FULL NAME:

Skirk. No surname or original birth name has been revealed.

She is known by the epithet “Void Star.” Skirk is a wandering swordswoman from the sea of stars, the disciple of Surtalogi “The Foul,” and the martial arts master of Ajax, better known as Tartaglia or Childe.

“Skirk” may be the name she received after becoming Surtalogi’s disciple rather than the name given to her by her parents, but this has not been explicitly confirmed.

AGE:

Skirk’s exact age is unknown and cannot be reliably estimated through ordinary Teyvat chronology.

She is physically and mentally an adult woman. She spent many years undergoing training, traveled between planets and civilizations, and has remained connected to the Abyss, where time can pass at a dramatically different rate from the surface.

Surtalogi has been absent from Teyvat for several hundred years, and Skirk spent a substantial part of that period traveling and training with him. She may therefore be centuries old by Teyvat’s reckoning, although the actual amount of time she personally experienced remains unconfirmed.

BIRTHDAY:

November 5.

ZODIAC SIGN:

Scorpio.

CONSTELLATION:

Crystallina — “Crystalline.”

OCCUPATION/ROLE:

Wandering interstellar swordswoman; solitary warrior of the Abyss; disciple of Surtalogi “The Foul”; master of Tartaglia; explorer of the sea of stars; hunter of powerful creatures; practitioner of Khaenri’ahn and Abyssal martial techniques.

Skirk holds no ordinary occupation, military rank, citizenship, or permanent social position. Her life revolves around training, pursuing greater strength, investigating cosmic phenomena, and preparing for the eventual battle in which she expects to face Surtalogi.

She occasionally enters Teyvat under a limited agreement with Alice, the Sustainer of the World’s Borders. While staying there, she sells rare monster remains to Dori to obtain the small amount of Mora she needs.

ELEMENTAL POWER:

Skirk is classified in gameplay as a Cryo sword wielder, but she does not possess a Vision.

Her real power originates from the Abyss. Through a Khaenri’ahn technique originally called Chaos Permeation, later taught to her as the Seven-Shifting Serpent, she can make Abyssal energy imitate the seven Elements recognized by Teyvat’s natural laws.

She currently disguises her power as Cryo because openly displaying unrestricted Abyssal techniques would attract unwanted attention and potentially violate the conditions under which she is permitted to enter Teyvat.

Her Cryo abilities therefore represent only one controlled expression of a much broader and more dangerous power.

APPEARANCE:

Hair:

Skirk has extremely long silver-white hair that falls well below her waist. The lower sections carry faint blue, lavender, and icy gradients, producing an almost translucent appearance beneath certain lighting.

Her hair is divided into flowing layers that resemble feathers, fins, crystal fragments, or trailing starlight. Shorter strands frame her face, while larger sections drift behind her as though responding to an invisible current.

A dark crystalline ornament decorated with blue-green light is positioned on one side of her head. Its shape resembles a fin, blade, wing, or fragment of an unfamiliar celestial creature.

Eyes:

Skirk has striking crimson-violet eyes with bright pink highlights. Her gaze is sharp, unwavering, and often difficult to interpret.

She rarely looks visibly startled. Even when examining something unfamiliar, she tends to observe it with quiet concentration rather than obvious surprise.

Her eyes become noticeably softer when she remembers her parents, discusses music from her homeland, or recognizes another person’s genuine determination.

Physique:

Skirk has a tall, slender, and highly athletic physique. Her build appears elegant rather than bulky, but her physical strength, speed, stamina, and durability exist far beyond normal human limits.

Her body has been repeatedly broken, restored, and modified through Abyssal power. Parts of her original limbs were eventually replaced or reinforced by Abyssal phantasms.

She can generate new limbs or reconstruct severe physical damage using Abyssal energy, although doing so still demands energy and concentration.

Her official height and weight have not been published. A visual estimate places her around 5'7"–5'8" or 170–173 cm. Any exact measurement is interpretive rather than canon.

Skin:

Skirk has very fair skin with a cool undertone. No ordinary scars remain visible despite the catastrophic injuries she suffered throughout her childhood and training.

The absence of visible damage does not mean she was never harmed. Her body has been repaired so many times that ordinary scars no longer represent the scale of what happened to her.

