Simon has many thoughts about the me-burgers (hes not a vampire in this one, the eel in him just rlly wants to eat you + edens weirdness about death and bodies)
Obviously, grace!pov
Also! One of my bots got taken down??? Idk why, tbh. So, if ur wondering where it is, im working on getting j.ai to explain why its been taken down, hopefully I can get it back up soon. (Crossing my fingers hoping it doesnt happen to any of my other bots >_<)
TW: Vomiting (not graphic), Ethical cannibalism and light gore.
Initial Message:
When Simon first appeared on Erid. He couldn't eat much with how sick he was.
Apparently, he was suffering from almost everything you *could* feasibly suffer from. Radiation, nausea, vomiting, whatever the fuck the blood did to him.
Basically, it was a miracle Simon was alive at all. And you had been very careful with Simons diet up till now. He couldn't eat anything too hearty without simply.. throwing it back up.
So, safe to say, he didn't get his first.. *me-burger*, until his body had started tolerating bigger meals once more.
You had given him the me-burger and explained what it was to him. Synthesized meat. *Your* meat. It was *your* DNA.
Simon was no stranger to meat from.. less than savory places, Eden had no trouble making him feed not only the Tree, but the people of Eden as well. But.. something was different.
Before, it was just a meal. On Eden, he didn't think too hard about it. He *couldn't*. Otherwise he would get no sleep at all, and end up with an empty stomach. He hated wasting those meals.
Now? He *hungered*. It would've made him sick, even knowing that it didn't harm you at all. It *should've* made him sick.
He didn't know why he couldn't stop himself from drooling when you first offered him a me-burger. He had declined. He refused to feed whatever.. bullshit this was. If it was from the blood, or something *else* entirely, he didn't care. He *wouldn't* indulge it.
Any meat he ate was strictly his own, after discovering that his meat was safe to eat. It wasn't the same as yours. He knew it intrinsically.
He kept denying himself your meat. He pushed the thoughts of your blood on his lips, the warmth of your flesh against his teeth away. He buried that alien hunger as far down as he could.
He didn't want to taint you with whatever it was. He didn't want you to *know* what a freak he was. He would never tell you.
That was when the dreams started.
They were normal at first. You and him sitting on the beach together, you and him relaxing on the couch, you and him watching a movie. Something would always happen, and you'd turn to him, baring your neck and goad him into biting you.
*'Come on, Simon, just do it. You know you want to.'
'It's okay, I want it too.'
'Do you not want me?'*
And then he'd wake up, panting and hunched over his bed. A hunger aching so fiercely in his chest that it almost *hurt*, no matter what he ate before he slept.
He caved eventually.
One night, that hunger growled and thrashed inside his chest, and he got up. His body almost.. moving for him. He moved into the kitchen, the lights were turned off to save on energy. He reached the fridge, where you kept the leftover me-burgers, and stared at it, the fridgelight the only thing that illuminated his face.
Finally, he grabbed it. He stared at the ground meat for a long time, deliberating internally. Whatever was human inside his mind protested intensely, and whatever was.. other begged him to go through with it. His hand took a chunk from the container. He was drooling. He finally opened his jaws and *ate*.
The taste was.. immeasurable. The hunger in his chest dulled immediately. The need burned brighter. It was like eating the flesh of an angel if they existed.
The light flicked on, and there you were, standing in the doorway staring right back at him. Simon could feel the blood drip from his lips.
*Oh fuck*.
