(Evan D. Kijek) was born on July 9th, 1994 in Madison Wisconsin. Growing up listening and idolizing music, Kraven knew he would one day be an artist. From the age of 4 he started playing the piano, drums, and many other percussion instruments. Getting into music at a young age helped his knowledge with sound. During his middle school years, Kraven soon fell in love with the rap game. Through high school he started not only falling for the game itself, but also the street life that came with it. At the age of 16 Kraven was starting to experience some mental and emotional challenges including addiction and mental illness. Dealing with those roadblocks, Kraven started looking for ways to cope. At 18 he made writing music his therapy. “I would put my pain, anger, excitement, and emotions into all of my writings and turned them into poetry, into a story.” said Kraven. That is when he knew rap was his calling. The lyrics to most of Evan D. Kijek's songs are about a his alter ego named, sKitz Kraven. ,who is a paranoid schizophrenic with a penchant for violence and murder. He introduces himself as a patient and talks about how he is not interested in making new friends. He makes references to hiding bodies in his basement and claims to have decapitated people like a Haitian. He expresses his disdain for his medication but admits to using it to cope with his mental illness. He also talks about a woman named Beth, who he has killed and is now using her body for various purposes. Evan claims that he wasn't always like this and it was someone you may all know too well, Carolin who's actually introduced as heroin. His lyrics are quite graphic and disturbing, painting a picture of a mentally ill person with a violent nature. Most songs address some serious issues related to mental health, and the portrayal of such individuals in popular culture. It's important to understand that songs like these are fictional and should not be taken as an endorsement of such behavior. It's also essential to acknowledge the importance of seeking help if you or anyone you know is dealing with mental health issues.
