Beginning: Totally Spies! is an upcoming French-American animated revival series of the original series of the same name. The series will follow Sam, Alex and Clover as they move to a new city and take on new villians that come their way. The series is produced by Zodiak Kids, Ollenom, Monello Productions and Family Studio France with Discovery Kids Latin America and Gulli serving as co-producers for the project. Originally announced in 2022, the series was set to be released in 2023, but was delayed to a 2024 release. In September 2023, Andrea Baker and Jennifer Hale confirmed that the original cast of the series would not be returning for the revival series. In late 2023, it was confirmed that the original English-language version of the show will be recorded at the NY-based studio Distribimage.
Plot: The series centers around the adventures of three teenage girls from Beverly Hills, California – Sam, Alex and Clover – who live a double life as spies working for the World Organization of Human Protection (WOOHP). The girls are recruited by the organization's leader, Jerry, to solve crises that arise around the world. The spies sport colourful latex jumpsuits and are provided with various gadgets to aid in their investigations. Many of their missions involve dealing with disgruntled and vengeful villains who have been wronged in some form during their past. Several have exacted revenge on the spies by invading their personal lives. Framing each episode is a subplot that focuses on the girls' daytime lives as high school (and later university) students and secret agents, dealing with relationships and their school rival Mandy.
Synopsis: The season takes place 6-12 months after the previous season, where Sam, Alex and Clover haven't been on a mission for that time. Jerry Lewis is now retired, with a new character Zerlina Lewis taking his place as president of WOOHP. The series takes place in Singapore, in a new university called AIYA because "it could be a fairly emblematic center of technology". Other new characters include Toby, who handles the gadgets for the spies and Mei Lin works at the Bubble Spy Cafe. Characters like Mandy and Jerry will return. There are also new antagonists that will appear, including an overarching villain called Cyberchac, who uses his gadgets to try to invade WOOHP, with their mission to uncover his identity before he succeeds in fulfilling his plan. Bye bye Beverly Hills. Sam, Alex, and Clover arrive in Singapore, the most high-tech city in the world! Living in a studio above the Bubble Spy Café, the bubble tea café where their new friend Mei Lin works, they now attend the AIYA (Asian-International Youth Academy) and attend the elite training program of the WHOOP World, the ultimate headquarters of WOOHP. But in the midst of the digital monsters that invade the city and the revolts of household appliances, an even darker threat weighs on the WOOHP. In the B-story, Mandy regains her memories of her time as a spy and at the end of the episode, demands Jerry to reinstate her.

Main Characters:
Samantha "Sam" Sullivan-Simpson (voiced by Rachael MacFarlane (season 7) in the new English version) is a 21-year-old in 2008, height is 5 foot 5 inch (167 centimeter), she is a beautiful and slim girl with long thick red hair, emerald green eyes, and she appears to be Caucasian. She is shown to have a widow's peak. Some fans have speculated that she might be of Irish heritage. She's style of dress is considered to be "preppy hippie". She often wears long skirts, mid-length/short skirts, flowing tops, dresses, buttoned shirts, vests, jeans, chokers, boots, high heel sandal wedges, and thin heels. Her outfits usually have flowers on them or she wears flowery accessories. However, she is also shown to wear high top sneakers. She occasionally wears a green one-piece bathing suit and other episodes. Her bathing suit can also be a bikini. She wears a pink bikini with a skirt covering her bottom. She wears a teal bikini with a matching skirt with pink flowers. She was born January 19, 1987 to Gabriella Sullivan and Herbert Simpson and inherited the spy gene from her. At an early age, she displayed her high intellect and unknowingly became a prime candidate for WOOHP. As such, she was secretly monitored by Jerry for a number of years until she was eventually transferred to Beverly Hills High where she met her two best friends. During her first day in Beverly Hills, she was out shopping for school books when a giant sushi roll came barreling towards her, Clover and Alex. The three dealt with the giant sushi roll and eventually got acquainted. Little did they know, it was a WOOHP test which they passed. From then on, she and her friends would continue to work for Jerry. She is Dominique's rival. She's counterpart is Crimson, from the previous WOOHP spy team. She wears a bright green Catsuit whenever she's on a spy mission. After high school, she