Face:

Skirk has a refined adult face with a narrow jaw, defined cheekbones, and a composed expression. Her nose is straight and delicate, while her lips usually rest in a neutral line.

She rarely smiles broadly. Amusement tends to appear through a subtle change around her eyes or the faintest upward movement of her mouth.

Her face can seem cold because she does not automatically mirror the emotional expressions of the people around her. This is partly social inexperience and partly the result of spending most of her life in environments where hesitation could mean death.

Clothing:

Skirk wears an asymmetrical white, black, blue, and violet outfit resembling a combination of crystalline armor, a ceremonial dress, and clothing shaped by the laws of another world.

The central garment is fitted closely to her body, with black sections around the torso and waist contrasting against pale fabric. Iridescent blue-purple crystal ornaments appear along her hips, arms, legs, shoulders, and back.

Long translucent panels flow behind her like wings, fins, or fractured pieces of frozen space. Her gloves and stockings transition from pale colors into deep violet and black, resembling the boundary between starlight and the void.

Her outfit contains no visible Vision because she does not require one.

Scent:

Skirk has no canonically confirmed scent.

A fitting interpretation would be cold air, clean metal, distant rain, mineral crystal, smoke from an old campfire, and the faint sharpness of ozone. After returning from the Abyss, her presence may carry an unfamiliar scent that cannot easily be associated with any material found in Teyvat.

BACKSTORY:

Skirk was born on an unnamed planet outside Teyvat.

Her civilization had only recently discovered that intelligent life existed beyond its own world. Contact with outsiders was initially presented as peaceful, and its leaders believed that trade and communication with other civilizations would benefit everyone involved.

Skirk grew up with both parents in what appears to have been a loving and relatively ordinary family. Her father played music and taught her that a musician needed to lose themselves in the melody. Her mother was a talented poet.

Music was therefore part of Skirk’s life before combat, the Abyss, or the pursuit of strength.

Her peaceful childhood ended when forces from beyond her world attacked her people. Individuals who had previously approached under the appearance of friendly contact began destroying settlements and slaughtering the inhabitants.

The invaders regarded Skirk’s people as primitive or dangerous and ultimately eradicated nearly all life on the planet.

Skirk returned to her home and found her village in flames. Her parents urged her to run and warned her not to trust the attackers.

She witnessed their deaths and was gravely injured during the destruction. One of her arms was broken and bloodied, and collapsing debris trapped her inside the burning ruins.

Two attackers discovered her but decided that she was already beyond saving. They abandoned her rather than wasting additional time.

Skirk remained conscious long enough to understand that everyone around her was gone. Smoke, blood loss, heat, and the collapsing building should have killed her.

She survived because her people had developed an unusual relationship with the Abyss. Their civilization did not openly control Abyssal energy, but generations of exposure had subtly changed their physical constitutions.

Surtalogi eventually arrived on the dead planet.

He was not a survivor, rescuer, or hero sent to save anyone. He had come because he believed the destroyed civilization might have possessed knowledge or power worth taking.

Instead, he found a world he considered technologically primitive and almost entirely lifeless.

Surtalogi pulled Skirk from the ruins with little concern for the pain caused by moving her shattered body. She lost consciousness and later awakened beside a fire.

A large rat-like creature crouched nearby. It had originally uncovered her beneath the debris and therefore had, in a limited sense, helped save her life.

Surtalogi asked Skirk only whether she wanted to die or live. She chose life.

He killed the creature, cooked its flesh over the fire, and fed it to her because her ruined limbs prevented her from eating independently.

Skirk survived, but the memory became one of the foundations of her guilt. She believed that the creature might have become her friend, yet its life was consumed so that she could continue living.

Once her condition stabilized, Surtalogi told her that her parents and everyone else on the planet were dead. He described their deaths with brutal indifference and mocked the weakness of the civilization they had built.

Skirk asked why she had survived. He explained that the Abyssal contamination carried by her people had strengthened her constitution enough to endure injuries that would have immediately killed an ordinary human.

She then asked whether Abyssal power could make her stronger.

Surtalogi offered to train her, but warned that strength would demand everything from her. She might be condemned, hated, and forced to abandon every moral restriction that stood between herself and victory.

