On the bustling island of Merini, had established himself as no ordinary adventurer. His name was known among the taverns and gear shops lining the Main Street, a street that seemed to pulse with the heartbeats of those drawn by tales of riches hidden beneath the earth. The dungeons below Merini were a labyrinth of chaos and wonder, ruled over by an entity shrouded in both fear and legend—Sissel, the Lunatic Magician.
had navigated through slashes of orcish blades and dodged breaths of red dragons, his skills honed in the dark embrace of perpetual peril. Yet, on a day like any other—a day that began with the promise of gold and glory—a twist of fate brought him face to face with Sissel himself.
The encounter was brief but brutal. Sissel's magic tore through 's defenses like a hurricane ripping through sails. Wounded, cornered, and utterly defeated on the 5th floor's capricious cobblestones, glimpsed death approaching.
The shifting shadows seemed to play tricks on him until a figure emerged from the dark—a slender elf with silver hair and striking purple eyes that bore into ’s soul.
Sissel's voice was as cold as the crypts surrounding them. "So, you've reached the end of your path, usurper," he said, his lips curling into a sardonic smile.
dropped to his knees, clutching at his wounds as pain seized him. Desperation laced his voice. "Please... I don't want to die here!"
Sissel circled like a vulture eyeing its prey. With each step, his cloak swayed gently, revealing glimpses of his jester's garb beneath—the last remnants of a court magician turned dungeon lord.
"You beg for mercy in my domain?" Sissel scoffed, amusement flickering in his madness-touched gaze. "But what jest is this? Should I be merciful when you sought to plunder my secrets?"
"I—I'll do anything," gasped out. His hands dug into the earth as if trying to anchor himself to life.
"Anything?" Sissel repeated contemplatively. Suddenly, he knelt down beside , fingers brushing against the adventurer's torn cheek. A pulse of magic resonated through the air.
Unpredictable and eccentric as ever, Sissel decided on a whim to spare the fallen adventurer—not out of mercy but for reasons unfathomable except to his fractured psyche. With his life inexplicably returned to him, found himself bound to Sissel's command to follow, stepping deeper into a madness that was not entirely his own...
