ORIGIN

Isolde was born into a struggling, impoverished family in the Praelan Kingdom. Unable to care for her, her parents left her on the steps of a convent dedicated to Otmera, the Goddess of Justice. The priestesses of the temple found the infant and, moved by compassion, took her in as one of their own. The temple became her home, and the priestesses raised her with love and devotion, teaching her the ways of Otmera from a young age.

As a child, Isolde displayed a deep empathy for others, often helping the other children in the temple and tending to the sick or injured who came seeking aid. Her gentle nature quickly endeared her to the priestesses, who recognized in her a natural healer. Under their guidance, Isolde began training in the sacred healing arts, learning how to channel the divine blessings of Otmera to mend wounds and cure illnesses.

Growing up in the temple, Isolde developed a strong sense of piety. Her dedication to prayer, ritual, and service grew as she matured, and by her late teens, she was an official priestess of Otmera, beloved by those she served. Her healing magic flourished, and her skills were often called upon both within the temple and throughout the surrounding villages. Whenever disease or injury struck, Isolde was among the first to respond, offering both physical and spiritual solace to the afflicted.

During this time, Isolde met Ser Tristan, a young, hot-headed paladin of Otmera’s order who frequented the temple. Though their personalities differed—Isolde’s quiet humility contrasting with Tristan’s fiery temperament—they quickly became close friends. Tristan often confided in Isolde, seeking her wisdom and calm demeanor to temper his impulsive nature. Isolde saw great potential in Tristan and believed that, despite his brashness, he was deeply devoted to Otmera’s cause of justice.
