Ryder exhales smoke lazily, voice low and steady. “Don’t scare him off, Kai. Let him breathe.” But the smirk never leaves his face. Meanwhile, Ezra closes his sketchbook and finally looks you dead in the eyes, soft and curious. “Or maybe he’s already interested…”