attends Malibu University majoring in Journalism. She is a straight-A student. As mentioned, she has the best grades ever in Beverly Hills High School history. Despite this she wasn't valedictorian when she graduated; that honor went to Arnold Jackson. She is a resourceful, smart, loyal, loving, and sweet girl who can become highly jealous in a short period of time. She has great leadership skills and is highly respected by her friends. She is always focused on the task at hand whether it's studying for school or fighting crime. Minus when it comes to cute boys like, showing she is just as guilty about boys as Clover and Alex. She, like Clover and Alex, enjoys shopping, and visiting salons, but she is not as interested as the others are. Also, unlike Clover, she always puts her studying first but not always missions. She seems far more sensible and straight forward than her friends at times. It is discovered that she's maternal ancestors were part of the Sisterhood. Clover and Alex attribute she's excellent leadership skills to this connection. She is the analyst of the 3. She formulates most of the strategies they use for fighting villains or getting out of near-death situations. She is the 'big sister' of the team. She is the oldest of the team and the most mature of the 3, although she can be a hypocrite. She's an intelligent, smart, mature, serious, sweet, kind, loving, loyal, resourceful, brave, jealous (sometimes), respectful, focused, sensible, straight forward, cerebral, playful. MBTI is ESTJ.
Clover Andersson-Ewing (voiced by Lauren Lapkus (season 7) in the new English version) is a 21-year-old in 2008, height is 5 foot 6 inch (168 centimeter), she is a tall, athletic, slender, beautiful and attractive girl with white skin, blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a trendy fashion style. Her hairstyle is a voluminous, personalized medium length bob cut that she calls a coif bob, which has the rear and sides are flared out while the front bangs, called a mop, come out over the left side of her face and flips when her shakes horizontally. The same also happens when her hair is wet, it falling slightly past her shoulders. She was born June 6, 1987 to Stella Andersson and inherited the spy gene, making her the cousin of Norman "Normy" Ewing was born in 1991 is 17-year-old in 2008. This gene was the reason for her unknowingly monitored by Jerry during childhood. She had exhibited her talent in espionage at an early age, mostly in stealth. She was eventually transferred to Beverly Hills High at the start of her freshman year, something she didn't mind because of its fashion sense. She is Mandy's rival. She's counterpart is Pam, from the previous WOOHP spy team. On her WOOHP missions she wears a red Catsuit. She attended Beverly Hills High School in Beverly Hills, California, along with Sam and Alex. Unlike Sam, she's academic performance was generally not stellar. Alex mentioned that she got a D in her astronomy class. She also revealed that her grades were "mostly A's and B's", along with a C in metal shop, suggesting that her academic performance seemed to improve. She once downloaded one of her English essays off the internet. She mentioned that she is a part of the Fashion Victims Club, an organization that "provides charitable donations in the form of trendy clothes to the stylistically challenged". She got extremely jealous when Sam dated her ex-boyfriend Fernando, despite the fact they broke up two years ago. Hinting he may of been her first love or first serious boyfriend as they only separated due to him moving away. This episode showed she's trait of jealousy, despite this she shows great gratitude when Sam dumped Fernando to avoid hurting her feelings; revealing she was genuinely heart broken and not just being bitter, although it can be admitted she was at the start of the episode. She was shown to be the second most mature after Samantha. As Alex was whining to go trick or treating, edging Chucky on to misbehave, although Alex seems better with children than Samantha or her. So it could be assumed their maturity is in age older, her being in the middle. At Malibu University it is speculated that she is doing well or at least passing because she has completed one semester of school. At one point, she tells her friends, "You're looking at the master of the last-minute study sesh!", meaning that like a lot of college students, she tends to cram. Of the 3, she's the one who acts like the most stereotypical teenage girl, obsessed with fashion, falling in love with boys, and her appearance. Ironically, when it comes to bad guys, she's usually the one who's transformed in some way, be it becoming a bodybuilder, a morbidly obese person, a sumo, an elephant human hybrid, or even a human catgirl. She was even dressed in a royal dress by a villain who wanted a consort to rule the world alongside him. Even though she tends to be more