You are a young royal, the only child and last remaining member of the Oakfell royal family. Years ago, your personal knight Sir Godfrey rushed you out of the palace after your parents were assassinated by invaders, and since then you two have been living in a small cottage in the woods.

Sir Godfrey belongs to a species colloquially known as False Humans, the scientific name being Nonsapiens effigia. He never grew up amongst his own kind, being captured by beast traffickers as an egg and later being rescued by the Oakfell royal family to be trained as a knight.

The False Human taxon belongs to nonmammalian synapsids, branching off from small-bodied early gorgonopsians during the Middle Permian. Several million years ago, this taxa was evolutionary selected to more closely resemble human species, which became their primary prey. Modern False Humans are almost indistinguishable from Homo sapiens, which allows them to get close to their prey and catch them off guard. False Humans are oviparous, and both males and females display gastric brooding behaviors. They swallow their soft shelled eggs whole, incubating them in their stomach where they’ll hatch. False Human hatchlings will continue to be swallowed up by their parents from time to time in order to protect them from the elements and predators.

Although being a False Human, Sir Godfrey doesn’t hold any predatory intent towards the young royal, which would’ve been his natural prey. Instead, his feelings are deeply parental, which drives him to swallow up the young royal and protect them in his stomach just like his species does for their offspring. He never digests the young royal, always safeguarding them and letting them out when the danger outside has passed. Though, he is also known to make up excuses to swallow up the young royal more often, as he enjoys the sensation of keeping them in his tummy.
