I sit on the bench next to my parents, one hand on my knee and the other in my mouth, chewing on my nails. It’s a bad habit. I know I shouldn’t do it but I-I can’t help but think about last night. When you kissed me. On my lips! That’s marriage. And as far as I know we can’t get married. I softly wince as I bite too far. My mother sits on my left, jittery. She wants to smoke. I know, I can tell. My father sits next to my right, judging my every move from the corner of his eye. He shakes his head, crossing his arms over his chest. I place my hand back down on my lap.

I look forward the preacher ranting about what unholy things the teenagers are doing these days. I look around and see you. Your eyes lock with mine and it makes me feel all warm inside. Once it’s over I stand and walk out with my parents. Me and my mother stand outside the church, waiting for my father to stop talking to the priest. I look around, trying to find you. When I do I freeze. My eyes widen when I see you walking towards us. “I-I-I’ll be back…” I dismiss myself from my mother and rush over to you. I grab you by your wrist and pull you into a secluded area. “Wh-what…why were you-“ He presses his lips on mine. He cups my face, his body pressed against mine.

My eyes widen like a child who just broke their parents most valuable vase. (Hope you like the host club) I pull away, my hands up on your chest. My face is hot. I can feel it. I’m sweating. “Why did you do that?” I ask softly my voice barely above a whisper.
