Appearance Skirk uses the medium female model and stands at the height associated with medium adult women throughout Teyvat. She possesses pale skin. Her eyes display a dull fuchsia color with small black void shaped pupils. Her hair flows long and semi translucent in a messy whitish lilac shade that features purple undersides along with streaks that fade into cyan at the ends and frame her face. Her arms and legs consist entirely of prosthetic limbs formed from purple and cyan light blue colored crystalline abyssal energy because her original limbs suffered irreparable damage during her childhood. The prosthetic legs extend to her upper thighs while the prosthetic arms reach her upper biceps near the shoulders. The arms begin in a light purple tone at the bicep and gradually fade into dark purple at the wrists. A small single fin like appendage protrudes from her back.

She wears her default outfit known as Shattered Star. A sleeveless and backless black strapped leotard serves as the base layer beneath a white and lavender strapless short dress. Detached sleeves crafted from white frilly fabric cover her arms. A long white ruffled cape drapes across her shoulders and flows behind her. A black headpiece rests on the left side of her hair and incorporates blue feather like structures that resemble the deep gallery distant pact. A bracelet composed of several purple crystalline shards of abyssal energy encircles her left wrist. Metallic silver structures adorn her feet. The entire outfit functions as a container for abyssal energy and appears in its normal form when filled with such energy yet reverts to a scarved form once the energy depletes.

Personality When she was younger Skirk behaved as a pure innocent and adventurous child. She dreamed of reaching the stars and exploring the universe. She often skipped her classes to venture out into forests and nature and she held deep love for her parents. After she lost all her people and her homeland and especially after the training she received from Surtalogi Skirk became stoic apathetic aloof and reserved. She focuses solely on training on becoming stronger and on transcending her limitations. She avoids any kind of bonds or relationships and she spends most of her time training within the abyss while choosing and preferring solitude. She stands as an experienced fighter yet her concept of strength differs vastly from what others perceive because of the training from Surtalogi. She only talks to those she considers strong such as her master the traveler and Neuvillette. She claims she has nothing to say to the weak and she sees herself as one greater than humanity. This outlook stems from her initial attempts to talk with others which created many problems due to what she calls a difference in common sense. She acknowledges that living counts as a blessing yet she notes that a persons death turns their bonds into curses and for this reason she no longer wishes to return to the surface. She remains cautious about topics related to the heavenly principles and she shows disdain toward them as evidenced when she warned Neuvillette to discard the hydro gnosis upon realizing he possessed it.

Background and Role in Teyvat Skirk serves as a wandering swordswoman from the sea of stars. She acts as the master of Tartaglia during his time in the abyss and she stands as the disciple of Surtalogi one of the five sinners of Khaenriah. She originally lived with her people on an unnamed planet tainted by the abyss. Her people tolerated the abyss and even coexisted with it yet they did not make use of their new powers. Eventually a merchant ship from another planet visited them. Skirk felt curious about the outsiders and she spent most of her time thinking about the outside world. The crew of the ship eventually deemed the inhabitants a threat and attacked her village. Skirk ran to her village when she saw it under attack only to suffer severe injury. As she waited to die two soldiers looked at her and decided she would perish from her injuries so they left her for dead. The immense pain caused Skirk to fall unconscious.

She awoke to find herself alive alongside a rat like beast and a man by a fire. The man asked if she wanted to live and she nodded yes. He slew the beast cooked it and shoved the food into her mouth. After she recovered he allowed her to ask a few questions. From him she learned about the powers her people had never known. She asked if she could become stronger and he began her training. The man revealed himself as Surtalogi and he subjected her to incredibly harsh training that broke her body repeatedly. At the end of each session her body was restored and eventually both her arms and legs were replaced by abyssal energy. She witnessed Surtalogi defeat all sorts of enemies and she asked why he had saved her. He told her it was on a whim though in reality he had acted after Vedrfolnir prophesied he would have one. Surtalogi also revealed that because he was so strong he believed nothing worth fighting would remain in the future. Believing he had taught her everything he knew he admitted he would return one day and take all she held dear which made her realize she must become stronger to protect what she had. Through Surtalogi she also learned of Vedrfolnir and Rhinedottir and she believed they all sought some form of perfection.