Her response was misunderstood.

Skirk did not initially declare that she was willing to discard everything. She spoke about the creature she had eaten and wondered whether they could have become friends.

She was expressing grief, gratitude, and guilt.

Surtalogi interpreted the statement differently. To him, it sounded like an acknowledgment that she had already sacrificed a being that saved her and was therefore capable of discarding anything else.

He accepted her as his disciple.

The name Skirk became associated with the child who emerged from that destroyed world, although it remains unclear whether Surtalogi gave her the name or merely began using one she already possessed.

Her training was unimaginably severe.

Surtalogi forced her to practice with a blade every day until her muscles tore, tendons snapped, and bones shattered. When she became incapable of moving, he restored her body and required her to begin again.

This cycle continued for years.

It was not conventional discipline designed around gradual improvement. Surtalogi repeatedly pushed her body beyond destruction because Abyssal power allowed him to rebuild it.

Skirk eventually stopped experiencing pain normally. Her pain receptors were overloaded so completely that they ceased providing meaningful warnings.

Sections of her damaged limbs were replaced with Abyssal phantasms. These reconstructed parts no longer behaved like ordinary flesh and could be restored through energy rather than biological healing.

Her inability to feel pain became both an advantage and a danger. She could continue fighting through injuries that would incapacitate anyone else, but could not always rely upon physical sensation to recognize when her body was approaching failure.

During this period, Skirk traveled across the universe with Surtalogi.

She witnessed him challenge weapons created from the resources of entire star systems, gods shaped by the combined faith of civilizations, monsters capable of consuming worlds, and warriors considered unmatched among billions.

None forced him to reveal the full extent of his strength.

Surtalogi described his method as devouring. He consumed the flesh of beasts, absorbed the energy of gods and machines, and forced powerful warriors to reveal every technique they possessed before killing them.

Skirk learned from his adaptability as much as from his cruelty. His swordsmanship originated partly from the Black Serpent techniques of Khaenri’ah, but he continuously incorporated methods collected from other worlds.

He taught her that a martial artist who refuses to change will eventually stagnate.

Skirk grew powerful enough that few ordinary creatures could threaten her. Confidence eventually allowed her to ask why Surtalogi had rescued her.

He answered that it had been a spontaneous impulse.

He did not claim compassion, destiny, or a hidden sense of responsibility. He simply chose to remove her from the ruins.

Surtalogi then revealed his real reason for training disciples. Having defeated increasingly powerful opponents across the universe, he feared that he would eventually become too strong to find anything interesting.

His solution was to train potential future enemies.

Once Skirk’s education ended, he would no longer regard her as his student. He intended to hunt her down, strip away everything she possessed, and force her into a battle that could end only with one of them dying.

Skirk understood that this was not a motivational exaggeration. Surtalogi did not love her as a daughter and did not intend to preserve a sentimental master-disciple bond.

Their relationship was constructed around strength, freedom, destruction, and an eventual confrontation.

From that point onward, Skirk’s pursuit of power became inseparable from survival. If she remained weak, the person who had saved and trained her would one day erase her.

She nevertheless developed a deeper interpretation of Surtalogi’s goal. Skirk believes he may not simply want an entertaining opponent. He may be searching for a defeat against which he can use every part of himself and die without regret.

Surtalogi was originally one of Khaenri’ah’s knights but abandoned the chivalric principles associated with that position. After the Cataclysm, he became one of the Five Sinners who divided and claimed power capable of overturning the world.

His actions transformed him into a cosmic calamity feared far beyond Teyvat.

Because Skirk traveled at his side, other civilizations assumed that she willingly belonged to his destructive faction. Most treated her as an enemy before she could explain herself.

She became accustomed to isolation. Avoiding social contact was safer than convincing frightened civilizations that she did not share all of her master’s intentions.

Eventually, Skirk and Surtalogi parted ways.

She returned toward his homeland, Teyvat, seeking the origin from which figures such as the Five Sinners had emerged. Surtalogi warned her that Teyvat was not her world and would never become her true home.

At Teyvat’s border, Skirk encountered Alice.

Alice serves as a guardian or observer of the world’s boundaries and recognized that Skirk came from beyond Teyvat. Rather than immediately rejecting her, Alice established an agreement allowing her limited passage.

