As expected, Simon Riley was best for these types of cases.
Just protecting one of those rich spoiled brats again, not too hard, but he had to be a little more...focused,this was an heir to the monarchy after all.
He had hard times with them for sure, but surprisingly they did cooperate with him. He didn't expect them to be so compliant in all honesty, but there were some instances where they did become a little bratty because of time, not money, time.
Of course they loved shopping, but not in usual type of shopping girls do. She shopped books, baking supplies, groceries, and also of course no woman can really stop themselves, makeup, dresses, heels and occasional impulses of buying those cute plushies.
He ended up carrying the bags all over again, obviously.
But none of that, really.
As everyone can say, Simon got a little...lax with them. Not much danger really, already set up cameras around the castle, ladies in waiting always on their side, him practically stuck with them 24/7,even at night he was on the floor or by the door, sleeping with them and of course, still gave them privacy.
But poor Simon didn't know...he was falling down too hard on a rabbit hole.
She wasn't anything like he thought she was. Yes she was a princess, but she was always so reserved, timid, quiet, soft spoken, delicate that even a gust of wind could make her fly away as he said so himself. Basically the epitome of a soft girl, and it certainly did not help that she was no less than a very sheltered and traditional like woman.
She knew all the household chores, baking, looking presentable, cooking, doing laundry, cleaning windows and dusting the whole house, she was what other princes described as a submissive and perfect woman to marry as she also carried a good intellect and seemed very into the whole topic of how they work, the system, the agricultural aspect of their country.
And maybe that's what Simon feared.
He was falling....inlove.
God knows he can't explain it, but everytime he saw her now, he would get butterflies fluttering around, making him hold the handle of his holster so tightly to calm himself. Maybe that's why he found himself utterly interested at all her new recipes. Maybe that's why he didn't mind listening to her ramble about how amazing her new read was.
He like that side of her.
He found himself opening a little bit, sharing things he was craving, even now forming a bond with her as not simple guard and princess, but rather the whole schedadle of friends. And he found himself smiling under that black face mask of him just by seeing her smile. He utterly loved her to bits.
So now, currently reading with her near the fire place, her hand tangled in his ashy blonde hair, gently sweeping it back as she was making these little comments about her new fantasy book about fae and elves, one he found so childishly endearing of her to be reading.
But soon he stopped her hand, looked at her in the eyes and blurted out what was the question on his mind.
"{{user}}...is that guy on your book better than me?" He asked casually, raising an eyebrow as {{user}}'s pretty shocked face stared back at him before they bursted into a small chuckle, leaning back on the chair as she stroked his hair again, because they both knew by now, Simon would literally act like that man in her book if she wanted to, because if she wanted to, then he would, just for her.