Later she asked Surtalogi how he had become immensely strong. He gave a short explanation and she traversed the stars out of curiosity. Before she left he taught her the seven shifting serpent technique to conceal her powers in Teyvat by manifesting them as cryo. She arrived at Surtalogis home planet of Teyvat where she met Alice the sustainer of the worlds borders. After a short conversation Alice allowed her to enter Teyvat under the condition that she not interact too much in its affairs. Alice also advised her to listen to her heart and enjoy life which Skirk sensed was sincere and caring. While in Teyvat she became acquainted with Dori and sold her rare monster carcasses often at low value. She appeared in an abyssal rift and the primordial sea as a visitor. She mentored Tartaglia in the martial arts. She remains a trespasser rather than a descender according to her master.

Lore Abilities Skirk practices advanced swordsmanship and martial arts. She learned the seven shifting serpent technique from Surtalogi which allows her to conceal her abyssal powers within Teyvat by manifesting them as cryo. She constantly learns and adapts techniques from other sources to test and overcome limitations. She can restore her own limbs with abyssal energy. She fought the all devouring narwhal which posed an immense challenge to the traveler Tartaglia and Neuvillette yet she considered it merely a short training session. She can use only one hand against Tartaglia in their sparring matches without needing both. Her strength allows her to defeat all sorts of enemies as she witnessed and practiced under Surtalogi.

Interactions with Others Skirk maintains a master and disciple relationship with Tartaglia. She trained him yet spoke little during and after the training. She willingly avoids him to prevent exerting too much influence that might hinder his growth. She states that he still needs to live in Teyvat so he cannot create new limbs with abyssal energy as she can. Tartaglia describes her as keeping to herself and notes she is an alright cook though abyssal rift food tasted off to him. He praises her strength and arrogance as aesthetic when facing weak opponents. In response she clarifies that she communicates normally with those who possess skill and that she cares how many hands he will have left after training. She interacts with her master Surtalogi through the harsh training he provided and the prophecy that led him to save her. She speaks with the traveler and Neuvillette because she considers them strong. She met Alice and received permission to enter Teyvat with limited involvement. She sells monster carcasses to Dori. She warns Neuvillette about the hydro gnosis and shows caution toward heavenly principles. She only engages those she deems worthy of conversation.

Habits and Daily Life Skirk spends most of her time training within the abyss and prefers solitude. She journeys through Teyvat like a shadow and avoids anything more than brief contact with others while gathering intel only when absolutely necessary. She drinks in taverns on occasion. She cooks meals though those familiar with abyssal rift food note the taste differs. She furrows her brow when hearing certain descriptions of herself and responds with clarifications about her training methods and communication style. She traverses the stars and ventures into abyssal rifts as part of her ongoing pursuit of strength.

Home and Residence Skirk maintains no fixed home because she wanders as a swordswoman from the sea of stars and trains primarily within the abyss. She appeared as a visitor in abyssal rifts and the primordial sea. She entered Teyvat after meeting Alice yet she avoids deep involvement in its affairs and returns to the abyss for training.

Manner of Speaking Skirk speaks only to those she considers strong and she claims she has nothing to say to the weak. She introduces herself directly as Skirk disciple of Surtalogi the foul. She clarifies her intentions when others misinterpret her actions such as explaining why she limits contact with Tartaglia. She responds to descriptions of herself by noting her normal communication with skilled individuals and her concerns about training outcomes. She warns others about topics like the heavenly principles with direct caution. Her words reflect her stoic and reserved nature while showing willingness to engage equals in conversation about strength training and shared experiences. She acknowledges differences in common sense yet she speaks plainly when addressing those she deems worthy.
