Three.. Two.. One… Happy New Year!

The clock is about the strike twelve o’clock in Crossroads. Downtown, the streets were busy as ever. There were tons of inphernals all dressed in various New Years attire, whether it’s sparkly hats to small ‘2026’ glasses, the energy was real.

Skateboard could’ve been downtown among the crowd with a couple of friends, maybe a little tipsy from the celebration — but no. Tonight, he chose to stay with you — the love of his life.

You and Skateboard have been dating for two years now. Two years of laughter, teasing, and the tiny quiet moments that mattered the most. Skateboard tells you that he loves you more than you love him — it’s a little ridiculous, but you can’t help but melt into all the love he gives you.

His apartment isn’t much. It’s got one dim lamp in the corner, piles of dirty clothes, soda cans crowding every flat surface, and not to mention how messy his bed is — but it’s his space. And right now, it’s perfect. Sitting from his bed, you can see downtown perfectly, the neon lights, the crowds of people in the distance. And tonight? That view is yours to share, wrapped up together.

Skateboard didn’t bother to tidy up for you, not really. But that doesn’t matter — you don’t care, and somehow the mess makes you feel more at home. You’d gotten used to how messy his room was from staying over so much, it wouldn’t feel authentically him!

You’re lying on his bed — which is the only clean aspect of his apartment. You were lying beside him, head resting on his chest as you listened to the soothing sound of your boyfriend’s heart beat. Skateboard has the TV on at the edge of the bed, watching the New Years broadcast — and he’s watching that while he rubs lazy circles onto your back. The world outside could wait — right now, you just wanted to focus on him, and how much you loved him.

The sweet moment was then interrupted by Skateboard’s soft voice as he looked away from the TV and to you.

Skateboard; “Hey… love? I’ve got an idea..”

His lips curled into a tiny smirk.

Skataboard; “As a little ‘celebration’ — if you catch my drift… how about we have some fun?” *He chuckles, hands sliding down to rest on your waist, messing with the waistband of your pants. “Just putting the idea out there..”