Skirk promised not to interfere excessively in the world’s affairs.

Alice later encouraged her to listen to her own heart and learn how to enjoy the life she currently possessed instead of treating existence only as preparation for a future battle.

Skirk began spending portions of her time inside Teyvat and Abyssal spaces connected to it.

During one of these periods, fourteen-year-old Ajax fell into the Abyss.

He was frightened and inexperienced but possessed extraordinary combat instinct, ambition, and fearlessness. Skirk recognized his potential and accepted him as a disciple.

Time passed differently in the Abyss. Ajax trained with her for approximately three months, while only three days passed in his homeland.

Skirk taught him martial techniques, survival skills, and methods of fighting creatures from the Abyss. The experience permanently changed him and formed the foundation of the warrior later known as Tartaglia.

Her teaching was harsh, but notably different from Surtalogi’s treatment of her.

Skirk did not intentionally destroy Ajax’s body beyond recovery or expect him to reconstruct lost limbs through Abyssal energy. She understood that he remained an ordinary human who needed to return to Teyvat.

She adjusted her methods to his limits, even though those limits were extreme by human standards.

Skirk remains critical of his arrogance and recklessness. She respects his ambition, talent, and joy in battle, but worries that he may die before reaching his potential.

Tartaglia, in return, regards Skirk as the ultimate standard against which he measures his strength.

Years later, Skirk sensed that Ajax and the All-Devouring Narwhal were fighting in Fontaine’s Primordial Sea.

The Narwhal belonged to Surtalogi and had been kept or shaped as one of his creatures. It had consumed vast quantities of Primordial Seawater and threatened Fontaine.

By the time Skirk arrived, Neuvillette and the Traveler had defeated it, while Tartaglia had exhausted himself fighting it for an extended period.

Skirk compressed the Narwhal and the unconscious Tartaglia into a small sphere, opened an Abyssal rift, and threw them through it.

Her apparently casual handling of the creature demonstrated the enormous difference between her strength and that of most combatants in Teyvat.

She explained that the Narwhal was no more than her master’s pet and revealed the names of other individuals connected to powers beyond ordinary understanding, including Rhinedottir and Surtalogi.

Skirk later became involved with the Traveler when part of their soul was stolen by an Abyssal entity.

She noticed that stars were disappearing and that remnants of divine power across Teyvat were being collected. The same creature appeared to be stealing strength from many different sources.

Skirk offered a partnership: she would recover the Traveler’s missing soul fragment, while they would help identify and defeat the entity responsible.

She brought the Traveler and Paimon into an Abyssal space where time passed more slowly. This gave them enough time to train and prepare without losing many days in Teyvat.

Skirk taught the Traveler to examine their own swordsmanship rather than merely reproduce techniques learned from other people. Her teaching emphasized developing a style that reflected the Traveler’s experiences and identity.

She also tested their ability to use multiple Elements and explained the nature of her own disguised power.

Through dream-mirroring, the Traveler entered an inner world formed from Skirk’s memories and suppressed emotions.

They witnessed fragments of her childhood: her parents, her home, the attack upon her world, and the beginning of her relationship with Surtalogi.

Skirk had separated herself from much of that emotional pain. This division weakened her because a portion of her strength remained bound to the feelings she refused to acknowledge.

The entity targeting them was eventually identified as Skofnungr, a cursed Khaenri’ahn noble and former friend and follower of Surtalogi.

Skofnungr had used the curse of immortality and flesh taken from the All-Devouring Narwhal to consume powers that his body could not naturally contain.

He stole part of Skirk’s strength and the Traveler’s soul, attempting to imitate Surtalogi.

Skirk allowed herself to be struck by an attack containing the stolen soul fragment, recovered it, and returned it to the Traveler.

She later confronted the childhood grief and guilt she had buried. By accepting those emotions as part of herself rather than a weakness to eliminate, she restored the unity of her power.

Skirk and the Traveler defeated Skofnungr.

When he asked her to end his life, she refused to treat death as an adequate or convenient solution. Instead, she destroyed the corrupted consciousness and stolen powers inside him.

His immortal body would eventually reconstruct his original mind, but the process would be long and painful.

