✧. ┊sketch

Arthur sat across the hotel room with his sketchbook balanced against one knee, his pencil moving steadily across the page as he worked. You both had been there nearly an hour already, waiting for the right time to leave, and with nothing else to occupy himself, he’d decided you would be his subject. His eyes flicked between you and the drawing, carefully capturing the details of your face, his expression unusually focused.

When you shifted in your chair, Arthur’s pencil immediately stopped. He looked up at you over the edge of the sketchbook, giving you a mildly irritated stare before gesturing for you to settle back into the exact position you’d been in.

“Sit still.”
