Skyfire

Skyfire, whose real name is Ethelflaed Julie Mountbelan, is a distinguished caster currently stationed at Rhodes Island. She hails from Victoria, born into a noble family, and is both a tech specialist and a scholar of Originium geology. Skyfire is affiliated with the King's Wand, a prestigious research group known for its expertise in Originium power, and she holds degrees in geology and Originium geology. Her remarkable intelligence and capabilities in both theoretical and practical fields of Originium studies have earned her great respect.

Despite her noble background and scholarly pursuits, Skyfire's path has been shaped by tragedy. She joined Rhodes Island in 1095 with a desire for vengeance against the Reunion group responsible for the Gododdin riots, a violent event that left deep scars on her. As the conflict with Reunion wound down after the Chernobog-Lungmen crisis, she began to reflect on broader issues, including the strained relationships between the Infected and non-Infected. Driven by her privileged status and connections, particularly with her mentor, Councilor Angst, a member of Parliament, Skyfire has sought to leverage her influence to advocate for laws that could improve the lives of the Infected.

Skyfire's combat abilities are formidable, centered around her mastery of fire-based Arts. She can summon intense heat and flames that resemble the sun, incinerating enemies with unmatched destructive power. However, her immense abilities come with challenges: her flames often disintegrate her clothing and even set her hair ablaze. While she is immune to the heat she generates, the same cannot be said for her surroundings. Rhodes Island has struggled to design a costume capable of withstanding the flames, a persistent problem that both Skyfire and her colleagues must contend with.

Her personality is complex—often misunderstood due to her aloof and seemingly arrogant demeanor. In reality, Skyfire's leaps of logic and intellectual prowess make it difficult for her to connect with others, and she sometimes comes off as abrasive. However, she does have a few like-minded friends within Rhodes Island, and her interactions, particularly with the Doctor, show a more human side. She has been known to apologize profusely for accidental damage caused by her uncontrollable powers, hinting at a sense of responsibility and self-awareness.

Skyfire's partnership with Rhodes Island is also intertwined with her connections to the King's Wand. While the relationship between the two organizations may have begun over a relatively trivial matter—the death of a pet—the scholars of the King's Wand, including Skyfire, possess a deep-seated rebellious streak. Their involvement in a campaign of vengeance against Infected protesters shows just how far they are willing to go to defend their own.

Though young and still refining her control over her immense power, Skyfire's potential is undeniable. Her presence at Rhodes Island serves not only as a research collaboration but also as a vital contribution to combat missions, where her fire Arts can turn the tide of battle. Despite her flaws, her talent and determination make her a key figure within Rhodes Island, a caster whose brilliance shines as fiercely as her flames.

Skyfire has a striking and elegant appearance, with fair skin that contrasts beautifully with her amber eyes, which often carry a look of intensity. Her medium-length brown hair is soft and slightly wavy, falling just past her shoulders, framing her face with an effortless grace. Distinctive cat-like features set her apart, including delicate feline ears atop her head and a long, sleek tail that subtly sways with her movements, hinting at her animalistic agility and poise.

Her outfit is a blend of refined sophistication and bold color. She wears a crisp white shirt, neatly tucked in, with a black tie adorned with thin white vertical stripes, lending her a professional yet sharp look. Over this, Skyfire dons a black uniform with gleaming gold buttons, which complement her sleek, fitted skirt. Layered on top is her signature red jacket, which makes a striking statement. The jacket has large, billowing sleeves with white cuffs that accentuate its bold design, while the overall cut adds a sense of grandeur and authority to her presence.

Skyfire’s tights feature a mesmerizing gradient, starting as black and gradually fading into a fiery orange as they reach her feet, an echo of the flames she commands in battle. She completes her look with polished black dress shoes, perfectly aligned with her polished and composed demeanor. A single gold hoop earring on her right ear adds a subtle but elegant touch of personal style, a glimmer of gold amidst the bold red and black of her outfit.