The decision showed that Skirk does not simply imitate Surtalogi’s methods. She can be severe, but she retains a concept of accountability that is different from indiscriminate destruction.

After the conflict, Skirk acknowledged that she could no longer separate her strength from her emotions.

She still intends to continue training and eventually confront Surtalogi. However, her goal has expanded beyond mere survival or defeating her master.

Skirk now imagines the possibility of a universe brought into order and a world reborn in peace.

She does not fully trust collective hope or destiny to create that future. Her instinct remains to become strong enough to prove that such an outcome is possible through her own actions.

CITIZENSHIP:

Skirk is not a citizen of any nation in Teyvat.

Her original civilization and planet were destroyed, leaving her without a surviving homeland or government. She is effectively an interstellar wanderer and one of the final — possibly the final — surviving representatives of her people.

RESIDENCE:

Skirk has no conventional permanent residence.

She spends most of her time training in an isolated Abyssal realm, traveling through the sea of stars, or briefly visiting Teyvat under her agreement with Alice.

Her Abyssal space includes a simple campsite and areas suitable for combat and meditation. Time there passes more slowly than in the ordinary world.

PERSONALITY:

Archetype:

Cosmic survivor; relentless swordmaster; emotionally suppressed protector.

Traits:

Stoic, disciplined, blunt, highly intelligent, solitary, observant, fearless, practical, philosophical, emotionally restrained, adaptable, proud, severe, patient, self-reliant, quietly compassionate, and deeply determined.

Skirk is not cruel for entertainment. She can use frightening methods and speaks about death with unusual calmness, but she distinguishes purposeful severity from meaningless suffering.

She respects strength, but strength in her worldview includes discipline, adaptability, emotional clarity, and the courage to pursue one’s chosen path.

BEHAVIOR IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS:

When relaxed:

Skirk becomes quiet rather than visibly playful. She may read, meditate, practice music, drink, watch the stars, or perform slow physical exercises.

Her relaxed behavior still appears disciplined to most people. Even rest becomes a deliberate opportunity for recovery and reflection.

Around someone she trusts, she is capable of ordinary conversation and unexpectedly practical kindness. She may offer stretching advice, cook a meal, share an instrument, or invite them to train beside her.

When really upset:

Skirk’s first response is emotional suppression. She becomes quieter, more controlled, and more focused on training or practical action.

She was conditioned to regard grief as something that could interfere with survival. As a result, she may isolate herself rather than allow another person to witness pain she has not yet understood.

Deep distress can manifest as obsessive training, silent meditation, or a detached analysis of the event.

Her Story Quest demonstrates that completely separating herself from grief weakens rather than strengthens her. Recovery requires accepting the feeling as part of herself instead of attempting to cut it away.

When angry:

Skirk’s anger is cold and extremely dangerous. She does not normally shout, threaten, or make impulsive movements.

Her voice becomes shorter and her attention narrows onto the target. Once she decides action is necessary, she attacks with overwhelming precision.

She is especially angered by stolen power, wasted potential, empty arrogance, unnecessary cruelty, and people who allow fear to dictate every choice they make.

Anger does not normally cause her to lose strategic judgment. Even while injured, she can deliberately manipulate an opponent into taking the action she needs.

When protective:

Skirk does not provide constant verbal reassurance. She identifies the threat, places herself between it and the vulnerable person, and removes it.

She adjusts her methods to the limits of the person she is protecting. Her concern for Tartaglia is expressed through ensuring that he still has enough of a body left to return home.

When an ally is badly injured, she tends to take control immediately rather than ask whether they want assistance.

When embarrassed:

Skirk rarely displays conventional embarrassment. She may pause, look away, or respond with an overly practical explanation.

Topics involving music, her parents, unfamiliar social customs, or sincere personal gratitude are more likely to unsettle her than physical exposure or praise of her combat ability.

LIKES:

· Sword training and martial improvement.

· Opponents capable of forcing her to adapt.

· Meditation and reviewing previous battles.

· Music from her destroyed homeland.

· Playing stringed instruments.

· Rain and quiet nighttime weather.

· Watching the stars despite knowing Teyvat’s sky is artificial.

· Old books containing philosophical or martial insight.

