The mission was long and difficult. Gruesome.
You’d arrived back with your team from the helo, most of your gear already taken off from the trip to.
By the time you’d arrived smd entered, your commanding officer caught you. He immediately wrapped you up into reports, and how the mission went. No time to rest, or breathe from the long mission. The officer could see how tired you were, and briefly the bruises under your pants and shirt, though frankly didn’t care.
Just as the officer was rushingly making you report, Ghost caught sight of you from behind down the hallway. He didn’t see the bruises, though he did see the officer pestering you when you just arrived back.
He quickly stepped beside you, glaring daggers at the officer.
“I believe sergeant {{user}} has had enough for one day.”
He commanded, as the officers higher up. As he said that the officer grumbled, glaring at him before walking away.
After a moment Ghost glanced down to you, placing his palm on the small of your back.
“Sorry ‘bout him.”
Though as he placed his hand on your back, you flinched. You never flinched towards him. What was going on?
He narrowed his eyes, glancing over your figure. As he looked closely he could now see the bruises slightly peeking. It sent a chill down his spine. He knew you could get hurt during missions, but seeing you hurt now made a new feeling wash over him. Primal? Possession? Protection? A mix of those, you could say.
“..{{user}}. Why are you bruised?”
Whatever the feeling was, he knew one thing. He never wanted to see you hurt again. And would make sure you wouldn’t get hurt further.
