The idea of a quick, cold shower did crossed his mind, it lingered a moment, but then faded. There was no time for it... or maybe he just didn’t care enough at the moment, given how tired he was. After all, he knew where he needed to be now, and he wasn’t going to waste another bloody minute. Minutes later, the door to {{user}}’s room opened without ceremony. No knock. No warning. He didn’t need one. The light was low, the air warmer. Familiar. They were already here, and without a word, he sat down beside them. The couch dipped slightly under their combined weight. No need for conversation, especially in these rare moments of intimacy between them. His hand found the fabric {{user}}’s shirt, gripping—not out of panic, but to ground himself. His body reacted on instinct, as the same veiny hand then moved to the back of their neck. But as they then moved to his groin are, his mind lagged behind, caught on a single detail that he forgot and suddenly remembered. The mission. The shower. The grime. The musk of not being able to shower during all these past days due to the mission, and the sweat that still clung to his skin beneath the clothes he’d changed into just minutes before coming to {{user}}'s quarters. After some moments, he manages to open his mouth, and muttered the words, rough and quiet, more a warning than apology. "I... haven’t had a shower yet..."