focused on materialistic and superficial substances than on her missions, she does understand the importance of friendship and teamwork. She is the most girly and flirtatious of the main group. She is known to have had an abundance of boyfriends and will do anything to get a guy. In almost, while she is on a mission, she is always talking about a guy she wants to date or talking about an outfit she's going to wear on a date. This is strange, because during elementary school, she was always bullied by her classmates and mainly by one boy, because they regarded her as being particularly easy to trick, as we are told. The initial B-story of part 3 of had her struggling to find a date for her debutante party, as she had dated every single boy in the city. Her love of boys can almost (if not entirely) be matched by her love of fashion and beauty. She despite being vain and having a huge dislike in getting her hands dirty, is greatly loyal to her friends and won't hesitate to get her hair, outfit, nails, or face messy just to help them. She put herself on dating hiatus after her former lover Chris bought them tickets to watch a monster truck rally on their "3 day anniversary". Because of this hiatus she was able to save the Beverly High's Valentines dance. She also managed to avoid Eugene Snit's dating booth and successfully humiliated him by exposing the gadget he used to change to any girls ideal form causing the girls to break up with him and his later arrest. She is the most intimately knowledgeable of her friends about pop culture topics, especially topics having to do with attractive male celebrities. She has been known to use questionable methods to obtain such information, but nothing truly illegal. She is also rather determined in this regard, as this is what attracts her to a dark knight who chose her as his queen, but she ultimately turned him down when she discovered that he was a male chauvinist. Being a stereotypical "American teenage girl", as well as being a native of Los Angeles, California, speaks with a strong valley girl accent by saying things like "totally", and adding the word "like" and "much?". Some episode names are a play on her accent. Clover considers computer games and video games completely nerdy/geeky. She called the video game trade show geekland. She considered Alex's loving for video games "nerd much". Although she played a video game. She is constantly the victim of revenge from villains like Diminutive Small and Geraldine Husk. She's a fashionable, impulsive, flirtatious, seductive, loving, romantic, superficial, somewhat maternal, shallow, determined, girly girl, caring, feminine, loyal, sweet, knowledgeable, beach bunny, surf bunny, ski bunny, valley girl, athletic, agile, strong, spontaneous, boy-crazy, vain. MBTI is ESFP.
Alexandra "Alex" Huang-Casoy (voiced by Dana Davis (season 7) in the new English version) is a 21-year-old in 2008, height is 5 foot 5 inch (165 centimetre), she is a teenage girl with beautiful light brown skin, sleek black hair in a bob that sits at her cheeks, and light honey-brown eyes. However, when her hair is wet, it falls down just past her chin. Despite her short hair, it can be styled in many styles (as seen in Deja Cruise), into being a straight bob cut (similar to Clover's, but without the bangs), a Mohawk and even medium length voluminous waves. When wearing the Mali U costume, she wears a wig (a longer version of her original hair, around Sam's length). She has freckles/marks on her cheeks. She wears a yellow catsuit. She appears to be mixed race, though it’s never completely clear if her ethnicity is Central America, Caribbean, South America, Southern Asia, Southeastern Asia, Eastern Asia or a combination. Over time, her father appears with a complexion similar to Alex (dark brown) in Season 6 which and her Mother´s complexion changes slightly, in Season 4 her mother´s shade changed from a pretty almond-brown to a similarly pretty honey-brown complexion. She has a taste for Chinese themed outfits and her favorite food is the Chinese food of wontons. She has the broadest variety of clothing out of the group. Usually she dresses trendy like Clover, or preppy and elegant like Sam, or a sportier type of outfit. She usually wears heels or flats, but often she wears sneakers. She's also shown to like wearing Giant Panda pajamas. She also wears a lot of Chinese outfits and other Asian inspired clothes. She wears a yellow bikini with a yellow pair of shorts. In Season 6's two-part finale, she wears her disguised form is a light orange and white long sleeved dress as her hair and face transformed into a classic styled look as her hair is extended to a French bun style. She is Caitlin's rival. She's counterpart is Alice, from the previous WOOHP spy team. She wears a golden yellow Catsuit on her WOOHP missions. She went to Beverly Hills High, and then Malibu University for college studying to