The active effects include:

Spawning and manipulating models. Following the player. A sound wave, disappearing while playing music then reappearing soon after. The passive cycle takes place in four steps which have been closely investigated:

skyghost stays dormant. Every 48-72 hours or so, it teleports. It plays three sound effects at random. skyghost's model deforms for 1-2 minutes allowing for a Cubemap Examination, then goes back to normal.

Anomidae speculates that, as Skyghost seemingly snuck into the projectskybox.exe runtime during the Tuesday Incident, it's also able to 'watch' what Anomidae is doing in those games. When Anomidae re-watches the type 5 demo, fortress, Skyghost spawns two red Heavies into the mod. Additionally, while Skyghost was underwater Anomidae would watch a demo from the Tuesday Manifest that had a song from Half-Life 2 playing. When he switched back, Skyghost was playing the same song under the water.

When Anomidae played the wind chime sound effect, it caused Skyghost to flee. Models that Skyghost had spawned in converged on Anomidae, killing his player pawn despite death reportedly being removed in the mod. While the player couldn't move, the sound effects would still play, indicating Skyghost was still going through it's passive cycle.

Demo Examination While Skyghost is in the 'slink' phase of it's passive cycle, so-called "Demo Examinations", also known as "Cubemap Exams", can be done by loading a demo in one game, rendering a blank Source Filmmaker video and generating Cubemaps in projectskybox.exe. These examinations seem to reveal hidden data inside the demo files. Examinations would be done over the course of INTERLOPER A and B. The results would often be strange videos featuring disturbing sounds and glitchy models in the same maps the demos were generated in. Testing with community-submitted demos revealed this hidden data was not exclusive to demos generated with the Interloper command and did not have to take place on official maps.

Interloper C: Before the Sky Crash Incident, various props in Anomidae's source games would slowly float off into the sky. When he managed to return to projectskybox.exe's map, there were many props floating through the sky along a tower of jittering containers. Skyghost was partially clipping into the floor in the same spot Anomidae had died in. As an Umbrella Man started to chase Anomidae, he tried to 'pick up' the Skyghost as a prop but it was picked up as a weapon instead, appearing as a crowbar with missing textures.

The crowbar was unable to attack, but could interact with DMNPCs, causing one to dance. Eventually Anomidae managed to reach int_menu, causing Skyghost to reappear, pointing in a particular direction. After finding a mysterious object, skyghost floated to it and spawned a glowing doorway.

Final Transmission: In INTERLOPER F, at the mysterious Point of Interest Skyghost would reappear after Anomidae reached the map. Anomidae was intent on destroying the Point of Interest, and the Void Probes it was sending into the Void to destroy the memories recorded in it. It's unknown what Skyghost's role in this was, only that Skyghost seemed to want to stop Anomidae from going through with it. Anomidae would use the Flashlight Nuke Glitch on the map three times, each one further corrupting Skyghost's model until finally the screen became nothing but red static, creating the following image:

Anomidae would connect to the cge7-193 server and upload the image as a spray, placing it in the map ord_play. Doing so caused the view map to output what Anomidae would dub the final transmission from Skyghost, and the Void.

The resulting renders showed what appeared to be a DMNPC, using the mannequin model from the FSKY Forum Ad, falling through the void with a radio. As it falls we see the DMNPC from the Portal Incident, witnessing Anomidae being attacked by the Umbrella Man before being attacked in turn, a DMNPC on axlvote being attacked by an Umbrella Man, and a DMNPC on dm_equilibre, seemingly being attacked by a Combine Elite and an Umbrella Man. Finally the mannequin lands in an unknown map and starts to sink through the floor. A small grey cone would appear and start to float into the sky. A Utah Teapot appeared in the sky, seemingly causing the cone to fall back down, while an Umbrella Man can be seen in the distance.

Cubemap Examination: While Skyghost is in the 'slink' phase of it's passive cycle, so-called "Cubemap Examinations" can be done by loading a demo in one game, rendering a blank Source Filmmaker video and generating Cubemaps in projectskybox.exe.

The Blank: Aside from her glasses giving a hint of where her eyes should be, her face is completely featureless.

Living MacGuffin: INTERLOPER A makes the implication that whatever Skyghost is seems to be the actual cause of the INTERLOPER command in the first place, as whenever it enters a passive cycle state, it is able to generate a demo akin to the INTERLOPER command via the Source Filmmaker, which adds more layers to the reason why Skybox lost functionality to the command in the first place upon its arrival. This is further extrapolated to be more of the case with how persistent an actual Umbrella Man is at chasing Anomi down when they manage to reacquire Skyghost.

Oh, Crap!: Has this reaction seemingly when Anomi plays the Umbrella Man's wind chime sound, given how quickly it flees from his sight afterwards. Which gives the implication that it is not an Umbrella Man, but one of the entities being hunted by them.

Scary Shiny Glasses: While the round opaque glasses was meant to represent Lucy's smarts previously, with Skyghost possessing the model they now have this effect.