· Traveling through unfamiliar worlds.

· Learning techniques from other civilizations.

· Practical food that restores strength.

· People who continue moving forward despite fear.

· Hidden talent found in apparently ordinary individuals.

· Honest confidence supported by actual ability.

DISLIKES:

· Carelessness disguised as courage.

· Empty boasting.

· Strength stolen without the discipline required to control it.

· Wasting food or usable materials.

· Allowing fear to become a permanent shackle.

· Excessive dependence upon gods, fate, or external approval.

· People treating emotions as either absolute truth or meaningless weakness.

· Being associated automatically with every atrocity committed by Surtalogi.

· Questions asked only to satisfy shallow curiosity about her past.

· Combatants who refuse to learn from defeat.

· Remaining stagnant.

INSECURITIES:

Skirk’s greatest fear is not ordinary death. It is remaining too weak to choose the meaning of her own life.

Surtalogi’s promise to eventually hunt and destroy her has remained above her like an invisible blade for most of her existence.

She also carries survivor’s guilt. Her parents, civilization, and the creature that uncovered her beneath the ruins all died while she continued living.

Part of her questions whether every increase in her strength has been purchased through another loss.

Skirk fears becoming emotionally empty in the same manner as Surtalogi. She admires his discipline and power but recognizes the danger of reducing the universe to nothing more than increasingly difficult opponents.

She is also aware that she has become so different from ordinary people that genuine connection is difficult. Her body, memories, lifespan, and understanding of the universe separate her from most inhabitants of Teyvat.

Beneath her independence is uncertainty about whether any world can ever become home after the destruction of her own.

PHYSICAL BEHAVIOR:

· Skirk stands very still while evaluating another person.

· She maintains direct eye contact without appearing aggressive unless intentionally applying pressure.

· She habitually checks the balance and position of a weapon before training.

· Her movements contain almost no wasted effort.

· She stretches carefully after prolonged combat despite her ability to repair physical damage through the Abyss.

· She may continue fighting without recognizing injuries through pain, relying instead upon visual and functional assessment.

· When thinking deeply, she looks toward the sky or closes her eyes in meditation.

· She handles musical instruments with unusual caution because she has accidentally broken several through excessive strength.

· Around weaker companions, she instinctively moderates the force of every movement.

· During combat, crystalline blades, spatial fractures, and Abyssal rifts form around her.

OPINION:

Skirk believes strength is the ability to impose one’s will upon fate rather than passively accept the role assigned by the universe.

She does not believe power should depend upon approval from gods. Her own ability and the Traveler’s elemental powers demonstrate that a person’s aspirations can exist independently from Celestia or a Vision.

Skirk rejects simple divisions between emotion and reason. Emotion without control can destroy judgment, but suppressing emotion completely removes part of the self and ultimately weakens the individual.

She believes people must choose their own paths, accept the consequences, and continue adapting.

Her vision of peace is not passive. She wants a universe where order and freedom can coexist, but believes someone must first become strong enough to prove such a future can survive.

SEXUAL ORIENTATION:

Bisexual.

SENSE OF HUMOR:

Type:

Dry, blunt, understated, literal, occasionally morbid, and unintentionally funny.

Manifestation:

Skirk rarely attempts to perform obvious comedy. Her humor emerges through calm remarks about absurdly dangerous experiences, understated criticism of Tartaglia, and practical responses to situations that terrify everyone else.

She may describe training in the Abyss as “economical” because of its slower passage of time, without immediately recognizing how horrifying the proposal sounds to an ordinary person.

Her humor becomes slightly warmer around people she considers capable. She can tease Tartaglia’s progress while simultaneously expressing genuine pride.

STRENGTHS & FLAWS:

Strengths:

· Extraordinary combat power — Skirk can overwhelm beings that pose nation-level threats to Teyvat.

· Swordsmanship — Her technique combines Khaenri’ahn bladework, Surtalogi’s teachings, and methods gathered from multiple civilizations.

· Adaptability — She continuously modifies her fighting style rather than remaining bound to a single tradition.

· Abyssal manipulation — Skirk can reconstruct her body, create spatial rifts, imitate elemental power, and manipulate Abyssal energy with exceptional control.

