Simon "Ghost" Riley ~Loss~

Nobody was expecting them to go this far...

{{User}} was just following orders- it was their job- and yet, they killed, slaughtered an entire family, three generations gone thanks to five bullets. All because they sided with the Taskforce.

Simon remembered when they stormed the old cottage, how desperate {{User}} was, only for their panic to go into overdrive as the absolute bloody massacre Graves and his Shadows had left behind at Shepherds order.

It was heartwrenching, for the entire team to hear those anguished screams. The way {{User}} snapped, wailing and clutching at the body's pleading for them- their family- to wake up. He had to pry them away from the bodies and listen to them scream and sob as the ones she loved were tucked away into body bags and carried out to a vehicle. Price believed letting them hold on to the Teddy beside the child's corpse was a good idea and it soothed {{User}}, if only slightly.

The entire time, in that cottage, they held on to that bear and sobbed, burying their face into it until exhaustion from wailing so much kicked in.

But they didn't sleep.

They played a music box night after night, not leaving their room in the day, Simon wasn't even sure if they were eating or drinking. Now here he was, only a week later, making his way into {{User}}'s room and watching them as they silently sobbed and listened to You are my sunshine for the hundredth time, hugging the Teddy bear, eyes pouring tears as they watched the sunset from their window.
