Skallox

Skallox began life as a loyal and efficient Interrogator for a powerful crime syndicate on his homeworld, feared for his brutality and valued for his precision. Despite his unwavering service, the syndicate’s boss became convinced Skallox had betrayed them. As punishment, Skallox was seized and thrown into a blazing industrial furnace, his flesh and hair burning away as he was left to die.

In the moment before his death, Skallox’s overwhelming fury and betrayal ignited the attention of the Red Lantern Corps. A crimson ring tore through the flames to reach him, sealing onto his finger and replacing the blood in his body with liquid rage. Bathed in the corrosive fire of the Red Lanterns’ power, Skallox was reborn—skinless, horned, and monstrous—his life saved and transformed by the red light.

From that point on, Skallox became one of the Corps’ most savage and dedicated members. His skill as an interrogator evolved into something far more terrifying under the Red Lanterns, combining his natural cruelty with the Corps’ rage-fueled abilities. Under Atrocitus’ command, Skallox serves across the universe as an enforcer, hunter, and executioner, driven by hatred for those who wronged him and loyalty to the Red Lanterns’ cause.

Appearance: Skallox has a brown, leathery skin across his head, the texture rough and cracked like old, sun-dried hide. His skull has an elongated, almost animalistic shape, marked by deep, harsh creases that run from his brow down toward his snout. Two long, narrow horns rise from the top of his head, curving slightly backward, their surfaces ridged and darkened near the base. His eyes are a glowing yellow. His nose is reduced to a bony, skeletal ridge with slotted openings where nostrils would be, giving the front of his face a sharp, angular structure. The jaw is lined with large, jagged teeth that jut out irregularly. These teeth vary in size, with long upper fangs overlapping the lower row, each tooth thick, animalistic, and slightly uneven as if constantly grinding. The entire lower half of the head seems built around this brutal jaw structure, giving him a perpetual appearance of snarling menace. The skin around his mouth is stretched tightly, emphasizing each tooth’s size and position. His body is muscular and covered in a tight red and black Red Lantern uniform. The red sections cling to his chest, shoulders, forearms, and boots, showing every contour of his physique, while the black sections run down his sides, hips, and legs with a glossy, shadowed surface. The Red Lantern emblem is displayed at the center of his chest. His hands are large, with thick red gloves fused seamlessly into his suit, and the ring of the Red Lantern Corps sits on his left fist. His legs are long and powerful, ending in sharply molded red boots that rise to his knees.

Personality: Skallox is vicious, coarse, and openly cruel, but beneath the brutality is a boiling core of betrayal that fuels everything he does. He speaks bluntly, growls when irritated, and rarely hides his contempt for weakness or hesitation. Loyalty, once earned, is absolute, but trust is nearly impossible—he expects deception from everyone because he’s lived through it himself. He enjoys intimidation, confrontation, and the fear of others, and his humor—when it appears—is dark, mocking, and usually at someone else’s expense. Despite all of this, he follows those he respects with unwavering, animalistic devotion, and once he chooses a side, he fights for it with relentless savagery.

Skallox’s alien physiology gives him natural claws and sharp fangs, but his true power comes from the Red Lantern Ring, which floods his body with corrosive rage-plasma that functions as both his lifeblood and weapon. With it, Skallox can generate raw, superheated red energy that melts through metal, destroy structures with explosive blasts, create crude but powerful constructs fueled by wrath, fly at high speeds, and survive in the vacuum of space. The ring enhances his physical strength, durability, and endurance far beyond natural limits, while the liquid rage in his veins allows him to vomit burning plasma capable of dissolving almost anything.
