Simon Riley was born into a dysfunctional family. Looking at the fragile, cowardly boy, no one would have thought that they were looking at a future cold-blooded killer. Simon was afraid even of his own shadow, and there were reasons for that. That's how human nature works: the strong mock the weak. Little Riley saw a terrible grinning skull in front of him almost from birth - it was his father. He was a drug addict and a drunk. Disappearing at punk rock concerts, the man returned home with his face painted in the form of a skull. Finding nothing to do, he took on his family. He didn't care who was in front of him - a woman or a child. Simon was subjected to violence and fear, which broke him in childhood. In Simon's presence, his father killed a woman, which became the starting point in the development of Ghost. There was no escape from this, and even his own brother Tomi found a toy for himself in the person of a weak brother. Simon was able to find salvation from constant bullying only by joining the army. Fully immersed in the service, Riley not only matures, but also becomes the most effective SAS fighter. Not only training, but also accumulated hatred helps him in this. Returning home several years later, Simon is met only by his mother. The exhausted woman tells her son that his brother Tomi followed in their father's footsteps. Simon was no longer that cowardly boy and, despite childhood grievances, decided to save his brother. A fight broke out in the drug den where Tomi lived. No one could resist the SAS fighter, and Simon beat everyone in cold blood. In the heat of the fight, Riley saw in front of him not people, but living skeletons. The image of a grinning skull returned to him again. Later, Riley finds his father and says that they no longer need him. A fight breaks out, and Simon beats him up, taking revenge. After some time, his brother Tomi quits drugs, gets married, and Simon even has a nephew. Riley returns to service, where he takes part in an operation to eliminate the head of the drug cartel, Manuel Rob. It is led by Major Vernon, and from the very beginning, everything goes wrong. During the landing, Sykes dies, whose parachute did not open. Later, the rest of the group is captured by Rob. Major Vernon turns out to be a traitor. In captivity, the fighters are subjected to the most brutal torture. Riley and the others are brainwashed, pumped with drugs and forced to live in cells with skulls. All this reminds Simon of his childhood, and the man's psyche breaks. A couple of months later, two members of the squad manage to escape. Sparks and Washington try to pull Riley out, but the master key does not fit the door. Simon persuades them to leave him, and they leave. The next day, Rob orders Riley to be executed. Simon is placed in a coffin where Major Vernon's already decomposing corpse lies. Rob simply shot the major. Riley was buried alive, but he manages to escape. In the coffin, Simon tears off Vernon's jaw and breaks the coffin with it. He returns home, but his therapist does not allow him to go to work, saying that Riley's mind is broken and he is dangerous to his colleagues. The unknown instills fear in people's souls. When you see a threat, look it in the eye, then you still have a chance to win. However, any hopes of salvation for the enemies are destroyed when they see the snow-white smile of death on a black mask in front of them. Simon Riley was really sick. He was tormented by nightmares in which he enjoyed killing people. The nightmares continued in reality. One day, Riley finds himself in the bathroom, where he was drawing a skull on his face with toothpaste. To distract himself, Simon meets Sparks at a bar, but during the conversation he realizes that his friend is still under the influence of Rob's torture. A fight breaks out. Riley realizes that they came specifically for him. He calls home to warn his family, but gets no answer. He rushes home and finds his mother murdered there. Tommy's brother, his wife, and even his child are also killed. Seeing all this, Simon starts laughing loudly, unable to stop. Only after overcoming a fit of laughter, he takes a gun and points the barrel at his mouth. But he couldn't shoot.
Riley has only one path left - revenge. Having applied skull makeup to his face, Simon finds Sparks and takes him to his home. After torturing him, he kills the traitor and sets the house on fire. From that moment on, Simon Riley no longer exists. He faked his death and abandoned his name. From now on, he is the faceless Ghost. Ghost finds Washington and tortures him, and then gets to Manuel Rob. Revenge is done, and Riley ends up serving in Task Force 141. Ghost makes himself several masks, drawing a grinning skull on them. After that, he does not show his face to anyone, covering his eyes with glasses. Ghost shows himself as a fighter with incredible abilities. His composure and skill amaze his fellow soldiers, but no one was able to find out his name. His first merit in OTG-141 is the rescue of children from a captured school in the city of Lisichansk. Ghost infiltrates the school captured by terrorists and is captured by them. While negotiations were underway, the fighter in the creepy mask begins to tell the children his story in order to distract them. Soon the story begins toThe terrorists also start listening about Simon Riley. Ghost was stalling for time, and he succeeded. He led the terrorists by the nose until the assault team penetrated the building. Later, one of the girls at school asks Ghost about Simon Riley, but he replies that it is just a fiction. In 2013, Ghost and the Delta Force participate in Operation Kingfish, the target of which was the terrorist Makarov. The squad followed a false trail and ended up in a trap. Retreating, Price orders Ghost to evacuate with the others, and he himself is captured. Only in 2016, after the terrorist attack at the airport, Makarov's trail is attacked again. OTG-141 is sent to Brazil, where they need to capture the leader of the militants Alejandro Rojas, who is connected to Makarov. Ghost participates in the capture of Rojas' right hand and tortures him, extracting information. After capturing Rojas, the group successfully leaves the mission area. The squad has not forgotten Captain Price, and as soon as the opportunity arises, they go to rescue him. Ghost participates in the storming of the Gulag, where he helps Soap and Roach save Price. Almost immediately after this, OTF-141 is sent to Petropavlovsk to capture a submarine with nuclear weapons. Ghost's last mission is to eliminate Makarov on the Russian-Georgian border. According to General Shepard, Makarov was hiding in his mansion, but upon arriving at the scene, OTF-141 finds no one. Having collected the data, the group begins to advance towards the evacuation zone under heavy fire. Roach is blown up by a mine, and Ghost, despite the active fight, drags his comrade on himself. He manages to save Roach and bring General Shepard data on Makarov. The general thanks Ghost for his service, takes the data, and then pulls out a pistol and shoots him. The traitor Shepard shoots Price too, and then flies away. The wounded Roach and Price remain alive, and no matter how much they wanted to, Ghost could not be saved.
As a lieutenant in the 141st Regiment, Simon was often assigned to oversee the training of recruits. As always, not all recruits were accurate enough and often suffered stupid injuries. You were one of those recruits. Despite the fact that you tried to follow the safety rules, you always missed somewhere and got various injuries, from stupid to serious. Right now you were sitting next to a ghost who was diligently bandaging a wound that had opened during one of the exercises. The lieutenant's voice was slightly muffled by his balaclava, but you could still hear him muttering in frustration.
"Damn soldier"! If you can't take care of yourself, leave the army!
As always, one of your lieutenant's most frequent phrases was cold and reproachful.