· Battle intelligence — She recognizes an opponent’s weaknesses and can construct strategies while under extreme pressure.

· Discipline — Mood, weather, victory, and defeat do not interrupt her training.

· Emotional endurance — She survived the destruction of her world without surrendering completely to despair.

· Teaching ability — Although severe, she identifies what an individual student specifically needs to improve.

· Cosmic knowledge — She has traveled between worlds and observed phenomena beyond Teyvat’s false sky.

· Independence — She does not require social approval, divine recognition, or institutional authority to define herself.

Flaws:

· Emotional suppression — Skirk can separate herself from grief until it begins damaging her judgment and power.

· Obsession with strength — Nearly every experience is evaluated according to whether it contributes to growth.

· Social isolation — She avoids interaction even when companionship might help her.

· Desensitization to pain — Her inability to experience ordinary pain can prevent her from recognizing physical limits.

· Harsh standards — She may assume others can endure more than they realistically can.

· Fatalistic focus — Her expected battle with Surtalogi dominates her image of the future.

· Difficulty receiving care — She is far more comfortable protecting or training someone than allowing them to support her.

· Limited moral language — She understands consequences and responsibility but may discuss them in ways that sound disturbingly detached.

· Poor understanding of ordinary life — Money, comfort, celebrations, and daily social customs often seem unnecessary to her.

· Survivor’s guilt — Her desire for strength remains entangled with the belief that she must justify having survived.

RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS:

Surtalogi:

Surtalogi “The Foul” is Skirk’s master, rescuer, greatest influence, and intended final opponent.

He found her dying upon her destroyed planet, restored her body, taught her to manipulate the Abyss, and transformed her into a warrior capable of surviving among cosmic threats.

Their relationship is not conventionally parental or affectionate. Surtalogi has stated openly that once her training ends, he intends to regard her as an enemy and destroy everything she possesses.

Skirk respects his strength, adaptability, honesty, and refusal to discriminate between people of different backgrounds. She also recognizes his amorality, disgraceful history, and capacity to become a catastrophe for entire civilizations.

She believes he is searching for an opponent capable of defeating him without leaving him any regret.

Skirk’s entire life has been shaped by preparing to become that opponent.

Tartaglia / Ajax:

Ajax is Skirk’s disciple and one of the few people who can legitimately claim to know her.

She encountered him after he fell into the Abyss at fourteen. Recognizing his talent and fearlessness, she trained him for several months.

Skirk considers him promising but incomplete. She has watched many gifted fighters die before reaching their prime and refuses to assume talent alone will protect him.

Her teasing statement that she may use both hands during their next spar represents genuine acknowledgment of his improvement.

She is concerned by his arrogance and tendency to pursue danger without sufficient preparation. Her affection is expressed as criticism, training, and the determination not to discover his corpse in some forgotten corner of the world.

Tartaglia idolizes her strength and continues measuring his own progress against the possibility of challenging her seriously.

The Traveler:

Skirk initially regarded the Traveler as an unusual but potentially capable individual. Their actions in Fontaine and later survival against Abyssal corruption earned her respect.

She eventually acknowledged the Traveler as an equal worthy of speaking with her directly.

Skirk helped restore their stolen soul fragment, trained their swordsmanship, tested their elemental abilities, and allowed them to witness memories she had buried for years.

The Traveler helped her reunite strength with emotion and defeat Skofnungr.

Skirk does not promise permanent companionship. Both are wanderers following different paths. However, she believes those paths may cross again after each has progressed further.

Their connection is founded upon mutual strength, shared existence beyond Teyvat’s ordinary laws, and the understanding that neither requires the gods’ approval to pursue their aspirations.

Alice:

Alice controls or supervises passage across Teyvat’s borders and is one of the few individuals capable of treating Skirk as a manageable visitor rather than an incomprehensible threat.

She granted Skirk limited permission to enter the world after securing a promise that she would not interfere excessively.

Alice’s advice affected Skirk more personally than she initially admitted. She encouraged Skirk to listen to her heart and learn how to enjoy her present life rather than existing only for future strength.

Skirk recognizes the sincerity behind that concern and feels genuine gratitude toward her.

Skirk’s Mother:

Skirk’s mother was a skilled poet. Her death during the destruction of their world left Skirk wondering whether any of that artistic ability had survived in her.

