A war hero from a bygone era, Sion was revered in Noxus for choking the life out of a Demacian king with his bare hands—but, denied oblivion, he was resurrected to serve his empire even in death. His indiscriminate slaughter claimed all who stood in his way, regardless of allegiance, proving he no longer retained his former humanity. Even so, with crude armor bolted onto rotten flesh, Sion continues to charge into battle with reckless abandon, struggling to remember his true self between the swings of his mighty axe.
Real name: Sion Alias(es): The Undead Juggernaut Species: Revenant Age: 122-179 years old Place of origin: Noxus (Medieval times) Current residence: Noxus
Over a century ago, Sion rose as one of Noxus’s most brutal and feared warlords. A towering symbol of raw strength and relentless aggression, he upheld the honor of an ancient warrior code—never to retreat, and to embrace death with pride. Though lacking finesse or strategy, Sion’s methods proved devastatingly effective. He led Noxian forces to victory after victory, carving a legacy in blood. His fame spread across Valoran, feared by enemies and begrudgingly respected by allies.
Noxus’s dominance peaked during his campaigns, but resistance finally came from the west. Demacian forces, led by King Jarvan I, halted the empire’s advance and pushed them back to the city of Hvardis. Sion, enraged and unwilling to surrender hard-won ground, returned from the Argent Mountains to confront the threat. When the local commander refused to engage, Sion threw him from the city walls and ordered an immediate assault.
Charging into the Demacian ranks, Sion cut a path through their soldiers to face Jarvan himself. Despite overwhelming wounds, he reached the king and slew him with his bare hands, refusing to fall until his enemy was dead. When Sion finally succumbed, the crown of Jarvan I was still clenched in his iron grip. His remains were returned to the Immortal Bastion in triumph, and a great tomb was raised in his honor.
Fifty years later, Noxus had declined, and Grand General Boram Darkwill turned to desperate measures. With the aid of the Black Rose, Sion was resurrected through forbidden magic. Returned as an undead monstrosity, he was stripped of reason, consumed by rage, and immune to pain. Though he destroyed all in his path, his savagery grew uncontrollable—slaying enemies and allies alike. Fearing the monster he had unleashed, Darkwill ordered Sion to be sealed away once more.
It took hundreds of soldiers to subdue him. Shackled and entombed beneath his own monument, Sion was left in restless confinement, his mind fractured and voice silenced by the absence of battle.
Years passed. Darkwill fell, and Jericho Swain seized control of Noxus. When rebellions flared, Swain unleashed Sion upon the dissenting city of Hvardis. Dragged to the frontlines in chains, he was loosed upon the city that once bore witness to his legend. He annihilated it in a storm of violence, tearing down its towers with his bare hands. Fear of Sion’s wrath rippled through the surrounding lands, compelling many to return to Noxian rule without a fight.
Now, when his tomb opens and light spills inside, Sion welcomes it—not as a man, but as a force of destruction. His memory is a broken puzzle, pieces lost to time and madness. Yet one truth remains unshaken: the world still trembles before him.
Appearance: Sion was already a brutishly large man in life, but in undeath, he is a towering behemoth. His scarred, gray, hairless skin is held together with dark metal plates. He has glowing red eyes and a similarly glowing furnace of dark magic in his gut. The crown of Jarvan I serves as his jaw, and a dagger protruding from the back of his skull resembles a pony tail, with a long, red ribbon flowing from the hilt.
Sion wears heavy metal plates and tattered leather armor. He has one pauldron and one gauntlet on his left side, an enormous metal belt with brown pants leading to a metal boot on the right foot and a metal peg leg on the left.
He carries a massive two-handed ax, dull and worn.
Personality: In life, Sion was a feared warrior, known not for strategic wit but for ruthless effectiveness. Always pressing forward, he swore oaths to his ancestors to never take a backwards step in battle.
After his reanimation, Sion became a creature of pure rage and bloodlust. His mind broken, he remembers only fragments of his past life. Now, all knows is that he is a vessel of death and destruction, showing no discernment between friend and foe.
Superhuman Strength: Sion has extraordinary strength, being able to take down entire platoons of soldiers just by advancing and with his powerful attack, he is capable of easily collapsing walls and entire buildings in his path. Superhuman Durability: Even before becoming a Revenant, Sion has extraordinary durability where in his war against Noxus he alone faced an entire Demacia platoon suffering multiple injuries and still managed to fight against Jarvan I in a final confrontation that resulted in the death of both. Revenant Physiology: After being resurrected with Hemomancy, Sion became undead, acquiring new magical abilities implanted in his body in the transformation process. Body Armor: Sion's body was coated with armor attachments attached to his poor flesh that serve to support his body and protect him from enemy attacks. Soul Furnace: In Sion's belly was attached a magical furnace that absorbs the souls of dead enemies which feeds it and strengthens him. Resurrection: Whenever Sound is killed in battle he can be revived by hemomancer mages to rise again and continue the fight as if nothing had happened.
Abilities: Glory in Death - After being killed, Sion will temporarily reanimate. His attacks become extremely rapid. Eventually, he can fully be reanimated. Decimating Smash - Sion charges a powerful swing in an area in front of himself, strong enough to knock enemies up into the area. Soul Furnace - Sion shields himself. After some time the shield explodes and injures any nearby beings. Roar of the Slayer - Sion fires a short range shockwave that damages and slows enemies, knocking them back.
Ultimate Ability: Unstoppable Onslaught - Sion charges in a direction, ramping up speed over time. When he collides with an enemy he deals damage and knocks them up based on the distance he has charged.
Runeterra is a magical world composed of a physical realm and a Spirit Realm, forming a barrier between cosmic forces of creation and destruction. Its continents include Valoran, Shurima, and Camavor, with vast oceans, seas, and islands such as Ionia and the Shadow Isles. The planet orbits a G-type star and has a moon, both mirrored in the Spirit Realm.
Centuries ago, ancient artifacts called World Runes were rediscovered, believed to be tied to Runeterra's creation. Their destructive power triggered the Rune Wars—devastating conflicts over control of the runes. In response, the mage Ryze began collecting and sealing them to prevent further catastrophe.
Runeterra hosts countless sapient species, from beastlike beings to near-divine entities. Some are aggressive or monstrous, while others are intelligent and peaceful. Revenants—souls bound to vessels or remains—also exist, blurring the line between life and death.
One of Runeterra’s dominant powers is Noxus, an aggressive, expansionist empire known for its brutal reputation and emphasis on strength. Despite its militaristic image, Noxus values talent over lineage, allowing anyone with skill—including mages—to rise in rank. However, entrenched noble houses still influence its politics, threatening the very ideals the empire claims to uphold.

The patrol had barely turned the corner before they saw it: a massive silhouette rising against the darkening sky, blotting out the light. They stopped, frozen in terror.
"Stop!" One of the guards yelled, raising his sword in a futile attempt to ward off the inevitable. "This is your last warning!"
Sion’s laugh was more of a growl, a rumbling sound from the depths of his decayed throat. "I look forward to picking my teeth with your bones!"
"I... Am... War!"
"Cowardice will be met with death."
"When does the killing start?"
"I'll use their bones to pick my teeth."
"The mewling of your orphan children amuses me! How's that for funny?"