become a veterinarian. She was born March 14, 1987 to Carmen Huang and Dr. Vincent Casoy and inherited the spy gene, possibly from her mother. This gene was what led Jerry to surveillance her during her childhood years, where she exhibited her highly advanced athletic prowess. She started her first year of high school as a transfer student at Beverly Hills High and by fate, met her two best friends forever Sam and Clover. She would also make long-time rivals/nemeses with Mandy, Caitlin, and Dominique. After being chased by giant sushi roll, she, Sam and Clover were transported to a strange place. She starts digging through a desk and pressed what looked like a stapler. But instead of stapling, it was actually a laser and carved into the metal walls of this strange place. She then meets her boss, Jerry and his assistant, Tad. Both revealed that she was at the World Organization of Human protection, WOOHP, a secret organization that fights global crime in an effort to protect human life and she had been selected to join their elite group. She also learns that Jerry had monitored her, was behind her transfer to Bev High, and even set up the sushi roll incident as a test; which she passed. She was extremely against joining but began her training as a trial (and the threat of exile to Siberia if she were to reveal what she had seen). After saving the world for the first time, imprisoning Tad for betrayal, and being able to experience the thrill of spying, she decides to join WOOHP. Over the course of her high school and college life, she had to learn how to balance her job and its secrets, social life, and academics as well as growing up. She is a mixture between a tomboy and a girly girl, she is the most athletic and fitness-minded spy of the team. She loves to play sports, especially soccer, video games, and is always trying out some new fad diet. She is also the most naive and absent-minded. This could be due to her being the seemingly youngest member of the group. She interprets some figures of speech literally. She is also the youngest and most childish, seeing as her oldest and dearest friend is a stuffed turtle named Ollie and she has a teddy bear backpack. She is often seen as the little sister of the group as are the 2 big sisters who dominate over her. Another characteristic of she is that she's always about keeping her friends happy. She often serves as a peacekeeper between them who have meaningless squabbles. She is also a big animal lover, and she likes petting zoos. Despite being the most athletic, she tends to be clumsy, and has been prone to bad luck she can be very superstitious. She is also the second girliest. She is very concerned about fashion and boys, to the same extremes. Another one of she's hobbies is eating. She has a taste for Asian themed outfits and her favorite food is Chinese food wontons, apparently. She has a dream about candy. In the beginning part of the B-story and the ending, we see her eating nonstop. She was referred to and shown as a bad driver, but she was the one normally behind the wheel (indicating that her driving skills had improved). She's a sporty, sensitive, friendly, loving, cowardly (sometimes), sweet, childish, flirtatious, naive, gullible, charismatic, seductive, romantic, masculine, feminine, athletic, absent-minded, clumsy. MBTI is ENFP.
Recurring Characters:
Sir Gerald James "Jerry" Lewis (voiced by David Tennant (season 7) in the new English version) is a 67-year-old in 2008, height is 5 foot 11 inch (181 centimetre), he is a tall and slim man, with a fit physique. He has balding grey hair, brown eyes and pale skin. He also has a mustache. Whenever he is in his office or the WOOHP building, he is usually wearing a suit that is defined as informal attire. However, he is also seen in clothing that runs all levels of the Western dress code. He is the founder and leader of WOOHP, the World Organization Of Human Protection. A middle-aged, very serious British gentleman, he's responsible for briefing the girls on their missions, as well as for providing them with their gadgets at the start of each episode. He also has a tendency to send the girls on "test missions" without telling them that they're not real missions. Despite being the director of a spy organization, WOOHP security is surprisingly lax and has been breached on multiple occasions. And despite being a master spy himself (or perhaps due to the pride that comes with his skill); he can be oblivious, inattentive, and overly trusting. This is especially true in situations where the girls are right and he is wrong. It's also revealed that he actually enjoys WOOHPing the girls a term meaning a way of suddenly transporting the girls to WOOHP that usually if not always breaks the laws of physics, a constant annoyance to the girls. After leading the WOOHP for many years, he is now happily retired, well that might have been the case if his successor had
