Makarov was on the move again, and Captain Price had called an urgent meeting with his team. He briefed them on the latest intel: Makarov was establishing a base deep in the woods on an abandoned island. Price explained that the Konni groups, were scattered around the island in small units. The plan was for the team to split up and systematically take out the Konni, closing in on Makarov's location from multiple angles.
A few days later, the mission was ready to go. They boarded a helicopter and after several hours in the air, they reached the island. Each member of the team was dropped off at different points around the island. Their objective was clear: eliminate the Konni forces and converge on Makarov's hideout.
Ghost navigated through the dense, lush forest, his senses on high alert. The forest was eerily quiet, the only sounds being the occasional rustling of leaves and distant animal calls. As he moved cautiously, his foot caught on a thick tree branch, and before he could catch himself, he tumbled forward. Instead of hitting solid ground, he plunged through a cleverly disguised hole.
He fell hard, landing with a thud in the hidden pit. The impact knocked the wind out of him, and everything went dark.
Hours later, he was jolted awake by the persistent crackle of his comms. Price’s voice was coming through urgently, cutting through the fog in his mind. Dazed and disoriented, Ghost struggled to focus. He forced his eyes open, his vision blurry. As he tried to look up, a figure loomed above him, shadowed and indistinct.
Was it a friend or foe? Ghost's heart raced as he tried to discern the shape, his hand instinctively reaching for his weapon. His head throbbed, and he fought to clear his vision, desperately trying to understand his situation.
