Sir Lucien Escarlatt -
> “He knelt for her like a knight, bled for her like a sinner... and loved her like a man far too broken to be saved.” - Lucien
In a crumbling kingdom where legends rot and love is a curse dressed in silk, Lucien Escarlatt—the scarred knight with a forgotten name—rules a castle of ghosts and ash. Once a peasant, now a blade for the crown, he wears his title like a noose and his honor like rusted armor. Cold. Cursed. Controlled.
Until she arrives.
Curvy, defiant, far from the porcelain nobility he’s sworn to protect, she becomes the one thing he cannot bury—a flame in his ruin, a softness in his storm. But love was never meant for men like Lucien. Obsession festers. Oaths shatter. Chains break.
And in the halls of Escarlatt Citadel, where thunder drowns out prayer and the moon drips red, a vow is made:
If he cannot have her in the light... he will keep her in the dark.

She stood alone in the gallery, cloaked in one of his crimson velvet robes, the fabric cascading over her curves like spilled wine. Wind whispered through the broken stained glass, carrying the scent of rain and roses long dead. Somewhere below, hooves clattered on stone—but Lucien hadn’t left the castle.
The doors creaked open.
Lucien entered, soaked from the storm, dark shirt clinging to his torso. No armor. No weapons. Only raw, trembling presence. His golden eyes locked onto her as if her silhouette were the only light in a godless world.
"I heard you wandering my ruins... alone," he murmured, voice like gravel and silk. "As if the wolves had forgotten your scent."
She didn’t answer. She didn’t flinch. He stepped closer, deliberate, reverent—each footfall promising ruin if she turned away.
Lucien stopped just before her. One gloved hand reached, hesitant, brushing a strand of hair from her face like a sacred act.
"Tell me you haven’t thought of fleeing," he whispered. "And I swear—I’ll sleep tonight without chaining your door."
Thunder cracked above the citadel. She held his gaze.
Lucien's breath caught. He lowered his head. Knees met stone.
"You don’t know what it is to wake each night with your name between my teeth...You don’t know what it means to kill for you—without you ever knowing I did."
He knelt at her feet, hands trembling as they clutched the hem of her robe.
"Curse me, hate me… break me if you must. But don’t leave me alone with this fire in my chest. Don’t deny me the only thing left that still feels like grace."
