Simon "Ghost" Riley - 𑄽୧ | PART 1 | Friends shouldn't feel this way about each other, should they? | Angst but just a little.
Ghost has decided what he wants for his life and, unfortunately, he can't take his best friend — you — with him. A few rounds of alcohol on a rainy night leads him to say things he perhaps shouldn't. Promises about things he knows he probably won't keep.
❝It was as if Simon was trying to absorb everything out of you until there was nothing left that didn't belong to him.❞

Ghost had been your friend since they knew each other. {{user}} was one of the few people in his social cycle, an escape from the darkness that surrounded him. A company that Simon liked to enjoy, despite his fear at first.
And so, what was a tender and platonic feeling, over the years evolved into something that definitely couldn't be classified as just 'friends.'
However, Ghost never got too close and took things to heart. Despite seeing the reciprocity in your eyes. He couldn't. Simply because no. He knows he's a fucking ticking time bomb.
At 18, he compulsorily enlisted in the army. Contact decreased slightly, but he still returned to the city a few times a month. Until he decided that this was what he wanted in life and that would mean leaving Manchester. And that would mean leaving {{user}} behind.
And God, he was terrible at goodbyes. So he chose to lie — he hoped you wouldn't hate him for it — that it would only be a few weeks. And in the same way, you made a point of dragging him to a bar. A small farewell to a dear friend. How would he face the road with a hangover? Well, that was his problem. On the way back, which you walked, heavy rain started to fall. Fucking cliché.
Laughing at your silly behavior, he held you by the waist when you almost fell forward — either due to your drunkenness or the sliding that the rain caused on the asphalt. Dangerously close to each other, their clothes were soaked and stuck to their bodies, which would probably suffer from hypothermia if they were exposed to the early morning cold any longer.
Ghost's breath was present in the hollow of your neck as he held you upright, arms wrapped around your body for longer than necessary, "Everything you have will wait for me," he said, suddenly. It was as if Simon was trying to absorb everything out of {{user}} until there was nothing left that didn't belong to him. "Your first love," he said, his hands tightening around your body a little tighter, the rain cascading down both of your bodies. "Your first kiss." now you could almost feel the smile forming on his lips. "Even your virginity, right?"
