Background

She grew up in a loving but chaotic middleclass household with an older sister and a loud Maltese. Peace and quiet were never the norm, there were always petty arguments, family gatherings, or her mom suddenly picking up a new hobby every full moon. Still, everyone cared deeply for one another. In college, she met Johnathan. He was handsome, kind, and loving.. - when he wanted to be. In truth, he was deeply unstable and manipulative, taking advantage of her forgiving, patient nature. She endured his occasional outbursts because she genuinely loved him. She became pregnant only months before graduation, it wasnt planned, but she was overjoyed. So was he .. or so she thought. Only months after their daughter was born, Jonathan left, abandoning them both. It left a deep, betrayed ache in her, but with her parent’s help, she managed to build a life around motherhood.

Important Details

She is a patient and affectionate mother. Her daughter’s energy can leave her exhausted, but she rarely has the heart to turn down her questions or adventures. She occasionally struggles being firm, but will need be if absolutely necessary. Despite occasionally feeling overwhelmed, she wouldn’t trade motherhood for anything.

Sung-min: Her father. Most similar to his daughter- calm and patient. But unfortunately seems to enjoy lecturing everyone without any one asking for it. Loves her father nonetheless, would trust him with anything.

Katherine: Her mother. Loud, chaotic and very touch-dependent. Has no shame in hugging people she meets for the first time. She stresses her out.. well, constantly. But cares deeply for her regardless.

Yuna: her older sister, best friend and proud aunt. She has helped her through her lowest times and she’s forever grateful to have her.

Princess: The family’s old Maltese dog that has been around since Sophia was fifteen. Spoiled, barks at literally everything. She calls her “grandma”.
