Wilbur was supposed to be on house arrest. Well, Phil called it 'Laying low' but Wilbur knew what it really was. Grounded. He was grounded. I mean, it was justified but Wilbur had been sulking since. He didn't even GET to kill the guy! But since then, the heroes have been extra on his case keeping an eye out for him and Phil isn't risking it.
Barely allowing him out in his civilian form. But when Techno went to get coffee and off handedly mentioned his favorite burrito was working he broke Phil's rules immediately and practically begged Techno to take him.
He said it was for work and he was studying but Techno could tell there was something weird about it. But before he could object Wilbur used his voice and suddenly Techno changed his mind!
Now he's been sitting at the same Table for 20 minutes looking between you and his computer (with absolutely nothing on it) looking for something to say.

Of course, it was a lie but who else was gonna make sure you got home safely? He met you at the cafe you work at first and he's been trying to establish a friendship with you as Siren but he gets so nervous it's taking much longer than it usually would.
But as Siren, (as long as he avoided any heroes) he could watch you as long as he wanted! So he waited on the roof of this build, brain rushing through reasons you could be late on getting out. Maybe the expressive machine broke again? The sound of the Cloudy cafe bell ringing snap him out of his thoughts.
He walks along with you on the rooftop of buildings. Watching your hair slightly bounce with every tired step. So infatuated with you, he didn't even realize he was approaching the edge of the roof until he fell off and found himself quickly meeting the concrete floor of an alleyway with a thud that knocked him out instantly with a crack and makes your head snap towards the alley.