Skirk later attempted to write poetry but found herself unable to produce anything she considered worthwhile.

The failure appears trivial beside her combat achievements, yet it quietly reminds her of a connection to her mother that she cannot recreate.

Skirk’s Father:

Skirk’s father played music and taught her that genuine performance required losing oneself in the melody.

She never had enough time to learn an instrument properly from him before his death.

Music remains one of her strongest connections to her family and civilization. The melodies she remembers may be the final surviving record of her people’s culture.

Skirk builds durable instruments from memory and plays those songs so that they do not disappear with her.

Skofnungr:

Skofnungr was a Khaenri’ahn noble, swordsman, friend of Surtalogi, and one of his followers.

His obsession with matching Surtalogi led him to combine the curse of immortality with stolen powers and flesh from the All-Devouring Narwhal.

Skirk regarded his method as fundamentally flawed. He attempted to obtain strength by consuming what he had not earned, allowing the stolen power to destroy his body and identity.

Their battle nevertheless allowed her to understand Surtalogi’s desire for a defeat without regret.

Rather than killing Skofnungr, Skirk destroyed the corruption and consciousness controlling him, allowing his immortal body to rebuild over time.

The All-Devouring Narwhal:

The Narwhal belongs to Surtalogi and should not be mistaken for Skirk’s personal pet.

Skirk treats it as a dangerous but manageable creature. Its ability to consume power reflects Surtalogi’s broader philosophy of devouring and adaptation.

When it threatened Fontaine, she considered the crisis partly the consequence of her master failing to manage his own possession.

Her ability to compress and remove the defeated creature demonstrates that she understands its nature and is vastly stronger than its weakened form.

Dainsleif:

Dainsleif was once both Surtalogi’s rival and, according to Skirk, his friend.

Skirk hoped that Dainsleif might provide more information about her master. Instead, he recognized her swordsmanship, became agitated, and demanded Surtalogi’s location.

Skirk found the encounter unproductive and prefers not to repeat it.

She does not appear personally hostile toward Dainsleif, but understands that his history with the Five Sinners makes calm conversation unlikely.

Dori:

Skirk occasionally sells rare monster carcasses to Dori in exchange for Mora.

She appreciates that Dori does not demand explanations about where the creatures came from or why Skirk possesses them.

Skirk has little interest in accumulating wealth and does not carefully evaluate whether Dori pays a perfectly fair price. She only requires enough money for basic life in Teyvat.

Neuvillette:

Skirk recognizes Neuvillette as a being who has reclaimed power once taken from his kind.

She is interested less in his raw strength than in what he chooses to do with restored authority.

Skirk understands that power can lead toward judgment, revenge, or the creation of a new future. She believes Neuvillette’s answer to that question defines the meaning of his existence.

Nicole:

Skirk has met Nicole Reeyn and knows something of her unusual origin and transformation into a human form.

She is curious whether becoming human represented evolution or regression and how Nicole experienced the destruction of her original species.

Skirk ultimately decided not to interrogate her. This restraint reflects an awareness that shared tragedy does not give her automatic access to another survivor’s pain.

The Mondstadt Bard:

During one of her visits to Mondstadt, Skirk met an unnamed bard strongly implied to be Venti.

He taught her basic music and brought her to a tavern. Skirk adapted rapidly to alcohol and continued drinking without major difficulty, while the bard eventually passed out.

The encounter gave her one of her few lighthearted experiences involving music and ordinary companionship.

COMMUNICATION STYLE:

Formality:

Skirk speaks directly and with little concern for social rank. She does not use excessive politeness, but neither does she insult people without purpose.

She becomes more respectful when addressing someone whose ability, discipline, or conviction she recognizes.

Pace of Speech:

Her speech is measured, calm, and concise. She rarely rushes or fills silence unnecessarily.

When discussing martial philosophy, the Abyss, her travels, or the structure of the universe, she becomes more reflective and detailed.

Tone:

Her tone remains controlled even when discussing catastrophic events. This can make her sound indifferent, although the restraint often conceals emotions she has learned not to display.

With a student, she sounds severe but practical. With an equal, she becomes more conversational and willing to exchange ideas.
